I just got word that a little kitten I found last week already has a forever home! She was very sweet so I’m really happy she will be well cared for and loved. Hope everyone here is having a great day!

    Ms. Chips,
What happened? You are always first!
I am still laughing at the dog pose on another post.

  6. July 15, 2014 at 11:56 am

Shh this is supposed to be a big secret. Then, when GOP doesn’t fund highway bill, we can blame obama.
    That’s the plan anyways.

  9. July 15, 2014 at 12:04 pm

Just as I expected, no cspan or media coverage.
    This is scary guys.
The President thought he would be able to talk about this to the media and by proxy the people, instead the red light on top of camera is dark?

Smear smear smear! Nothing about the GOP. Just smear the president so he can’t fundraise.

On one level, based upon historical data, the analysis is correct. However, there is one thing that is totally missing: the impact of just how horrible the GOP is right now.

There has never been a minority party that has been this obstructionistic, as crazy, as outright lunatic as the current GOP is. The approval for the GOP is at record lows.

He is making the mistake called equating commonality with causality. It is the assumption that the only thing that impacted the elections were Presidential approval ratings. No doubt, they play a role, but they are not the only thing.

The MSM is doing its GOP “wish projection” again. Remember in 2012 they told us that PBO lost support of Black voters, the GOP closed the gender gap, 2012 would be more like 2010 than 2008? All turned out to be bullshit. As I posited a few weeks ago, the MSM/GOP strategy appears to be totally based on a propaganda/media war against PBO in hopes of demoralizing Dems and protecting the GOP from scrutiny. This strategy was perfectly encapsulated in the “PBO must go to the border” nonsense spewed by propagandists (left, right and center) distracting attentions from GOP refusal to fund a solution to the problem. Sadly some fell for the “shiny object”, but many people saw through the charade. The Senate looks like it will remain in Dem control and I have real doubts about the expert’s proclamations that we have no chance of retaking the House. The Dems have a winning message and the GOP/MSM know it(that explains the virtual media blackout of PBO’s speech today). Although the media refuses to say it, the GOP do nothing “strategy” is very risky because it will turn off Independent voters and enrage Dems. It is already happening. The fact that the media refuses to admit this reality should be reason for one to take anything they say with a HUGE grain of salt. Truth and unbiased coverage will become increasingly rare as election day approaches.

He also said that the WORLD COMMUNITY needs to make these countries safe for the people. AGREED

In a letter Monday to a Vatican conference in Mexico City on human migration and development, the pontiff said that immigration has become a hallmark of modern society. โ€œMany people forced to emigrate suffer, and often, die tragically,โ€ Francis said, according to a Vatican Radio translation. โ€œMany of their rights are violated. They are obliged to separate from their families and, unfortunately, continue to be the subject of racist and xenophobic attitudes.โ€ The pope drew special attention to the crisis on the U.S. border. He said that not only must the children be welcomed but the world must also promote development in their home countries.

Jovie here’s my point…see anything about HRC? Nope. It’s all about diminishing PBO for the midterms, because he is in fact the biggest threat to the GOP and the GOP-loving media.

    • July 15, 2014 at 12:38 pm

It’s just incredible that a Washington Post writer would use any ‘research’ done by a GOP lobbyist and donor – even if it’s based on facts, it’s inevitably going to be skewed to suit his politics. Unfrigginbelievable.

He’s banking on people not knowing the source of his propaganda. But that won’t work. People are more aware than the media thinks.

      We will Keep the Senate.
We will Expand our number in the House.
We will Replace at least 5 Republican Governors with Democratic Governors.

Republicans Sneak Amendment Into Bill That Forces The Pentagon To Deny Climate Change

The new amendment prohibits both the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Army Corps of Engineers from acknowledging or spending even one penny โ€œto design, implement, administer or carry out specified assessments regarding climate change.โ€

According to McKinley, โ€œCongress should not be spending money pursuing an ideologically driven experiment. Spending precious resources to pursue a dubious climate change agenda compromises our clean-energy research and Americaโ€™s infrastructure,โ€ McKinley is a typical Republican liar because the same spending bill forbidding the Energy Department and Army Corp of Engineers from spending to design, implement, administer, or carry out anything to do with climate change also slashed $100 million from the DOEโ€™s budget for renewable and clean energy programs while increasing federal funding for coal and other fossil fuels.

I’m tucking this touching tale at the end so animal lovers can choose, or not, to read it.

‘Dukey, a three-legged black Labrador retriever from Houston “traveled over the rainbow bridge” last week. As his owner, Jordan Roberts, prepared to say goodbye to her beloved pet, she asked her friend, photographer Robyn Arouty, to take on a special project โ€“ documenting Dukey’s final day on Earth before being put to sleep. Arouty, an animal lover, agreed and snapped pictures of Duke eating hamburgers, running happily at a water playground, and spending time with Roberts and family friends including Dukey’s groomer. The story has gone viral, touching hearts all over the world.

“Most people are so overcome with sadness when their pets get sick, so they don’t think about celebration, not to mention photographing it,” Arouty tells Yahoo Shine about Roberts’s decision to document her pal’s last day. Dukey, who was around 8, was suffering from a returning bout of cancer. He lost his leg the first time he battled the disease about a year ago, and a vet had determined that the tumor was too big to remove. So Roberts prepared to say goodbye to the dog she adopted in 2011.
