I voted! Haven’t heard anything yet. The polls just closed. Are you interested in a particular race here 99ts?

I just like to see democrats vote MS – and to see republicans get defeated. I was just looking for the overall results.

I still find it amazing that the US votes on a Tuesday when most folks are at work. It is like they don’t want people to vote – so pleased to hear from those who vote.

I know, it was so slow today at the polling place. Some people who normally would vote, just can’t because of work and the fact that they have long commutes. Some of my friends are on permanent mail-in ballot lists because of this, but many just don’t get to the polls. Weekend voting, or making voting day a mandatory holiday would help solve that.

You guys are required to vote, if I remember correctly. I think that’s a good idea. Someone could always write in “no choice” if they wanted to refrain from voting for some reason.

What the #GOP and #LIMPDems seem to have totally missed is truly the essence of the situation …

… and, the indisputable FACT that President Obama has been in active discussions about precisely the trade of 5 Taliban for Sgt Bergdahl –

SINCE 2011!! – is going to be the bulldozer he uses to pave them ….

    #TrustBarack …. or GET PAVED ….

My horse did this to me when I was 12. Had a concussion for I don’t know how long. Got myself to the house and my Mom and brother having milk and cookies. I told them I fell off Candie and would my bro please get her and put her in the barn? He went to barn and I had put Candie away like she should have been; must have been in a daze the whole time.
      Concussions, so last week!

Barack Obama’s visit to Poland was not the typical. What a surprise it must have been exercising at the gym, when they saw that it enters the U.S. president himself!

Gym Holmes Place Premium Hilton Marriott Hotel. Dumbbell exercises biceps and pecs. One would like to say a day, like every day. But suddenly the room comes unexpected guest: Barack Obama and begins to practice with other fans of sporty silhouette. One of the witnesses has posted on Facebook photos of practicing U.S. president.

  17. June 3, 2014 at 11:01 pm

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen (and amk).

Decided to take an Internet break yesterday and today. Have been extra cranky over the Bergdahl mess. I know, it’s now coming out that—surprise!—the WH has been in communication about the prisoner swap with Congress since 2011. Once again the GOP is Wile E. Coyote. But the vituperation just pissed me off to no end. AND the hypocrisy. I’m sure if Bob Bergdahl was clean shaven and had a buzz cut and swore to go to Afghanistan and kill the men who held his son we wouldn’t be hearing half the crap we have. Idiocy is reigning in the US, and I’ve had just about enough. Which is a long winded way of saying that: essay coming up tomorrow.

You need to catch Chris Hayes tonight on this whole thing…good piece. Might add to your essay:)

I did too while I deleted over 8000 emailers that piled up. Amk thought thought I was computer too much. No I ignored emails, lurked on TOD. 😊 😄

I missed Hayes/Rachel earlier so watching now. Chris Hayes has actually slowed down his speech – small miracles – well for a short while – he’s now picked up the speed.

He is about to show a dingbat saying PBO should have chosen someone else to bring home – why did he choose this guy!!!

The ONLY POW in Afghanistan – but PBO should have brought home someone else???

They are lacking brains like no generation before them.

        • June 3, 2014 at 11:21 pm

Don’t know where they dig up some of these guys but they have to give GOP a chance to talk as if they don’t have enough press already.

These are the same fools who spend days howling about how no American should be targeted for elimination – even if he’s actively plotting attacks against the US. Now they’ve got someone who actually put his life on the line, and paid 5 years for it – and saying he’s not worthy to come home alive. They really do make you sick – left and right howlers alike.

AMK…..pay attention to CA-17 primary tonight. Might get a chance to have first Indian in congress… http://vote.sos.ca.gov/returns/us-rep/district/17/ ….going to be interesting to see who makes runoff for Waxman’s 40 yr. held seat…..only 16 people vying 🙂

I wish Ray Mabus would have left the Sec. of Navy gig in the Obama Admin to run in the MS-Senate….This T-nut is beating Cochran & might even avoid a runoff….he would have won easily!

One thing about the T-nuts – they show up to vote! After what happened re Cochran’s wife it is unbelievable that folks would vote for this nutcase – actually, horrifying.

          June 3, 2014 at 11:28 pm

What an insult to my Scottish roots – and the reality – bag pipes should never be played inside a building – they are made for a wide open space.

          • June 3, 2014 at 11:31 pm

I love you 99ts, intensely, but bagpipes weren’t made for a wide open space, they were made for a sound-proof nuclear bunker.

LOL – that too – but in the Edinburgh castle grounds – they are magnificent

              • June 3, 2014 at 11:41 pm

Oooooooookay, I’ll take your word for it (actually, no I won’t, check yer ears Missus). I was in Edinburgh a few years ago for a worky thing, was free one evening so set off to visit he castle. Saw a gazillion signposts telling me where to go, but never actually found the path, so it remained out of reach, looming above me. Finally decided, hump that, and went to the pub.

I VOTED! The polls just closed in California so I am awaiting the results. The Rethug millionaire will not win. We do not need another “I’ll give you tax cuts (for me and my buddy millionaires) and go back to deficits. As long as I am living in CA I will work against having another Rethug Governor.

P.S Chipsticks I mailed my package of President Obama memorabilia – newspapers, magazines, Obama/Biden bumper stickers and pins to cousin Henry in Ireland. I hope he get the package. It weighed over 12 lbs. I look forward to visiting The Barack Obama Plaza. I hope cousin Henry sends you pictures of opening day last Friday.

Slow day out in my voting places. However, I hope we will see people take all voting times serious. Did what I had to do. One vote can make a difference both ways.

While out a few errands. Very hot in my area, but very bright and sunny.

Goodness going out for our president’s space to continue to do his job with a gracious spirit and a brilliant mind. Lots of love for National Security Advisor, Dr. Susan Rice and Sec. John Kerry. We will make this journey a beautiful one.
