The “bear is loose” – who came up with that term? Is it from sports or did PBO make it up?

    Anyone know?

That’s Mika. I am a little shocked at her. I love this summit.

I was speechless when I heard her upon signing in, COS. She sounds nothing like the robot who I’ve seen previously. It makes it hard to be ’empowered’ by her comments though, having actually seen her in her job.

Her father once was livid on that show in either 2008 or 2009. He called JoScar out on live TV. He basically said that JoScar knew nothing and was ill informed and dismissed him publicly. I am sure that his daughter knows that allowing herself to be publicly walked all over is disheartening to him.

Mika is allowing $$$$$$ morally decimate her self worth. She’s paid for her Meekness.

I once heard Mika ask: Whose name is on the show? Then followed by: There’s a reason the show is called Mourning Joke. This was in 2009 or 2010. After that, I lost every ounce of pity I once had for her.

Pleeease answer! Is that Mika sounding so confident? Of course, if it is, it’s hard for me to accept what she is saying knowing that she generally sits like a lump beside Joe.

I have only watched her a few times and I was so disgusted how Joe treated her, so I stop watching that show. She is doing great on this panel, absent Joe S.

‘ She is doing great on this panel, absent Joe S.’

What does it say about her that she only comes ‘into her own’ “absent Joe S”?

“You said something to the effect of, who is worse really, them [ISIS] or in essence, the Americans who invaded or would invade?” Smith said. “You equated our forces to terrorists.”

“Yeah, that’s not actually what happened,” Greenwald replied. What he suggested on the show was that “maybe outside forces that go in and start bombing that country are actually terrorists, more so than the people in the country.” Greenwald defended himself by saying he was referring to the political and military leaders who make the decisions, not the troops themselves.

“The point I was making there’s this phrase, terrorism, that has very little definition,” Greenwald told Smith. “It doesn’t mean really much of anything. It’s a fear-mongering word the government invokes every time it wants to justify policy, from torturing people to putting people in Guantanamo without charges.” He pointed to the Bush administration’s “shock and awe” invasion of Iraq, the purpose of which was “to do so much violence that we would terrorize the civilian population into submission, into surrendering.”

      June 23, 2014 at 6:09 pm

Would this be the very same invasion certain a**holes support a previous President’s right to engage in? As well as now having defined himself as a ‘terrorist’ = fear-mongering and spreading lies in order to create a submissive population? I must say, however, I have never heard this mofo speak, nor have I read anything of his diatribe, so perhaps I speak too harshly.

There is no speaking “too harshly” when discussing gg – gm from my world MightyP – it is freezing with a cold wind – if I didn’t have to take the older generation (I do still have a few I can classify as older relatives) – I would spend the day in bed.

A predominantly black neighborhood in Houston has gotten a temporary reprieve from having a group of armed gun enthusiasts pay the area a visit.

The Houston chapter of Open Carry Texas called off a “walk” that was planned for this past Sunday in the city’s Fifth Ward because an organizer was scheduled to attend a separate demonstration in another community. It would have doubled as a canned food drive.

Previously, organizers encouraged supporters on Facebook to “make this a big event.”

I am glad West Virginia and Kentucky Democratic politicians are welcoming Elizabeth Warren to campaign with them in their States! At the same time, I can’t help but note that these same Democratic politicians try to distance themselves from President Obama. As far as I am concerned, It’s crystal clear that the hostility towards president Obama, by most white people in West Virginia and Kentucky, including those who are supposedly Democrats. Clearly the Opposition has othing to do with his policies or his ideology! If West Virginians, and Kentuckians have no problem hosting Elizabeth Warren, who shares many similar policy positions with President Obama, but are hostile towards President Obama, their hostility must all about his race/color.

20Committee deleted his Twitter account. In a blog post he said that it was because he and his family were being harassed by Snowdenwald acolytes. But the Naval War College, where he’s a professor, has put him on leave because of a penis picture allegedly taken by him has been circulating around Twitter.

        yes, LL has the story I was referring to – the comment (with a link to the ABC story) was left at the bottom of the prior post (after your created this one);

I will wait to see how this develops – don’t know what to think

    • June 23, 2014 at 6:18 pm

Firstly, it’s not at all clear that he posted the tweet. IMO, it would be way out-of-line with everything I’ve seen him write or do, online.

I was at ~ 20% agreement with what John wrote, but agree fully with Jeff. BTW, Jeff has quite a series of tweets targeting TRAITORS Snowden and Greenwald.

GILBERT, Ariz. – As the owners of 20 dogs wait for answers as to why their pets died at a Gilbert boarding service, Fox 10 News has learned that the son and daughter-in-law of US Senator Jeff Flake were tasked with caring for the dogs while the boarding house’s owners were out of town.

It was originally believed there were 17 dogs, but Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office says 20 dogs died at the facility.

MCSO said it appears one of the dogs chewed through a wire that powered the air-conditioning in the section of the home where the dogs were kept. The owners told deputies the power went out sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning. Owners of the deceased dogs claim they were not notified until Saturday morning.

“I demanded. I got in the owners face,” said Valerie Collins who left her two dogs in the care of the Green Acre boarding house near Gilbert. “We went out of the front and he carried my Daisy who was lifeless. I prayed that they were still alive and [the facility’s owner] just threw her at my feet like a piece of meat.”

Horrific. How come this not making National News? Possibly the same son that was tweeting bigoted and racist tweets.

“On Saturday, an MCSO deputy told dog owners, “that something stupid happened I totally agree with you. That it is a crime? I do not agree with you.”

Sheriff Joe Arpaio will hold a press conference at 3:30 p.m. to give an update on the investigation.”

Looking at the LE involved – no-one will be held accountable

I saw this young lady on C-SPAN who said she would be participating at the submit. She told her story of working full time a Wal-Mart and that although she told her manager she was four months pregnant she should not be lifting 50lbs. He pretty much told her she had to if she wanted to work there. The next day she lost her baby. I hear so many woman who work almost up to the due date to keep their insurance, have enough vacation to take maternity leave, etc. It’s a shame women have to work their whole pregnancy with very little accommodation from employers. I heard on NPR all the states that provide much more maternal and paternal family leave than the America.

T his is the first time I can remember that the importance of good work policies for working families has been a matter of concern. This is a conversation the country NEEDS to have, and I’m so glad the Obamas are starting it. Hopefully this will begin the process of making changes nationally.
I know we are awful when it comes to family friendly policies. I also know there will be Republican opposition, but people need to be made aware that there is a different and better way to live. Obviously, Republicans are not the party of Family Values. What this summit is about are the true family values.
To rank with Oman and Papua New Guinea on family leave is humiliating!!!

frankly, I think smart Americans don’t care what these polls say. According to the polls Eric Cantor was a shoe in and Romney was in the lead in 2012.
