Hi df – I just posted my comment below on the last thread – so brought it over – 10 seconds after you arrived 🙂 I’m always pleased when someone other than the BT posts ahead of me!

Not for long – past my bedtime – can’t believe I’m on the same side as our PM at the minute – I guess tragedy does make for people coming together in grief – main reason why GWB won his 2nd term – but I won’t be voting to give the PM a second term.

Hope Sunday is a good day for all at TOD

Every media outlet in the US seems to evaluate anything said or done in the world in relation to President Obama. it seems they can’t help themselves. Apparently the Malaysian government has not yet put the blame on Russia for bringing down their aircraft – yet this is how the NYT describes it

“Malaysia’s caution about joining Mr. Obama’s effort to blame Russia also reflects the wariness that many in this heavily Muslim nation feel toward the United States.”
    http://www.nytimes.com/2014/07/21/world/asia/as-anger-rises-over-crash-malaysian-government-is-reluctant-to-assign-blame.html

Yet PM Cameron has an item on the front page of the Sunday Times (London) with the heading “This is an atrocity made in Moscow”
My PM has put the blame onto Moscow and I’m sure other countries have done the same – so

Why does the press have to say Malaysia is cautious about joining “Mr Obama’s effort” – there is a WORLD WIDE effort putting the blame where it belongs – and sooner rather than later Malaysia will join in.

Madam Lindsey just called John Kerry delusional . Madam Graham is pissed, he wants SEC DEF position in a republican administration. God help us
Good thing I got twitter to let me know what people are saying. Lol.

  5. July 20, 2014 at 10:29 am

    Lol.

      Classified – Help Wanted:

      -Are you black?
-Are you strapped for cash or need some extra money for a special project/vacation/expense?
-Do you crave attention, no matter what?
-Are you willing to say something, ANYTHING negative about President Obama, whether or not it’s true, whether or not you believe it?

Well, you’re in luck!!! The media wants YOU now. We will pay you X2 the going rate just to come on cable TV and say bad things about the President. Just make up something – anything about Barack Obama, as long as it’s negative, and in no time, you’ll be rolling in $$$$$, getting invites from all cable/broadcast networks, and receiving tons of “love mail” from certain prominent people/groups!

Call 1-800-000-0000 for more information. Call NOW – we’re sitting, just waiting (im)patiently for your call 24/7!

Yes and you start off as a Private like the Army.

Just hoping that one day PBO or one of his spokespersons would just say: “Yeah, I heard John McCain and/or Lindsay Graham or all the Republicans are saying ……… so once I’m/(PBO is) doing something else , the USA is on the right path .” Drop mic…

      • July 20, 2014 at 11:51 am

Kristina Van de Houvel’s husband, Stephen Cohen ( blame America ) just got slapped around by Christina Freeland and Fareed Zakaria on GPS.

Freeland is now a member of the Canadian Parliment. Cohen claims to be a Russia expert.

      July 20, 2014 at 10:43 am

Cohen is a professor of Russian Studies at NYU. That’s his “day” job. Methinks he has a “night job” that he doesn’t want you to know about – and that job is directly off Putin’s payroll…

  11. July 20, 2014 at 10:43 am

LOL ! ERR Blame obama , scared of Hillary, build up Warren… Etc…
Meanwhile, I am going to get a grouper sandwich with my golden lab on Clearwater beach.

Good morning everyone, and HAPPY BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY TO YOU!

Hope that everyone will take time out, if you haven’t already, to get away from (TV, twitter, internet, newspapers etc.) so much hurt, sadness and ugliness that is being exhibited from every corner of the globe.

It doesn’t mean that one doesn’t care but it’s good for the soul, spirit, and mind, to refresh and regroup. I made a decision to do it yesterday, and it was refreshing to step away from it all; take in the sun, enjoyed good company, laughter and good food.

Wishing all a very BLESSED and WONDERFUL DAY; filled with joy, laughter, love, and above all, compassion toward others.
    Blessings,

      • July 20, 2014 at 11:33 am

There are so many trouble areas that are careening into sheer horror, I’ve lost count. And it’s pretty much been this way for most of his presidency, from one crisis to the next – economy, mass shootings, natural disasters, racists, Supreme Court, Snowden, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia, Israel, Hamas, every single Republican in Congress and on and on and on. I just can’t believe it.

The President never have a moment off, but that do nothing Congress, have they left for their month vacation yet? They won’t be back till after Labor Day. Now just imagine the B.S. from the media and right wing haters if President Obama and his family go on a month long vacation.

WHAT A DISAPPOINTING MORNING THIS MORNING FOR ME…MAKES ME CRY…HEARING FOOLISH PEOPLE AFRAID OF IMMIGRANT CHILDREN! SISSY PANTS..PASS THE HIGHCHAIR…OOPS..SORRY…GUESS IT’S ALREADY OCCUPIED BY RUSTY… HE NEEDS A LIFT AT THE BAR AGAIN!

Sad to hear of James Garner’s passing. I grew up crushing up on him in in movies (The Great Escape, Duel at Diablo, Grand Prix, Support Your Local Sheriff) and later in Rockford Files. A terrific actor.

        Yes, Yes, Yes!

He also played President in this comedy with Jack Lemmon and Dan Ackroyd (3 legends) called ‘My Fellow Americans’
Check it out if you can. The entire film is on YouTube.

By the way, I had no idea about his politics, but found this today…

We have a couple of classic movie channels – I hope one of them does a tribute to him and show V/V.

Hello TODers! Apollo 11 flight to the moon and then the moon walk anniversary today getting lots of coverage. Liz Suckow is a NASA Headquarters contract archivist & trivia nut who is tweeting as it happened 45 years ago. I remember it well and took pictures of the tv screen. It was so exciting and nice to remember all of the hope and well-being that went with the space program then.

As Chips can attest, my reply to 99ts comment (that she reposted upthread) was posted after this thread began.

Here’s my response to 99ts’ comment about Muslim issues delaying response from Malaysia.

    * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

The reticence is shared by the Dutch — not just Malaysia.

But I think the Dutch’s outrage over the treatment of their best and brightest is beginning to outweigh their economic concerns.

Also, Merkel and Cameron seem to be relying on President Obama (aka “leading from behind,” if you believe our gossip-mongers known as the MSM) to move forward with the West’s long-term strategic action against Putin.

      It is a twisted world.

11M Belgium population did well before USSR and after and today for some reason…..EU is looking more like Euro of 1914. Pathetic. I say US…….should say, are you ready to do the right thing or not. If they are not, then stay what they will face and US should just wash their hands.
