She is not anorexic, Yardarm. I saw her in person once. She is a really tiny woman with little bird bones. An extra sandwich would probably make her fall over. I’m sure she eats well. She has lovely healthy skin & hair.

        May 3, 2014 at 8:34 pm

I’m betting more than half the people in that room hate POTUS.. or want to be him so bad they’re obsessed. I think they go because as typical repubs- they just never learn.. they still believe they can beat him.. no matter how may times he swats them down.

        • 17 aquagranny911
          May 3, 2014 at 8:44 pm

They go because they are all attention whores & even though they hate PBO, they hope somehow a bit of the magic of his personality will rub off on them.

            May 3, 2014 at 8:46 pm

yes, agree they are very much attention whores.. their behavior on POTUS is just weirdly passive aggressive – I will never understand them.

Yep he’s going to be missed, the bar is so high, it’s unimaginable that any other President will rise to President Obama’s level. Someday the rest of this country will figure it out.. and they’ll regret all they missed.

Yardarm, your co-chair of the Naughty Mats; I have everything under control. I really do not want to see our brilliant and fine AG Holder roll up on you. No, all in light fun. Dr. Sharon Malone Holder is a beautiful and lovely wife, mother, and doctor. They are so special to me. She is looking mighty fine as well tonight.

Ladies, get out the cocoa butter. It is that time of season, so I ordered with Chips consent the new style mats for all of us. Let us enjoy our spring glowing and sizzling summer. POB has a great team with their spouses. We love them and appreciate seeing them at these fine occasions. The men are brilliant and fine, and the ladies are brilliant and elegant with great looks. Love this team. HZ

LOL I finally come out of lurksville and post just in time to see a new post is up, so thought I’d bring this over from bottom of last thread:

Good evening all you beautiful people. Long time, no post. I still visit almost daily but am either sneaking a peak at work, where I can’t post, or it’s for a quick minute on my way out the door in the morning, or so late at night that I fall asleep before catching up.

I’m home for my favorite comedy show of the year with the master entertainer and all around great guy, President Obama, and there’s no other company I’d rather keep for the occasion.

I’m out of the shadows to give a big shout out on the 25mil milestone. No other news outlet comes close at providing info, insight, humor and facts the way you all do here at TOD. I know I’ve sent many here and they all have thanked me for it. The last person was a waitress at a Philippino restaurant who was so excited to see pictures of the President in her country. She had no idea he was even out of the country. She took this website address and said she couldn’t wait to visit when she got home.

So again a big congrats to a wonderful ‘newsblog’ community. And an especially big thanks to Chips for not shutting the doors, but allowing others to help her carry us through.

Let the fun begin! (It’s been so long I hope I remembered my login credentials)

I don’t know how POTUS and FLOTUS do it. 1/2 or more of the people in that room live to badmouth them
That audience is lucky to be in the presence of our First Family.

What would this event be like if The President and First Lady declined to attend next year?
(OK ignore me–I started out on the wrong foot this morning. Henceforth positive remarks.)

    • 86 hopefruit2
      May 3, 2014 at 8:57 pm

I think our First Couple takes it in stride – they see it as part of their job, so they go along. I would say that fewer than 1/4 the people there actually outright hate them, the rest have a combination of resentment/admiration/fascination and there are many who actually like the First Couple (the non-media folks). It appears to me that the majority of people (outside the media) want to be there BECAUSE PBO/FLOTUS are there. PBO has become the star of this event, no two ways about it.

Let’s check back after 2016…the interest in this event will drop sharply….

While waiting for the entrance of the POTUS & FLOTUS (well worth the wait…FLOTUS is breathtaking and her escort is looking mighty delicious as well) I chopped about a ton of veggies to go in the wheatberry salad I’m making.

Oh, the arms on Dr. Sharon Malone! I used to want arms like Serena Williams, but the FLOTUS arms win hands down for me. Hey, a girl can dream can’t she?

“Dmitry Tymchuk: Events in Odesa, May 2, 2014
Posted on May 4, 2014 by tilamuse

Translated and edited by Voices of Ukraine

According to Information Resistance, yesterday’s provocations in Odesa, which caused numerous casualties, were the result of an operation conducted and coordinated by Russia.

From the beginning of March until the end of April 2014, we noted the arrival of Russian Armed Forces units and those of the Main Intelligence Directorate [GRU of the General Staff of Russian Armed Forces], as well as representatives of Russian Cossacks and ultranationalist organizations on the territory of Transnistria.

Since mid-April, our sources in the Republic of Moldova recorded the arrival of Russian groups with young athletic men in Chisinau, departing further into the territory of Transnistria. They were accompanied by Russian FSB operatives.

However, the beginning of the active phase of the ATO in Sloviansk made Russian leadership force events in southern Ukraine, in order to compel Ukrainian security forces to urgently deploy resources and means from Donbas. We observed the tragic result of this monstrous provocation yesterday in Odesa.”

    These facts, coupled with ….

… expose Tzar Vlad’s folly, completely.

Maybe I’m weird – but the guy monopolizing the President – completely ignoring the person to the other side of him – I find that quite rude – every so often the President turns to the man on his other side – he could so teach these fools some lessons – shame they think they know it all

Whew! Just assigned the reading of the last of 3 books, per routine, to mr. dotster. I read the first 2 , Knock Knock and Where Animals Live. Mr. dotster is giving his all to a caterpillar book. We have played and played and played, ate pizza, had bath and shampoo, had ice cream bar and what did I miss? Highlights please.
Uh oh—mr. dotster is having a wee bit of difficulty exiting his bedroom. Grandson is trying to trick with one more book. Wonder who will win.
