I guess he wants to show that his daughter didn’t use birth control….but what about the bible part that sez no fornication?

O, THAT doesn’t matter anymore when you can tout her saintly decision not to abort. Remember Bristol?

        • July 5, 2014 at 9:28 pm

This man wants to force abstinence as the cure to unwanted teen pregnancy on the rest of the world. If it does not work in his home it won’t work in anyone’s home. Fortunate for his daughter she comes from a family with health insurance that will pay for her prenatal and care for the baby.

Like Palin, it will not matter so long as this is a TBGOPer. Remember Vitter and the many prostitutes? Remember the TN rep DesJarlis(sp) from 2010? The kissing LA Rep is vowing to run again.

Anthony Weiner was ran out exposing his Muscle. Elliot Spitzer was forced to resign. Craig wide stand caught from MPLS/STP never resigned. Ensign did only after the senate were about to admonish him.

The difference is the Media’s double standard treatment pf Rs Ds and the cuddling, cover and protection the rightie media give to their own.

    • July 5, 2014 at 7:45 pm

Let me see if I have this right.

Republican’s daughter is magically pregnant = We’ll give her love and support. But, before the baby is safely born, we shall turn this into a political point.

Any woman who wishes to use birth control = We think she’s a liberal and a slut. That’s against the Bible. Democrats have no morals.

Republican who’s running for public office finds out privately that his daughter is pregnant and very publicly announces it, although it may have remained private if he hadn’t = Well, just being a good Republican.

Daughter later realizes her dad used her in an unnecessary way to further his political career? Tune in after the election. If he wins, could have been his lucky charm. If he loses, maybe that’ll fracture their relationship for a long time.

None of what I just wrote is a dig in any way against the teenage daughter! I wish her and her baby all the best.

At this time in 1986 or so Reagan and the Media were chanting Morning In America…..UE was 7.3%.

Today 6.1% and 4M jobs unfilled due to lack of Skills. Many Americans graduating. US is exporting refined oil. Exports are high. Manufacturing is high. Auto sales and Home sales are high. 5 conservative months with 200K plus jobs…..the most in over 14 yrs.

    Etc, Etc, Etc…….

    Obama! Obama! Obama!

When Reagan was President, the MSM was all “Morning in America.” Now PBO is President with twice as many accomplishments, despite twice the level of obstruction, the MSM is all “Worst President Ever.”

But some want us to believe the media is LIBRUL…

Judicial Activism, Corrupt Media……Internet……Multiplicity of Social Media.

Reagan had the 3 Alphabet Networks.

Leslie Stahl of CBS with a couple other Journos witnessed Reagan having issues……his early set Alzheimer and Never reported it until years after his death.

Laura Bush a chain smoker and she ran off and spent days at a hotel in DC and the press buried the story.

Today, Mark Von Knoller will be creaming from the top of his Twitter Account.

    • July 5, 2014 at 7:04 pm

Ooooh. Just the thing my folks and I were discussing recently. As part of a larger digital publishing project, we are thinking of creating a database of original historical documents that are in danger of being lost. I’ve been looking at book scanners online, but with no experience to determine which could best fit the bill at reasonable cost. I need your help, uber book guru LL. We can DM if you like on Twitter. Thanks.

      • July 5, 2014 at 7:30 pm

No problem. From the videos, this is the best one I’ve found for the cost. I’ll be playing with it for a couple of days to get the hang of it. Just started and it seems like there is a bit of a learning curve. Let you know more in the next couple of days.

        July 5, 2014 at 7:15 pm

Same idea. And note that Evans didn’t deny that the poll was bogus/B.S. He tried to half-arse deny that he was delighted about reporting the poll.

      • 78 anniebella
        July 5, 2014 at 7:19 pm

I really think that poll was part of the Tea Party Republicans plan to impeach President Obama. If people get to thinking he is a bad worthless President, they will feel it’s easy to impeach him. Just a thought.

Since when is One poll getting so much cover without a collaboration? Since when are samples of a poll going back to mimic 3 decades…….1984

Orwellian or the Apple Famous Wrecking Ad?

Will he devote the same amount of Time…..Yes or No?

He could not. Will Not. That makes the “with delight” 1001% accurate.

PBO is truly amazing – the week starts out with doom and gloom from the SCOTUS – joy at health care fail from the GOP and the media (they are seriously weird in what they celebrate) – and then – jobs up, unemployment down – just in time for the 4th of July.

Thank you for the truth in tweets NW – great reads.

Note when the job numbers or any Great story that help most Americans, the media selectively short change the News.

They started covering Arthur. Then Arthur came and gone…..they pretend that the June Numbers Never came out.

Out of sight, out of mind 😉 or it is the other way around ❓ Oh well.

The Truth will out live the Media and the GOP.

The library should be on the property of the old Michael Reese Hospital. It was deliberately put out of business and closed in King Richard II’s desperate attempt to get the 2016 Olympics.

    Why there?

    1. The land’s already been gotten.
    2. Nobody has to be eminent domained off their property for it.
    3. Large parcel of land for not only a library, but plenty of parking.
    4. Transportation-wise you can easily get to it via car, ‘el’ train and bus.
    5. It is close enough to downtown so that it can be put on the Tour of Chicago routes.
    6. No more letting the University of Chicago throw Black people off their land just cause they want to do something.
    7. This is close to the lake, and on a hill so that it will have a view of the lake.
    8. It would be on the South Side.

Exclusive details: Bid for Obama Library on Lake Michigan shore
    Thu, 07/03/2014 – 7:06pm
    Lynn Sweet

ARLINGTON, Va. — Among the rival locations in Chicago for the Obama library and museum, the most majestic one hugs the Lake Michigan shore on the Southeast Side with a stunning view of the Chicago skyline.

More than pretty, the Chicago Lakeside site has vast potential to trigger massive related economic growth and create jobs in an often ignored part of the city. With a presidential library and museum as an anchor, large-scale private investment that otherwise might take a generation to occur could happen in a decade.

“It is the most incredibly beautiful site in the city of Chicago,” developer Dan McCaffery is telling me as we discuss the bid for the library and museum he submitted to the Barack Obama Foundation last month. We’re talking in the suburban Washington office of his Chicago-based firm, where I had an exclusive look at the bid.

McCaffery, in a partnership with U.S. Steel, is offering the foundation free land: a prime location near 79th and the lake, the eastern-most point of the 589-acre Chicago Lakeside project.

These vacant acres were once the home of the razed U.S. Steel South Works, which closed in April 1992. The adjacent neighborhoods are where Obama once worked as a community organizer.

McCaffery uses the circle metaphor in talking about his bid, as in Obama coming full circle, building his presidential library near where he started his career.

“If rights are not specifically spelled out in the fabric of the country’s governing document, then it’s not long before some pinch-faced self-involved jackass decides those rights don’t exist, or that they apply only to a certain segment of the population. If you say “all men are created equal” when what you really meant was “all human beings regardless of sex, creed, color, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion or lack thereof, age, ability, height, weight, dexterity, eye color, ear size, attractiveness, income bracket, military service, pacifism, reading ability, bilateral symmetry, political affiliation, taste in music, and any other bullshit category we divide people up into” then what will inevitably happen is that somebody, somewhere will argue that those rights don’t apply to people they don’t like.

And that, Folks, that right there, is just about the only self evident truth.

Ironically enough, that is also exactly what the Founding Fathers were talking about in their declaration to King George.

The Framers corrected their naiveté in fairly short order. Those today who would enshrine the Constitution as holy writ, handed down from their deity inviolate and Divine, ignore the fact that the very men who wrote the Constitution considered it a flawed and imperfect product of human endeavor right from the very beginning – and many said so, loudly. And they not only included in the very fabric of the Constitution itself a mechanism for change and update, they themselves set about making modifications and corrections almost immediately.”

If you haven’t read all of it yet, urge you to do so: http://www.stonekettle.com/2014/06/self-evident-truths.html
