Good to see you, CarolMae. Does your increased posting mean your eye is better? Have you gotten over some of the allergic reactions to your medications?

      • May 3, 2014 at 11:49 pm

Hi Lynn, yes thank you the allergic reactions have stopped. Thank goodness. I still need to be sedentary until I see eye surgeon May 9. I’m soooo out of shape now I’ll have to work on that. But hey, now I can use the Rec Center for free ’cause of my age today! 😉

Daaaaaaaaaamn! President Obama took no prisoners tonight. He went there and he killed it!

    May 3, 2014 at 11:21 pm

I thought they both did CRAZY good. Both did not hold back any punches. POTUS’s delivery was much much better but McHale had some seriously good stuff. The Christy weight joke was over the top imo but the bit he did about investigating his own joke was some seriously clever writing – omg, that totally busted Christie’s lies. FOX and right wingers have to be so pissed their bs was called out by both POTUS and McHale.

      May 3, 2014 at 11:31 pm

I am glad to see we agree. The Mchale bit about Christie exonerating himself was a classic.
And POTUS did what I was hoping for. He took the RW losers Down.

        Bringing this comment over.

I have to say, Joel was edgy and over the line at times, but he took no prisoners and kind of powered thru like Colbert. You could tell he was a democrat, and he went hard after CNN and the repubs.

        • 36 99ts
          May 3, 2014 at 11:43 pm

I don’t think you have to be a democrat to throw the jokes at the press and their bff the GOP – they say the stupid – they invite the jokes

          • 37 Paulita
            May 3, 2014 at 11:48 pm

The joke he did about Ted cruz, Rand Paul and a flour sack with a picture of Reagan running for pres. He gave a shout out to the flour sack.

Totally agree. I think McHale confused viciousness with snarkiness. But I thought the Christie fat joke was perfect because it was the same level of outrageousness as shutting down a bridge to exact political revenge against who wouldn’t do favors for his political friends, while lying about knowing about it and later having the citizens of New Jersey pay one million dollars to faux exonerate him.

Final comment, I truly hope that yellow Corvette VPB was driving is the one he wanted to buy so bad!! It might be his way of letting us know he did it!! He sure looked good in it, hilarious that he said, ‘the secret service won’t let me drive it off the grounds’!! I was blowing a gasket by then!! Goodnight, sweet dreams, we’ll be laughing in our sleep!http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/candles.cfm?l=eng&gi=PBO

Well, we had company for dinner so I wasn’t able to follow till now. I know that Chips will post the President’s comments tomorrow. From what you are saying he was again a great success. We know there is no one like him. Well I will try to read more tomorrow, too many gin & tonics to read more. Off to bed.

I love that smile! POTUS looks like he is having a very good time. And Michelle is especially gorgeous. What a night!!!

I’m going to bed soon, just wanted to comment on a couple of pieces of info I found. Interesting that the House is creating that Special Benghazi committee. I have the feeling it is going to be a huge millstone around their necks. I found this interesting piece of information.
