Chipsticks tweet summed up the day for me: “doing us proud again.”

It’s such an awe inspiring feeling to see President Obama on the world stage and never for one minute have a worry that America will be embarrassed. He’s the consummate diplomat and shows the best face of America every time.

Today just reinforced that feeling again.

Welcome home, Mr. President and thank you!

Yes it did NW, thanks for the post.
Sorry my retweets didn’t post right.

It’s really hard to convey in a way. I’ve never felt such overwhelming pride and admiration. As you say, he is the very best face of America.

Well said Nerdy Wonka! And thank you and chips for your incredible coverage of the President’s trip. TOD archives will be indispensable to future historians. It’s really sad that most Americans are kept in the dark by the so called MSM about this incredible President.

Just watching the President’s arrival again – on the beach in France earlier today, to the cheers and applause – and it’s amazing. So proud to be an American, thanks to him!

Watching “Football’s On” on BT Sport. Joke about the England team: “I imagine Frank Lampard’s the only one with a Kindle”. You’re welcome, football fans.

    See everyone tomorrow.

Now that D-Day is over, and I feel I can joke, did anybody else think Ouistreham is French code for Yes We Can?

And that’s all she wrote. Goodnight, TOD folks. Thanks (Chips, NW, LL) for the incredible coverage of the President’s trip abroad. Loved it. Glad he’s safely home.
