I’m here now, Judith. 🙂 🙂 (Work has started to infringe more frequently on my every day TOD life – not for much longer I hope.) Congrats on beating everyone to the gate. 😀
And this is an example of how the pollsters/MSM can subtly influence respondents to give dishonest responses that contradict their true positions. By asking questions with the lead “Obama’s handling of…” the pollsters know perfectly well they’re going to get negative responses from their carefully selected samples of largely white, southern, conservative leaning Democrats and GOP and “Independents.” These carefully selected polling samples do NOT represent the general public.
I can’t believe the MSM bean-counters allow reporting on polls on a continual basis.
They’re meaningless when there is no campaigning going on, especially “Obama’s approval tanks…”
Chris Matthews aired a graphic awhile ago that showed how Americans support what GOP obstruct (from memory, ACA, immigration reform, gun safety and minimum wage).
I know that reporters don’t create headlines for the stories they report on; someone at the NYTImes must have realized that yesterday’s headline: “Republican-Led Filibuster Blocks Minimum Wage Bill in Senate”
and corrected it to: “Democrats Assail G.O.P. After Filibuster of Proposal to Raise Minimum Wage” once again proving that the NYT is part of the MSM/Kock beltway CW.
@BenCisco (2/2) NYT changed ystrdy's headline "GOPled filibuster blocks min wage bill in Senate" to "Dems assail GOP…" @aspirational12
YOU THINK THIS IS BAD…YOU SHOULD HAVE HEARD THE COMMENTS IN INDY WHEN PBO WAS FIRST ELECTED…AND THEY RIPPED MY CAR APRT BECAUSE OF HIS BUMPER STICKERS…THESE FOOLS ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE. I ALWAYS PRAY FOR THE PRESIDENT’S PROTECTION BECAUSE AMERICA HOUSES A SICK SOCIETY.
Ukrainian Ballerinas Turn Swan Lake into Subversive Anti-Putin Performance
“Ballerinas in the Ukrainian city of Odessa have performed a dance from the Swan Lake ballet for Russian President Vladimir Putin — but the gesture was far from salutary.
The dance, performed to music by composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky outside Odessa’s military history museum, was a nod to a Soviet-era tradition, the performance’s organizer said, noting that state-run television traditionally aired classical music during periods of great change in the Soviet Union.
“For millions of Soviet people, televised performance of the world-renowned ballet ‘Swan Lake’ always signaled a change in the country’s leadership — either the death of the Secretary-General, or his ouster as a result of a coup,” regional lawmaker Oleksiy Honcharenko said when introducing the performance in front of Ukrainian television cameras.
“Because Vladimir Putin has made a fatal mistake by unleashing aggression against Ukraine, today Odessa, as a cultural capital, performs for him this portentous composition,” he said in footage that aired on Ukrainian television and was posted online Wednesday.”
Getting a brief break at work and reading through the R&S. I just want to say this. Although I do read and listen to other reports about the situation in Ukraine, this is the place I most depend on. And a very, very special shout out to Bobfr who must spend most of his time going to sources most of us don’t even know about to keep us up to date.
Jeez, I almost think he must work in the State Department or somewhere else in the government to bring us the latest. Oustanding work and outsanding info.
John, am just an ordinary citizen trying to contribute whenever I have a spare moment. Appreciate your gracious comment, as I do for Gail’s others. Thank you
well dang I missed most of that.. my son’s 8th grade science teacher was in the running for MD teacher of the year- he’s a wonderful young man, sorry he didn’t win, but the winning teacher also seems pretty great.
NW, I totally missed commenting on the R&S, but I have to tell you how AWESOME it is. I truly enjoyed viewing it – especially your choice of pics and Pete’s photo’s and comments.
Moscow Will Face a Partisan War if It Moves Deeper into Ukraine, Shukhevich Says
“Staunton, May 1 – Ukrainians have “enormous experience” with partisan war and will draw on it if Kyiv surrenders any more Ukrainian territory to Russia or if Moscow seizes any on its own, according to Yury Shukhevych, the leader of the Ukrainian National Assembly-Ukrainian National Self Defense (UNO-UNSO) organization.
Shukhevych and the UNO-UNSO are often dismissed as marginal figures, but his argument here may be important because the prospect of facing such resistance is probably among most important factors keeping Moscow from moving to annex larger parts of Ukraine.
As many countries have learned, it is one thing to seize territory; it is quite another thing to pacify it, especially if a significant portion of the population is antagonistic and prepared to engage in partisan war. The number of troops, the amount of money, and the time required for the second are all far greater than for the first.”
I can just imagine more GOP losing the residue of sanity they had. Fortunately, ACA covers obsession, mental illnesses, erratic behavior. But only if they subject visits a doctor. Oh boy!
Just getting here … no idea why, but Jake Tapper is airing his show while in “Crawford, TX.” Don’t plan to stay around to find out why, but I’m guessing he misses the old days. Yuck.
Oh my god. Poor taste, incomprehensible. Probably will make it the subject of his next painting or paid speech.
I’m wondering if it is in any way possible that he’s being eaten alive – inside out – by his murderous decisions. I doubt it, but that would be better than his incomprehensible callousness doing something like this.
STATE DEPT. BRIEFING WITH DEPUTY SPOKESPERSON MARIE HARF
Deputy Spokesperson Marie Harf spent about 25 minutes at today’s State Department briefing answering questions from reporters on (wait for it) BENGHAZI. If you have the time, I highly recommend it. Marie is terrific. She provided detailed facts and history on Benghazi and in so doing made the entire issue of the latest bombshell email and phony conspiracy theories look ridiculous.

I’m not quite understanding the tweets – but this explanation sure lays it out – the GOP continues to unskew statistics which prove anything they have declared to be false. The media assists them by headlining the GOP lies and not bothering to correct same.
This current WH is so full of ideas, honestly! Granted it’s the first WH I’ve ever paid any attention to, but I’m sure if anything half as exciting had been happening previously I would have caught a whiff, if only in passing.
I think President Obama is the teacher of the year!
Gratz Judith!
ok guys – this looks AMAZING:
Hey Tally – yes it does!
Hey, Judith, did you see my response about your daughter and I being sister alums. There are so few of us, I was thrilled you mentioned it.
Oh WOW, I want to see how it ends!
🙂 Agreed, Judith!
Congrats on 1st Judith and I agree!
🙂
Thanks, Bobfr! Nice tweet!
WELL DONE….AND I AGREE TOO…PBO SHOULD HAVE A TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD…AND HIS SCHOOL HAS NOT BEEN FUN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!
VC, are you here?
Judith, vc’s at work 🙂
Thanks, GGail. I never expect to be first in the morning or afternoon!
Ha, vc has you looking over your shoulder for her to be running to be first. Well you enjoy your position at top Judith!

This reminds me of the polling of ACA that showed people not favoring Obamacare, but favoring the separate parts of ACA.
Moving. I mean right now. I don’t even have time to finish this p….
Want to bet that Bob & MP were at the negotiating table in favor of the $15.00 min. wage increase? 🙂
GOOOOOO Seattle!!!
🙂
Good one, bobfr, nice place you got here!
YES!!
SEE – ATTTTTTT – ULLLLLLLLL!! Yes. We. Did!
Bobfr, did you see this (posted yesterday, article from Apr 29):
Ukraine isn’t the only country with checkpoints and militia…
Yes I did, Arapaho. Those folk in NV are just as much terrorists as the ones in Ukraine, for sure.

Thanks Bob for your continuous coverage. I wouldn’t know or understand what was transpiring without you!
Happy to help, Gail. Thank you

I almost think he must work in the State Department or somewhere else in the government… I have been thinking that for quite some time….
japa, I just tried in my feeble way to express my gratitude to Bob. I have to agree with you….he has some inside connection or…??
Nothing you do is ever feeble.
Ahh my brother – thank you!
Give the grandchildren a kiss from their “west coast” relative 😉
You got it.
John, am just an ordinary citizen trying to contribute whenever I have a spare moment. Appreciate your gracious comment, as I do for Gail’s others. Thank you
Citizen, sure. Ordinary, no way.
Again, japa – I concur.
Bob thinks we can’t see that big red S peeping through his Brooks Brother’s shirt – but we do!
or his Seattle flannel! YAY Bobfr!
🙂 🙂 don’t need our flannels today!
Love ya, Bob. Thanks for everything you do as an ordinary citizen.
John, Gail, Judith & Jacqueline – you are all very kind & quite humorous (re: red S) 🙂 Thank you

Good Afternoon NW,

Just getting here … no idea why, but Jake Tapper is airing his show while in “Crawford, TX.” Don’t plan to stay around to find out why, but I’m guessing he misses the old days. Yuck.
He is doing his bike ride with our wounded ( that he is 100 % responsible for )…..it makes me sick.

Chilling detail:
What a horror show.

Like Russia – looking to start the bloodshed and blame the “others”
Lots of similarities, for sure! Except one’s a government and one hates our government, unless it works for them, and then everything’s peachy.
Hello everyone! Happy May Day! I still remember my guy bringing me flowers my senior year in HS. 😎 🙂 He’s turned out to be a good hubby.
