Early Bird Chat

On This Day: President Obama puts his arm around First Lady Michelle Obama after joking with her during a Cinco de Mayo reception in the East Room of the White House on May 5, 2011. Obama said “You do not want to be between Michelle and a tamale.”

The Obamas are definitely good for everyone’s health! Without them saying a word, I looked at that picture and a smile broke out on my face. Thanks for a great start to the blogging day, Ms Chips Chica. Hope you are smiling too.

‘Lo Roberta. I’ve given up on computer cleaning myself. I figure when it dies from all the weight of the mess, I’ll go hunt out a new one. By then they may just have a self-cleaning computers.

      Enjoy your Monday!

Okay, Dudette. You’ve done it. All the sleep and fatigue left me when I clicked on Peggy Lee. You have an unfailing talent to choose just the right thing at the right time. Have a good one.

Good Morning everyone on this sunny morning. It has been so good to have our son home again and our grandbaby’s visit was both 100 percent exhausting and 100 percent perfect. What a joy to see the growth of a little brain–the grasp of language, the puzzle to figure things out. A year ago she was a baby and now she is a little girl with a vibrant personality. I wish everyone a day of joy and sunshine. Already the bleak cold weather is seeming a thing of memory.

Caught a couple seconds of David Ignatius crying that “Obama won’t start any wars!——boo hoo hoo, sobby sob sob”. That was the Bad Thing About Obama today on Morning Joke——–No Wars! So Sad! (ridiculouser and ridiculousest——the media—–they may pop from utter desperation)

I, too, caught couple minutes of that. TV was on MSNBC from yesterday because I was watching SK’s interview with Nancy Pelosi. I listened for a minute or maybe more, then went to our local morning show.

Remember there was a slide that didn’t come up during PBO’s WHCD speech? I thought it not coming up on his cue was part of the bit, but apparently there was supposed to be a slide. He covered that very nicely! 😀

Oh that’s great, Dudette. Sorry it didn’t show. The person in charge is probably still banging his or her head against the nearest wall.
Actually, I thought it WAS deliberate to show he didn’t have any artistic talent to explore–a kind of joke inside a joke since he’s got more talent in one pinkie than George Bush could ever dream of having.

Once again, PBO shows he has more than enough talent to succeed in all areas! This is frame-able art! (glad the ?? about the slide is settled. He did handle it superbly!!

Good Cinco de Mayo Monday morning to everyone:) Bob Cesca has a good piece today…as we all go into a continued silly season about Bengazi…AGAIN!….keep this in mind, and remind your Bengazi harping friends. Meanwhile, less than 2 weeks of school left for me!!

It was only a matter of time. Keep them talking long enough and the truth nugget just pops out….

The Republican in question — GOP Rep. Bob Goodlatte — didn’t put it that way, of course. But in an interview with Univision Jorge Ramos that aired yesterday, he inescapably revealed that to be the case, and in the process, he made real news.
Ramos repeatedly pressed Goodlatte to explain why it is that House Republicans refuse to act on immigration reform. Goodlatte repeatedly claimed the problem is that Republicans can’t trust Obama to enforce the law, as evidenced by the fact that deportations from the interior have dropped. Goodlatte explicitly said the problem is that only people convicted of serious crimes are getting deported from the interior.
Ramos then pressed Goodlatte on whether this means Republicans want to see more deportations from the interior. Goodlatte — who as chair of the House Judiciary Committee is a key player on immigration — refused to answer directly:

    Rest at the linky….

Good Morning all. Was very busy this past weekend. Walked 10 miles throughout the day for Relay for Life, raised about 125 dollars as many ppl didn’t seem to respond to my efforts to raise money in honor of my husband’s brother who died July 23, 2012 of colon cancer. But every bit helps, right? My hubby walked around 7 miles with me. It was a long, exhausting day, but worth it. I’m so glad Chips had the WHCD video up so fast as I had to miss it. PBO indeed killed it.

I wish everyone a wonderful day.

I’m sorry about the loss of your husband’s brother. I’m sorry you didn’t raise more money, but you should be very proud that your husband walked 7 miles and you walked 10 in honoring your brother in-law and all those that died of colon cancer. I’m sure Relay for Life was grateful for your efforts.

Media News I doubt anyone cares about: John Heilmann and Mark Halperin of “Game Change” fame and frequent analysts on MSNBC have joined with Bloomberg News to form a new website.
Just what is not needed. After Ezra off of Washpo and onto Vox on the web, Nate off NYTimes and on 538 on the web, Glen G on the web, NY Times new “data driven” site The Upshot added to HuffPoop, daily beast and on and on.

Who do they think will be reading this endless GOP/MSM drivel ?

Plus Mark Haperin and John Heilmann will confine their MSNBC appearances to Morning Joke only. It is good news that viewers will be spared the dreadful Halperin the rest of the day.
The few people watching MJ probably don’t mind him as much as we do.

The judges were a bit mean, I thought, because they worked the little lad too much for his age, but he was incredible. This is the longest “————- got Talent” performance that I’ve ever watched. CHECK IT OUT!

Loved this post from a blog I follow called “The Weekly Sift”. Can’t remember where I found it but probably here at The Source of Truth Goodness and Light, aka TOD. Takes all my angst frustration over the speedy quiet shift from outrage and action against white supremacy/racist actions by DSterling to gossipy sensational focus on the young woman who shared his true nature with the world and right on to his ‘right’ to be who he is in the world with No Consequences Whatsoever. We do scurry away from the teachable moments, especially when the topic is white supremacy and racism. http://weeklysift.com/2014/05/05/no-donald-sterling-isnt-the-victim/
