    Missing wife

A husband went to the police station to file a “missing person” report for his

    missing wife:

Husband: I lost my wife, she went shopping & hasn’t come back yet.

Inspector: What is her height ?

    Husband: I never checked.

    Inspector: Slim or healthy ?

Husband: Not slim , she can be healthy.

    Inspector: Color of eyes ?

    Husband: Never noticed.

    Inspector: Color of hair ?

    Husband: Changes according to season.

    Inspector: What was she wearing?

Husband: Not sure . It may have been a dress or maybe a suit.

    Inspector: Was she driving?

    Husband: Yes.

Inspector: Can you tell me the type & color of the car ?

Husband: A black Audi A8 with supercharged 3.0 liter V6 engine generating
333 horse power teamed with an eight-speed tiptronic automatic

transmission with manual mode. It has full LED headlights, which

use light emitting diodes for all light functions. It has a very thin

scratch on the front left door.….and then the husband started crying…

Inspector: Don’t worry sir,… . .We will find your car.
    ( p.s. the eye is great.) 🙂

        Happy Friday Paulita!
How are you doing? How are you and your family doing since the lost of your family members? I pray that you are finding comfort and peace as the days and months go by.

        Keeping you in prayer.

      Happy Beautiful Friday yardarm756!

As always, thank you for giving a good laugh. When you have a moment, please post the one about the hospital stay {drinking what the nurse thought was urine and passed out). I want to give it to a few friends over dinner. I was reading it and laughed out so loudly; could not contain myself. I was reading with anticipation of what the end was going to be and was shocked.

So glad to hear the news that your surgery was successful and that you are in recovery mode and doing well. Will keep you on the prayer list until you report full recovery and doing the happy dance : )

      Have a wonderfully splendid evening,

vox is a true disservice to “journalism.”

Of course, I’m not a fan of Ezra Klein, and am skeptical of his loooovve of charts, because it is so easy to distort information to support whatever it is you’re advocating.

For instance, on today’s “Bike to Work” day:

The article doesn’t mention what locations have laws requiring helmets when riding a bicycle. In California, only those under 18 are required to wear helmets. Many service employees ride their bicycles to work, and if they’re getting paid minimum wage, a helmet might take a big chunk of their paycheck.

I quickly skimmed the article, but it looked like it was comparing bicycle deaths to pedestrian deaths, which is like comparing apples to oranges. Pedestrians aren’t in the stream of traffic until they cross the street, and its their responsibility to assess dangers present when doing so.

Bicycles almost always share the road with motor vehicles and are subject to the hazards from moving vehicles, but from parked cars opening their doors in front of a bicyclist, and any obstacles in the roadway itself (which has many more than concrete sidewalks).

I rode my bicycle all the time when I was at UCLA. On one memorable occasion, my front tire got stuck in a grate over the rain runoff hole, causing the bike to stop immediately and hurling me over the handlebars. I did a complete somersault and landed on my butt in front of a bus stop full of people. My bike was happily standing upright, and I was fine (even my glasses stayed on my face).

This was before helmets were readily available, and I was well aware that I could have been thrown into traffic and run over by car(s) or landed on my head in front of the bike.

I was OK because I’m a small, compact person and because I was going very fast, downhill.

Point of this comment is that this vox article takes into consideration *statistics,* not reality.

    > One time I got sick and landed in hospital.
    > There was this one nurse that just drove me crazy.
    > Every time she came in, she woulds talk
    > To me like I was a little child.
    > She would say in a patronizing tone of voice,
    > “And how are we doing this morning?”
    > Or
    > “Are we ready for a bath?” or
    > “Are we hungry?”
    > I had had enough of this particular nurse.
    > One day at breakfast, I took the apple juice
    > Off the tray and put it in my bedside stand.
    > Later I was given a urine sample bottle to fill for testing.
    > So you know where the juice went!
    > The nurse came in a while later, picked up the
    > Urine sample bottle, looked at it and said,
    > “My, my, it seems we are a little cloudy today.”
    > At this, I snatched the bottle out of her hand,
    > Popped off the top, and gulped it down, saying,
    > “Well, I’ll run it through again.
    > Maybe I can filter it better this time!”
    > The nurse fainted… I just smiled.

To be honest, there are some days when I wake up with a sense of dread, imagining out lives without the Obamas in the WH. Maybe it’s due to all this premature talk about 2016 from people with questionable intentions. After all, we still have nearly 2 1/2 years to go. But I confess I absolutely cannot stand the thought of seeing our beloved First Family leave their rightful place. I honestly don’t know how I will be able to deal.

Underreported in the MSM’s reporting of PBO’s “disappointing” Asia trip:

    Response to @Blakehounshell’s tweet:

    From the article:
“The Philippines, aiming to boost its ability to defend offshore areas, wants to ensure U.S. warships are closer to the disputed South China Sea by offering the United States an underdeveloped naval base on a western island, its military chief has said.

China has stepped up its activities to assert its extensive claim over the energy-rich South China Sea.

Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Taiwan also have claims over the sea, or parts of it, through which about $5 trillion of ship-borne goods pass every year.”

You’d think $5 trillion would be a BFD for the MSM. But no… Wonder what’s different about *this* President? (rhetorical, snarky question)

FLOTUS is so right, still today there are some who talk about how races shouldn’t mix, when thanks to the white slave masters races mixed along time ago. And FLOTUS mention about how some were upset about that cheerios commercial.

I attempted to post this yesterday, on Throwback Thursday, but I don’t think I was successful.

Check this out, from March 27, 2008:

“Senator Barack Obama’s videotaped response to President Bush’s final State of the Union address— almost five minutes of Mr. Obama’s talking directly to the camera — elicited little attention from newspaper and television reporters in January.

But on the medium it was made for, the Internet, the video caught fire. Quickly after it was posted on YouTube, it appeared on the video-sharing site’s most popular list and Google’s most blogged list. It has been viewed more than 1.3 million times, been linked by more than 500 blogs and distributed widely on social networking sites like Facebook.”

I found this article in a link within the tweeted tweeted article (second generation link?).

The only thing MSM learned from the 2008 campaign was how exciting a true horserace is. Since then they have been shoving speculation down our throats and presenting their gossip as “news.” Meanwhile, the Obama Administration has forged forward and continue to leverage the same forces within the Internet that they did before the rise of social media (Twitter and Facebook).

MSM/Koch will end up with egg on their faces after the November elections. Hopefully they will be ignored (or re-assigned???) next year. Editors must realize that they can’t justify full time horserace reporters until 2016.

Here’s a tweet that indicates where we are today:

On her birthday, the NY Times chooses to highlight the “tensions” between Wendy Davis supporters and Jeremy Bird’s Battleground Texas.

The MSM don’t understand that committed grassroots organizers can overcome obstacles, and they demonstrate they don’t understand synergy, only gossip.
