Now, there’s nothing necessarily wrong with asking the White House for a reaction to even the most patently absurd thing that some Republican says, but the credulity with which they did so defies logic. President Obama announced DACA two years ago. The idea that this crisis is a result of that policy is a Republican fantasy, and even if it weren’t, as I said, only an idiot would think that “sending a message” was worth overburdening the system with DREAMer deportations, and only an asshole would see ruining DREAMers’ lives as a fair trade.
And the wheel goes round and round, doesn’t it, LH? Sunday morning GOP propaganda by the bucketful with no attempt at truth or counterbalance. No wonder these shows are sinking. I think half the audience is in nursing homes where they’re just on as background noise.
JG, it was great to see Sally Kohn push back this weekend on Boehner’s lying and doublespeak. She challenged his notion that the House GOP has proposed legislation for jobs and exposed his deception. It wouldn’t occur to the feckless mainstream media to provide the facts to the American people like Sally.

The West View News ran an opposing view column below Collier’s piece by African American columnist Alvin Hall titled, “This headline offends me.
Cindy, all I can say is harness your anger and put it into getting people registered and to the polls. We have the greater numbers and we can beat them and win. Never give up. They are an ugly, but dying breed.
Yes, I will do my part. It is just disgusting that President Obama can not get the respect that he deserves. These people are ugly and have no hearts. When they do this, it is not just about President Obama, it is about African Americans as a whole. It wasn’t that long ago that we were dying just to have the right to vote; to be respected, and to be treated like “human beings.”
We are still trying to make this happen in 2014. We get educated, have good jobs, and make a better life for our children and family, and we still can’t get the respected. This is the President of the United States of America, why is it so hard to give him respect?
Cindy, they are terrified of you and the future that the changing demographics of the US will make inevitable. That’s why they’re doing everything in their power to intimate, demoralize and discourage you from fighting back. Once the inevitable demographic changes sweep the country, they will have trouble clinging on to their pathetic power. I was at a Latino event this weekend and I looked around and hoped I would live to see that day when people of color outnumbered the rest of us. But numbers alone won’t work, unless we organize and help people to understand that they are only powerful and unbeatable when they vote. The future will belong to your children and their children’s children and they will be the ones whose respect others will have to earn.

Abandoned 3 kittens update. I found them on June 23rd up at our farm.
I had to have one of them put down. He had an intestinal problem and also a stretched out colon that stopped him from pooping. The Vet said he would not make it…..He only weighed 6 ounces and his body temp was only 90 degrees when normal is 102. They did a paw print for me. I had named him BooBoo….So sad.
The other 2 are doing well. Now if I can just teach the female (Sissy) to stop trying to suckle the male’s ( Binkers ) penis ( she thinks it is a nipple) all will be well.
I decided to keep them. My adult cat if finally starting to get used to them.
Hi Linda thanks for the kitten update. So sorry about little boo boo. Little kittens are so cute they are lucky they have you taking care of them. Keep us informed of there progress.
I love cats, and my fav was many moons ago when I was working as a teller at a local S&L and a customer (a young man, about my age) brought in a kitten his family was giving away. She was a 6-week old, ADORABLE calico who proceeded to walk over my keyboard. I was in love, and stopped that evening (must have been about this time of year, I recall plenty of daylight when I picked her and her two brothers up for adoption).
She was so cute trying to make it over the bumps on the keyboard!
