    fu beebs.

Novak Djokovic is starting to run the legs off Roger Federer. The Swiss is almost digging a trench at the back of the court such with the amount of side-to-side shuttling he is being asked to do.

    (good one though)

On this week tv show, dinesh d Souza was on talking about his crappy new film against the President and Hillary Clinton. The movie was about Saul Alinski and how Clinton and Barack are socialism defined. Wtf?
Why give this guy a platform? This guy is extreme in his vile views, yet gets interviewed on ABC?
    I just don’t get it.

To folks like ABC it’s all about ratings. They would allow anything on if they thought it would give them ratings. ABC,CBS, CNN. MSNBC, NBC is just like Fox, not as bad but getting there.

    • July 6, 2014 at 11:38 am

Appalling that network MSM allow people like d’souza to spout their opinions without provide some context on what a RWNJ that person is.

Just a couple of examples from Wikipedia:

In the second chapter of What’s So Great About America, D’Souza defends colonialism, arguing that the problem with Africa is not that it was colonized, but rather that it was not colonized long enough. He supports the European colonization of India and other countries, claiming that Christian colonization was a good thing for India because it was a way for Indians to escape the caste system, superstitions and poverty.[43][44]
      Abu Ghraib
Dinesh has argued that the Abu Ghraib torture and prisoner abuse scandal was a result of “the sexual immodesty of liberal America”. He further asserted that the conditions of prisoners at Abu Ghraib “are comparable to the accommodations in midlevel Middle Eastern hotels”.[45][46]

Did ABC mention that d’souza resigned as President of Kings College because he was caught with his mistress while still married? Or that he pled guilty to a felony (illegal campaign contributions)?

The MSM will give the microphone to anyone who provides anti-PBO content. This is why John McCain and his lover were on Face the Nation this morning (and can get booked on any political show they choose). It is not about ratings (ratings have been going down as Americans tune out the propaganda) it is about the corporations using the “news” organizations they own and control to advance their political objectives. News divisions have always been loss leaders (i.e., not a source of significant profits). For decades news divisions were maintained as a public service. Today, news divisions are used to spread anti-PBO/anti-Dem propaganda in an attempt to influence political policy and elections. The money to be gained by corporations and the 1% thru a GOP return to power via tax cuts and lack of regulation, far outstrip any money generated via ad revenues or clicks. It is about the corporations using the “news” providers they control to convince the populace to vote against their own interests. To divert attention from real news that effect real lives (like the recent anti-woman Supreme Ct decision) by promoting bogus polls concerning PBO. It is not about ratings. It is not about “horserace”. It is not about laziness (finding real GOP scandals seems to be an easy task). I wish the explanation for the decay of Fourth Estate was so innocent. Instead it is a concerted effort by the MSM and the GOP to keep the American people ignorant and powerless. A concerted effort to convince the American people that their friends are their enemies and their enemies are their friends.

EricFive, Thank you, I was out most of the day and I just came across your excellent comment. I agree with you this isn’t just about ratings.

‘GooOooddd MooOoorrNning, TODobots!’ or ‘Good Day to you, Todobots!’

🙂 🙂 I see it’s the first! I’ll enjoy that for now. 😀 😀 I was unceremoniously sent off line last night before I was quite ready to go!

    • July 6, 2014 at 11:06 am

Morning VC!! I found those comments stuck in pending last night, along with some other TODers – I think it was an issue with the word ‘Douglass’ being blocked by the spam detector because it was the name of a troll from ages ago. Hopefully all fixed now.

        Ohhhh! You poor thing, having to always do early morning sweeping and clean-up in aisle ‘pending’! {{{{CC}}}}

I must add, though, that I wasn’t aware that one is knocked off line when a comment goes pending/gets blocked. Hmmmm. OTOH, in case part of the problem is an old laptop, I think you ought to put aside some of your tuition-cum-agent fees from GGail’s lessons and subsequent rise to soccer punditry to buy me a new laptop. Going by your and Nerdy’s previous recommendations, I’d prefer an Apple – Thank you.

Wishing everyone a very WONDERFUL and AWESOME DAY.
I hope that everyone kept safe and enjoyed their Fourth of July celebrations.

Unfortunately, there was a fatal boat crash at Florida’s Dinner Key Marina; 4 dead and 7 hospitalized (various wounds, head injuries etc.) in a 3 boat crash. They are still trying to figure out what happened-very sad.

Rick Perry insists that the BORDER PROBLEMS are all President Obama’s fault. It never fails; repukes do nothing but play the blame game, and offer no solutions to any problems. Sadly, this is the crap that people vote for and vote into office.

PLEASE WAKE UP AMERICA – 2014 MATTERS! Vote because your life depends on it.

Morning people!! Happy Sunday:) America should know… http://crooksandliars.com/2014/07/hey-haters-border-crisis-direct-result

Border Crisis Is Direct Result Of Bush Administration Laws

The law passed by Congress in 2004 and reauthorized in 2008 was a Republican initiative, then and now.

Under a 2002 human trafficking law signed by former President George Bush and reauthorized again in 2008 with additional protections, Mexican unaccompanied children apprehended crossing the border are automatically returned without formal deportation proceedings because the two countries share a border. But unaccompanied children from El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala cannot be sent back without going through the deportation process, since that law ensured that America wouldn’t send kids back to a dangerous situation. (Honduras, for example, has experiences increased gang violence in 40 percent of its territory, while violence against females is surging in Guatemala.) Authorities must instead process these children and determine whether they have credible proof that they cannot return to their countries of origin. Central American children are given basic care like medical screenings in processing centers before being placed with relatives or foster care until they can appear in front of immigration judges.

Teabirchers’ knickers are in a twist because of the danger a good number of these children could be granted refugee status:

Despite the increased deportation efforts, the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) previously determined through a series of interviews with 404 children that 58 percent of unaccompanied minors “raise potential international protection” claims to refugee protections under international law.

    And it’s Sunday, so God.

    My Facebook status:

Since we’re now living by the absurd standard that any funds that I am compelled by law to spend cannot be used in a way that enables others to choose not to obey my religious views, everyone in the country is going to need to kindly start eating only kosher foods (jewish and muslim tax dollars have contributed to the labs that check for food safety, inspectors that maintain food service safety standards, and the roads the food was shipped to the grocery store on), stop using electricity, driving, cooking, watching tv, riding in elevators and pretty much anything but sleeping, praying, and eating on Saturdays since that’s the jewish sabbath and that’s how the sabbath is “kept holy” per the 10 commandments. Those things all have tax dollars behind them or as part of the regulation of their safety standards you know.

Please stand by as a Rastafarian gets ready to tell you what his fiscal participation in society entitles him to force your compliance with regardless of your personal beliefs.

I think it is a Scientologist’s turn after that. Neat!

I received a letter in the mail this week from Bubba asking me to donate for the 2014 Senate races. The big sell was to help maintain PBO’s agenda. A fairly positive tone throughout with a re-iteration of what PBO and the Dems have accomplished in the last six years. I’m glad that Bill is lending his support to the 2014 midterms. When I first saw on the envelope that it was from “William J Clinton” I initially thought it was about Hilary and 2016.

So I’m pleasantly surprised there. 🙂
