    Reposting a must see .

This is what journalism looks like. Jon Snow interviewing Mark Regev on Gaza.

      I watched this broadcast open-mouthed.
Please, everyone who thinks we don’t know what israel is telling itself, just watch this.

Incredible. The interviewer actually challenged the talking points and brought up actual circumstances and facts! Then asks why they won’t talk. Excellent question.

    • July 21, 2014 at 6:29 pm

      And they both speak English.

So the people who fired and killed those 4 boys didn’t know they were children, just like Putin’s mob didn’t know MH17 was a civilian plane. If they stopped shooting – this would not happen.

US needs to stop funding Israel and their wars.

Most recent number of Israeli military deaths is 25. In 2008 the 4 week war cost Israel 6 soldiers. Now 25 Israeli soldiers perished in 4 days. Big escalation of price Israel is paying.

Israel will not be able to be so smug that only Palestinian citizens are being killed for much longer.

I sure would like to see a cease-fire on terms that Palestinians can trust, not like in 2012 where israel pledged to ease Gaza siege and then reneged.

Speaker of the House John Boehner’s decision to sue President Obama is raising an epic amount of grassroots dollars for Democrats. In June, House Democrats out-raised House Republicans $4.5 million to $883,000 in grassroots donations.

        this

      • July 21, 2014 at 6:27 pm

It is evidence that an explosive device causing multiple penetrations of the fuselage was involved in downing the plane, Layla.

          July 21, 2014 at 6:34 pm

TY Bob, still does that prove it was Putin and his murderers. Does it have to do with the nature/number of the penetrations therefor linking this to the Russians..so sorry to bother you with this. I just think that statement is very definitive.

          • July 21, 2014 at 6:47 pm

The weapon system that we know is in E Ukraine and supplied by Russia is capable of doing that type of damage. No ambiguity about it and that weapon system would not be in E Ukraine without Putin’s authorization.

When I refer to weapon system, I’m not merely referring to the missile but to the entire command and control infrastructure required for a missile to hit its target. Extensive radar, communications, real time data analysis, and trained personnel are required. The only source of all those skills, equipment and communications infrastructure, in this instance, is Russia. This is not speculation or ‘conspiracy theory,’ btw.

            Hope that helps.

Sweet! I loved PBO’s humorous remarks about their wedding anniversary falling on this day and how honoree said it would be hard to top being awarded the Medal of Honor on this day. And PBO said as someone with the experience of being married for 20 years, he advised honoree to try.

  13. July 21, 2014 at 6:03 pm

Well, Mr. MuscatineGal survived his first experience of canvassing door-to-door for the Bruce Braley For Senate campaign yesterday. He reports it was tough to get started, but once he did a few houses it got easier. He got a several folks who wanted to chat, a few who took the pamphlets and shut the door, and a few who hid out in their houses. There were only a couple who said “We’re Republicans” and slammed the door. Job well done, Mr. MuscatineGal – and all of you TODers who do this regularly, it’s a tough assignment! This week Mr. MuscatineGal is staffing the Democrats booth for a couple of morning shifts at the Johnson County fair. Hmmm, they just happen to have yummy food there as well……

      Way to go, mr. muscatinegal!

I’ll bet that mr. muscatinegal would offer the same advice that PBO did today to the most recent MOH recipient, LOL.

NBC news with Richard Engle reporting just brutal from medical facility in Gaza——–overwhelmed with death and gruesome injuries. This is just barbaric—–all these children lined up in the facility, paralyzed, unable to speak, missing limbs etc. etc. etc. Talk about man’s inhumanity to man. Gut wrenching.

    • July 21, 2014 at 6:47 pm

I can barely watch the news these days Dotster, what’s happening in Gaza is just too much, and no one is doing a friggin’ thing to help them.

      Totally wishful thinking…..in this way.

GOP women are as troubling as their men. Dem women are not in larger numbers, yet. The sad part is with almost 52% of the population and 54% of the electorate…….women vote against their interest in the GOP party and in midterms…..consistency is needed to get women to help stop the GOP invasion of our form of Democratic Republic.

In the campaign season prior to the 2008 general election I ran into a woman that was enthusiastically supporting Sarah Palin. When I asked why? She replied that their pastor’s wife said she was a good Christian and the woman herself thought that SP would not get us into a war being a mother. Sarah Palin was the extreme opposite of what this woman thought.

Activism cannot be just about staking out your positions and refusing to compromise. Politics and public policy aren’t about making you feel good about how “pure” you are. Because activism, you see, is not about you. It’s about us.
