    Beautiful couple.

PBO and FLOTUS deserve a night out. They work waaaaaay to hard.

I missed the speech. Chips, NW, will it be up soon.

I got a gist, thankfully from NW’s transcription. But I can’t wait to hear him.

Voting is an Issue of Citizenship.

Here is my fervent hope for Kathleen Sebelius. She will return to my state KS (the reddest of the red!), rest awhile and then take on Pat Roberts in 2016. Remove him from the Senate where he has been ensconced since 1997 (before that the House since 1981) and bring more bi-partisan representation for the people of Kansas.

Oh my. I could see that image being turned into statuary some fine day, perhaps at the BHO Presidential Library.

How he takes time to reach out and touch the little children is one of his gifts – to the little children, himself, and to all of us.

            Hello TODers!
This picture mesmerizes me…..that face, those eyes connecting to his is just unbelievable.
She senses something special from a perfect stranger as if she knows the touch will be gentle and meaningful.
Thank you everyone for all of today and past days I was lurking.

All the speeches have been truly amazing. But today POB seemed relaxed as if he was in his living room telling it like it is.
What made me proud is how he made fun of the birth certificate ordeal that hurt so many of us here(still hurts me).
But when he said that”he hadn’t thought of that in a while”, that sealed it for me. It Loved All The Hurt Away…..one of Aretha’s poignant songs. It just made me sit up and say this man is focused and means business. He took all that “shit” (even though he said “stuff”) and kept on moving. Inspite iof the “stuff” he and the people around him gets the job done.
            Now, that’s Progress with a capital “P”.

It is a beautiful night here in NYC. Lots of traffic all day everywhere. I avoided as much as I could by walking in Central Park, the flowers are in full bloom. Birds were chirping. People were not rushing today, maybe because the day is so sunny and beautiful. But I personally think PBO and FLTOUS being in town on a date makes it even special.
NAN is very close to me but they are downtown at a hotel. Spike Lee and Rev. Al Sharpton faces express exactly what I am feeling right about now. It is okay that I I could not get a ticket for tonight(I tried like hell). Probably will not be able to get tickets to see the play they are going to see. I am happy they are here, safe and having fun.

I double dare anybody to even attempt to throw a shoe……that is rude and ABC making a joke out of it pathetic journalism.
So sick and tired of MSm dumb assess.

Thank you Ms. Chips and everyone here that keeps me lurking when I cannot stop by.
            Enjoy the weekend.

                JB, you are so welcome!
Days and nights like this I wish that everyone who have never been here would come.
Yesterday I was out and about. It is hard to come home once you start walking….just walking. So much energy. So many people. Different foods. Different blocks. Different fashions.
Someone made mentioned of FLOTUS look today when they arrived in NYC. I was thinking the same thing.
In NY YOU make the style. The style does not make you. She fits perfectly in this town. When people give you a double take that is all that needs to be said. And if they speak on it whether to you or at you……you just might be an extra in Spike Lee’s next movie. Or not…..
Just live in the present! Right Now!
Yesterday is done. Tomorrow will take care of itself.

JB, what the hell are you waiting for!
One of my sons went to college in Hampton VA. His first time back for Thanksgiving he said he kissed the ground when he got back. I told him I did not sent him to college to become the Pope. We still laugh at that to this day. He thanked me for choosing to live here. He did not have a clue what was waiting him in VA.

                Hi Meta!
Yes, it is. And I know everyone has had a long, cold winter. But here the day blends into the night. You don’t stop…..(unless you can’t hang)
But the point is IF just if you had a thought to go back out and see a movie, you will find a lot of other people joining you.
I visited my home town in GA last summer and I suggested to go and see a movie at 10:00 pm. We were the only three people there. I was afraid. Can you believe that?
And the two people I came with fell asleep. I felt sorry for the kids who were at the counter serving us. I just ordered popcorn to give them something to do. But it was fun…..not going unless I have to, though.

I went to the dentist today. While sitting in the waiting room (TV was on Fox), Ed Henry was on TV lying about Obamacare and Kathleen Sebillius. Every time he opened his mouth and told a lie, I said out loud, he is lying. I just started talking about the health care law and what it is doing for people and the more than 7 mil people who got care.

I talked about how GOP governors are blocking Medicaid Expansion so that people don’t get care.

Another man was sitting in there. At first he snickered, couldn’t tell if it was at me or at Ed. But I did not care. I kept talking about ACA and its benefits, until I got called in.

I was so mad. If I couldn’t turn that thing off, I was not going to sit there and listen to them lie.

      • April 11, 2014 at 8:28 pm

🙂 It’s Spike’s face especially that cracks me up, Rev Al is usually so facially expressive, but Spike tends to be a little more restrained/cool. It’s a hoot!

Fort Hood, then POTUS have to go to Washington St. were the mudslide, and then stabbing of the students in Pa., the school bus which a Fed Ex truck ran into killing 10 people. So I’m glad POTUS and FLOTUS were able to go enjoy a Broadway play with friends.

Not exactly a date night, but hubby is grilling steaks!
