Bringing over: Morning Must Read… http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2014/06/23/who_says_obama_cant_lead__123074.html

If I were a Republican, I would not be savoring Obama’s 41 percent approval rating and presuming his presidency was done. I would be worried about my party’s 29 percent approval rating, its 15 percent level of support among Latinos and Obama’s plans to take executive action on immigration reform if House Republicans don’t act by July 31. If you think Obama isn’t able to lead on immigration, after what he has done on climate and minimum wage, you haven’t been paying attention.

Congrats to amk on his furst..Chips, you stinker:)

Don’t get that “surprised” look on your face:) Let’s think of it this way, it is not good manners to tip the owner of an establishment ( YOU are the owner here….) so therefore, you can not get the benefit that all the customers (that would be all of US) receive as a matter of course! You just relish the fact that you have such an amazing place here that so many of us call home….and you let us get the fun of seeing who gets to be first (furst) . Sorry, love….amk got this one:)

These are the type of people that President Obama has served his entire life. President Obama gets his power from the streets, and the streets will always protect their own.

    *Yawn* Morning everyone.

I really need to schedule my sleep study. Waking up tired every morning can’t be normal.

      June 23, 2014 at 1:45 pm

LL, if you are supposed to have a sleep study done I really hope you don’t put it off. I had one done a couple of years ago and it probably saved my life. During the study it was discovered that I woke up more than a hundred times, and I didn’t even noticed it in the morning, I just thought that I didn’t get enough sleep. I now wear a cpap, and it saved my life. Please get yourself checked out, my friend.

      • June 23, 2014 at 1:46 pm

I’ll try to schedule it today for Thursday night.

        June 23, 2014 at 1:57 pm

How can you not know you ‘woke up’, Don? ❓
I did a study recently BECAUSE I know how many times I wake up – upwards of 2 no matter how late I go to bed. The types of questions they asked prior to the study were interesting because none of their possible scenarios matched mine. Anyhow, they called me back a couple weeks ago to book an appointment to go over the results. They mentioned briefly that I have a form of sleep apnea, but not serious enough to have an immediate follow-up review. I sure hope I won’t need to wear anything to try and sleep soundly because I can tell them right now THAT would increase my problem.

          June 23, 2014 at 2:23 pm

Vcp, I can almost guarantee you that you wake up more than 2 times a night. From what you are telling me, your doctor has already determined that you have sleep apnea, the follow- up is when he or she will tell you more or less how many times you woke during your test. My test showed that I need a slight amount of air-pressure to stop me from snoring which made it possible for me to sleep throughout the night without waking up. Even if you have to wear a mask you will get used to it, in the beginning I took it off during the night without even knowing it. But as I got used to it, it became less and less of an issue.

            June 23, 2014 at 2:46 pm

O, I know I wake up more than 2 times, Don – I easily do 4 or 5! Two is on those occasions when I stay up till forever in the village, or read until 3am or so before turning out the lights. In fact, ‘snoring’ was one of the things they asked me about that doesn’t apply to me; they also asked about snapping awake, etc. etc. Personally, I wake up ‘very naturally’, no sweat. I do so at approximate 1½ -2 hour intervals. I truly don’t see myself sleeping in a mask of any sort, but I’m very willing to listen to their analysis and to whatever suggestion is made. I’m hoping that (since it’s not any of the possibilities on their survey) they will tell me what actually wakes *me* up. We’ll see!

    • June 23, 2014 at 2:12 pm

Me too….it’s because I do not get a full eight or even six hours of sleep. I know I am snoring which is something I never did before and I wake up hearing myself snore.

      • 70 Don
        June 23, 2014 at 2:29 pm

Do you at times wake up sometimes in the middle of the night as if you’re chocking? If you do, that might be a sign that you aren’t getting enough air. You can end snoring by having a procedure done, I’m not sure if that relates to sleep apnea. The sensation of chocking is related to sleep apnea.

The US soldier held captive for five years by Taliban-linked militants has moved to outpatient care on a Texas military base.

Sgt Bowe Bergdahl will no longer be in hospital all day, but specifics of his location will not be made public.

“His reintegration process continues with exposure to more people and a gradual increase of social interactions,” an Army spokesman said.

He has not spoken about his ordeal publicly since his release on 31 May.

Allegedly among the foreign recruits in the militant group known as ISIS is an 18-year-old British schoolboy who goes by the nickname “Osama Bin Bieber.”

Hadi’s parents had reported their son’s growing extremism to the police earlier, and filed a missing persons report soon after his disappearance. “We can’t talk about it – I don’t know anything about it. The police know better than me,” his father, Mahir Hadi, told The Sun on Sunday.
