Getting the MacBook all set up to watch, hoping to have enough bandwidth to really see the show! Not sure I’m clever enough to actively blog with y’all and watch at the same time… Maybe if I use iPad for one, hey, that could work! Ah, modern technology! Back in a bit….

On the day of 8 million ACA enrollments Chelsea Clinton announced her pregnancy.
Tonight the spotlight shines on PBO.

No accident thelovesick, bitter woman scorned published her piece today.

The hideous Dowd hag wrote that “The Clintons suck all the oxygen out of the room.”
The Clintons and their enablers, that Is their plan.

We need an Adam Silver to ban the whole poisonous bunch of them for life.
    Seems unlikely to you?
Well, the NBA put up with Sterling for a long time and then they didn’t.

Speaking of “getting dressed” for the occasion, have I missed seeing cookemom? She used to do some great backstage commentary at these events!

Good question on cookemom. Haven’t seen anything of jovie lately either. jacqueline. Anyone know if he’s alright?

So, did you go get a mani-pedi and new hairdo too, or were you just resting to you’d be in top form? Whatever the reason, we’re glad you’ve arrived.

Now, go make sure CC is up. Oops! On 2nd thoughts, let her sleep for another hour.

Just want to rant and hope not to offend.

Today is Derby Day. Don’t care about my birthday or mothers day. Derby Day

Rosie Napravnik is riding. She rode the winner in yesterdays Kentucky Oaks….SECOND YEAR IN A ROW!

Today she was interviewed by a man and his question was not about her ability, love of the sport, dedication to the strenuous mental and physical work ethic……NOOOO. He wanted to know when she and her husband were gonna have babies.

Somebody got a bucket of cold water?!?

A small irritation in the scheme of things, but when a burr gets under the saddle pad….you know the rest.

    Gosh, I love this place!

It was a great race when Seattle Slew won. There were many people here happy that year.

Did Rosie tell the man their babymaking timing was none of his business?

        May 3, 2014 at 8:03 pm

She was sitting next to her husband at the time and you should have seen the look on her face, vc. She’s a REAL redhead, but knows the jerk with the question, wouldn’t even have the nerve to get in the stall with a real firebreathing thoroughbred. The word ‘disdain’ crosses my mind and her face.

          May 3, 2014 at 8:05 pm

IMO his question was absolutely rude. Pity her hubby was too polite to tell him to bug off.

Dotster – Turns out I’m in the same boat as you – not sure my 3-y/o great grandson will be wanting to watch the red carpet with me, but THE MINUTE his mommy comes back, it’s ON! (I’d rather be with him, so it’s all good.)

  21. 67 Lynn
    May 3, 2014 at 6:24 pm

California Chrome is the favorite to win the Derby. He’s out of an 8thousand dollar mare by a 2500 dollar stud fee stallion and owned by a couple of good old boys. Turns out they were offered 50 million for a 51 percent share in the horse and they turned it down.

The trainer is the stable/exercise boy who shared a boxcar with the immortal Swaps on his way to a successful win in ’55.

Gosh, I love a feel good story!

I just heard that on CSPAN, also, prettyfoot.
The ugly attention getting Dowd piece published today rather than last week or next week—-Clinton timing all over it.
8 million ACA signups, Chelsea pregnant.
Spotlight on PBO, Dowd hit piece.

      • 75 jziglar
        May 3, 2014 at 6:46 pm

I’m not a big Clinton fan but I don’t think all of this is some big Clinton conspiracy. And Dowd is not a big fan of the Clinton’s. If you read her pieces during the 2008 election she was hating on Obama and Clinton. The media is in the tank for the GOP so why would anyone be surprised that they are trying to undermine a democratic WH.

        • 76 jacquelineoboomer
          May 3, 2014 at 6:54 pm

If I’m not mistaken, Dowdy was always nasty toward Bush (which I thoroughly enjoyed). Then she fell off the “liberal” wagon, when President Obama entered the room. I’m thinking she just “hates” everybody, including herself.

          • 77 jziglar
            May 3, 2014 at 6:58 pm

Yeah ! I don’t know why some people call her a liberal commentator. She is nothing more than a crazy beltway hack.

    • May 3, 2014 at 6:49 pm

Yeah, I remember seeing something about that last year.

I’m not watching, can’t bear to see the jackals enjoying themselves, convinced that they do something worthwhile.

Chips, I think PBO’s remarks are scheduled to be at 10:15, and not 8PM (see your post above), which is when he and FLOTUS make their entrance. Dinner is served is 8:30PM.

This film is inspired by the true story of Dido Elizabeth Belle, the illegitimate mixed race daughter of Admiral Sir John Lindsay. Raised by her aristocratic great-uncle Lord Mansfield and his wife, Belle’s lineage affords her certain privileges, yet her status prevents her from the traditions of noble social standing. While her cousin Elizabeth chases suitors for marriage, Belle is left on the sidelines wondering if she will ever find love. After meeting an idealistic young vicar’s son bent on changing society, he and Belle help shape Lord Mansfield’s role as Lord Chief Justice to end slavery in England.

Running in late – nothing is working in my world today
It is freezing – first time this year turned the air con to heat
My computer sounds like a concord jet taking off – could not use it
My laptop had convultions when I tried to sign into word press – telling me all hell would happen if I dared connect using this non validated machine
So I thought to use Mr 99s machine (he is away) & took 10 minutes to find the on switch on the monitor (Who turns off the monitor via the on/off switch?). It also took 10 minutes to boot. His desk top looks like Ms Chip’s kitchen on a bad day

And then the first thing I saw when I opened C-span was John McCain – I am doomed

I hope the President has words to say about bridges and traffic – It will improve my day a gazillion %
