Good morning. I’m excited about our president going to the Tappan Zee bridge today. I was born and raised in the town on the eastern side of the bridge–Tarrytown. The other side is Nyack. It’s a very crowded bridge and it always gives me vertigo. Can’t believe it’s already 60 years old and decrepit . Hate to admit that I remember when you needed a ferry to cross the Hudson. Guess that makes me decrepit, too. Oh well, you’re as young as you feel. Have a great day.

Indeed Jackie. I have some familiarity with that Tarrytown-Nyack area and It’s a very scenic driving route. But as you said, that bridge desperately needs fixing.

This is one of the best pics of the Obama Presidency. The cuteness of this is just overwhelming.

The only other series of pics that could match it are the time that Malia and Sasha were waiting for the President with Bo. They’re both in pink, and then when he comes, they run and hug him.

you know the pics…hint hint Chips…LOL

Well. This morning’s photos brought tears to my eyes. Never saw these photos, and they are so precious and so clear. Zipped by just to share a link, and here I am all weepy. In the good way. Thank you, Ms. Chips, thank you TOD. Good morning to all. Busy week, can’t even open many posts, and that makes me realize how much they mean to me and improve and enhance and brighten my day. I have an existential question: why when I buy something online the money comes out of my account instantly; and when I return something – even after the return has been ‘processed’, it takes weeks to come back to my account?

    Just asking…..

You’re right. It isn’t a joking matter, is it? It is the banks using my money. And it’s wrong.

In India, the process takes 1 to 7 days depending on the vendor. Consumer protection laws are quite strong here.

That would require a government that gives a damn. The U.S. is going straight to libertarian hell and apparently Democrats don’t see a reason to vote. 23% enthusiasm gap for Dem’s. Because – I don’t know – DRONES or POT or something equally stupid. It’s awful.

Oooh, I’d love to know the answer to that, 57.

Hello. I have been asking about this as well, I have waited for refunds for up to 8 weeks. The companies always brush me off saying, it’s more complicated to address a return. I say bullshit, they just keep it to gain a bit of interest overall. IMHO.

        May 14, 2014 at 1:29 pm

Oh, not only, but I took a refund check to a well fargo branch, right across the eff’ing street from the company, and because I do not have an account with them, they FINGERPRINTED me to cash a bloody check for $49. This is why I no longer bank with these mega-Eff’ers, but use a small local community bank. The services are excellent and they do not charge fees for anything except bank checks.

My particular annoyance isn’t even with the vendor. I get an email that the return has been processed: that means they have told their bank to credit the amount back to my account. Literally, if I order something or pay a bill it is seconds that they money is deducted from my account. (I check a lot – I’ve had my accts compromised in the past). But to get my money back? Weeks. It’s a scam.

    Good morning, Ms. Chips!
    Hello TOD family!
    Congratz COS for being #1!
I was hanging out at Steviie Wonder’s Birthday Party until this morning. Woke up late for my morning walk…..
Ms. Chips, those pics just did something human to me. My heart literally skipped a beat. Oh, my!
And knowing the President was arriving from Arizona(that evil witch’s cave….you know, that pointing finger in the face witch) made the tears flow even more. Him needing to see a welcome smile and her S-M-II-L-E beaming with a child’s innocent love saying, DAADY’S HOME!
Nothing else matters between the two of them…..they are and will be all right. Oh, my!

Okay. I am going to take a walk.
Central Park is calling my soul before I drown in my own tears(still hear Stevie’s lyrics in my head)
