This may sound weird, but I love to watch President Obama walk. He’s so confident and strong and yet so accessible.

Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes. Vote Vote Vote Vote. 2014 Vote out the do nothing Congress, who for five years haven’t done a dam thing for this country but spew their racism and hatred for this President. They tell us we can’t win the House, well I say go fine Eric Cantor and we will see.

I have never hear of this parade…Mercy…I have learned so much

Two or three years after we moved to Fairfax, we went to this event. Will never forget that experience. Always wanted to go again but we didn’t……17 years we lived there. The other thing we never did was tour the White House. 😦

    Now this is weird.

Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez quit FIFA’s strategic committee on Friday in protest at the ban football’s governing body imposed on his team’s star striker Luis Suarez for biting an Italian player.

Tabarez used the mandatory pre-match media event to make an often rambling 15-minute speech with no mention of the game on Saturday, when Uruguay faces Colombia in the Round of 16.

In his monologue, Tabarez blamed English-speaking media for creating pressure on the FIFA disciplinary panel to punish Suarez. He hinted that Uruguay, perhaps as a small country, was being singled out.

“It is not wise, at least it is not prudent to be in an organization with people who exerted pressure in order to promote this decision,” Tabarez said.

    • June 27, 2014 at 9:49 pm

Bonkers 🙄 But he hasn’t quit his job, and Uruguay haven’t quit the World Cup, despite all their threats. I hope Colombia send them home with a large kick up the ass.

“I just think it’s important that we, as players, play up to speed because what I don’t want is that we lose viewers because we play too slow,” Federer said after being told that Nadal was averaging 25 seconds between points against Lukas Rosol on Thursday and describing it as “not cool, then”.

“Particularly if the points are short,” he continued. “You cannot take 25 seconds. I mean, I know you need to focus. That you can do in 10 seconds. It just can’t be that we only see two points per minute. Of course you need to give leeway [after] tough rallies and to somebody who needs a bit more time. I’m fine with that. I watched some matches, I don’t remember who it was, but they were playing so slow I was like, OK, I really can’t watch it. It’s going too slow for me.”

    Picky, picky Federer.

BETHESDA, Md. — Tiger Woods never felt so good after playing so badly.

Taking two shots to escape a plugged lie in a bunker put him a hole. Four straight bogeys on the back nine Friday in the Quicken Loans National buried his chances of making it to the weekend. Over two rounds at Congressional, he missed 16 greens and managed to save par only three times.

    More from ESPN.com
Tiger’s mental errors and silly mistakes cost him dearly at the Quicken Loans National, proving he needs more work before heading to the Open Championship, writes ESPN.com’s Farrell Evans. Story

Woods was back — just not for very long.

Be well Tiger Woods and keep getting your strength back.

Okay, I’ve been retired 19 years now, so maybe times have changed; however, back in the olden days, the CMC used to hold a reception before the parade for the GOH and vips…

Btw, a historic 1st: the 8th & I Sergeant Major is a woman, SgtMaj Angela Maness. As a young Lance Corporal, she worked for me at Quantico, I had the pleasure of recommending her for meritorious promotion to Corporal. I honestly expect that she will become the first female Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps!

I have to confess that this is my 1st time of watching this event.

We in the US have a horrible press.

So many things go on and many of Us are truly clueless. Perhaps, it is time that WH is allowed to have it’s own 24/7 information apparatus. Congress has C-SPAN and C-SPAN is will to cover SCOTUS wall to wall whenever they are in session.

I have written C-SPAN on this and have also written the WH on this very topic as well…..every year since 2009.

Does the Army still have their parade at the Jefferson Memorial, which is also free? It used to be on Wednesday evenings when I lived in D.C. If you are in D.C. do try to make one of these parades. They are phenomenal, and will stir your heart.

As usual, when POTUS is with FLOTUS and his daughter(s) he looks just amazingly happy and relaxed. He adores those three women!

Chips, you give us so much, and I want to thank you for all that you do with your great and capable contributors. This is truly a place that represents what a great man we elected for our 44th President.

Everyone have a wonderful weekend, and know that you all are so appreciated by me. We all are so blessed to have President Barack Obama as our President, and Mrs. Michelle Obama as our graceful and brilliant First Lady. Our First Daughters are growing up right before our eyes as two beautiful young ladies. Great parents and loving family to support them. God bless them all.HZ
