Beautiful couple.
PBO and FLOTUS deserve a night out. They work waaaaaay to hard.
I missed the speech. Chips, NW, will it be up soon.
I got a gist, thankfully from NW’s transcription. But I can’t wait to hear him.
Hiya Africa, the speech is in the post, just scroll down a bit.
Thank you!! 🙂
Thanks Chips, I’ve missed a few days.
How are things Carol, improving I hope?
No, but I’m not complaining. . .
It’s the weekend, y’all:

Can the tweets be posted here?
DG is the scum of the earth.
❤ it. Thanks Lady CarolMae 🙂
🙂 Good Morning! 🙂 ❤
Congrats to the 3 Gold Medalists.
I am now listening to the speech by pres Obama at the NAN yearly gathering. Yes indeed. So Far, fantastic.
And the crowd was so with him from beginning to end….
Voting is an Issue of Citizenship.
Voting is in the Constitution. The right to Vote is to in essence, fortifies the type of political system that governs a Nation.
Took a liberty Nena. . .
Congrats on Gold!
Bless You, Madame. That is awesome 😉
😉
Here is my fervent hope for Kathleen Sebelius. She will return to my state KS (the reddest of the red!), rest awhile and then take on Pat Roberts in 2016. Remove him from the Senate where he has been ensconced since 1997 (before that the House since 1981) and bring more bi-partisan representation for the people of Kansas.
Hope you get your wish!
🙂 Someone needs to take on that toxic, ugly Kris Kobach. Kick his ass to the curb. For good.
Oh my. I could see that image being turned into statuary some fine day, perhaps at the BHO Presidential Library.
How he takes time to reach out and touch the little children is one of his gifts – to the little children, himself, and to all of us.
And the gentleness of the touch too Jacqueline, just the most beautiful thing!
Yes. You can feel it.
Gentle and powerful. I feel this one
Reminds me of this one DF, one of the most lovely ever:
He mesmerizes kids!
(And us) 🙂
Shhhh (OBOTs!) 🙂
Hello TODers!
This picture mesmerizes me…..that face, those eyes connecting to his is just unbelievable.
She senses something special from a perfect stranger as if she knows the touch will be gentle and meaningful.
Thank you everyone for all of today and past days I was lurking.
All the speeches have been truly amazing. But today POB seemed relaxed as if he was in his living room telling it like it is.
What made me proud is how he made fun of the birth certificate ordeal that hurt so many of us here(still hurts me).
But when he said that”he hadn’t thought of that in a while”, that sealed it for me. It Loved All The Hurt Away…..one of Aretha’s poignant songs. It just made me sit up and say this man is focused and means business. He took all that “shit” (even though he said “stuff”) and kept on moving. Inspite iof the “stuff” he and the people around him gets the job done.
Now, that’s Progress with a capital “P”.
It is a beautiful night here in NYC. Lots of traffic all day everywhere. I avoided as much as I could by walking in Central Park, the flowers are in full bloom. Birds were chirping. People were not rushing today, maybe because the day is so sunny and beautiful. But I personally think PBO and FLTOUS being in town on a date makes it even special.
NAN is very close to me but they are downtown at a hotel. Spike Lee and Rev. Al Sharpton faces express exactly what I am feeling right about now. It is okay that I I could not get a ticket for tonight(I tried like hell). Probably will not be able to get tickets to see the play they are going to see. I am happy they are here, safe and having fun.
I double dare anybody to even attempt to throw a shoe……that is rude and ABC making a joke out of it pathetic journalism.
So sick and tired of MSm dumb assess.
Thank you Ms. Chips and everyone here that keeps me lurking when I cannot stop by.
Enjoy the weekend.
Enjoy your weekend, too. And thanks for giving us “the feel of NYC” as you know it! I hope it’s a wonderful evening for POTUS and FLOTUS and their friends, too.
JB, you are so welcome!
Days and nights like this I wish that everyone who have never been here would come.
Yesterday I was out and about. It is hard to come home once you start walking….just walking. So much energy. So many people. Different foods. Different blocks. Different fashions.
Someone made mentioned of FLOTUS look today when they arrived in NYC. I was thinking the same thing.
In NY YOU make the style. The style does not make you. She fits perfectly in this town. When people give you a double take that is all that needs to be said. And if they speak on it whether to you or at you……you just might be an extra in Spike Lee’s next movie. Or not…..
Just live in the present! Right Now!
Yesterday is done. Tomorrow will take care of itself.
Beautiful! I’ve been to NYC and always wanted to live there, so I’m drooling.
JB, what the hell are you waiting for!
One of my sons went to college in Hampton VA. His first time back for Thanksgiving he said he kissed the ground when he got back. I told him I did not sent him to college to become the Pope. We still laugh at that to this day. He thanked me for choosing to live here. He did not have a clue what was waiting him in VA.
Stop it! You’re killing me. (Love the story about your son!)
What a beautiful day for you, LDS! Spring is such a time for renewal.
Hi Meta!
Yes, it is. And I know everyone has had a long, cold winter. But here the day blends into the night. You don’t stop…..(unless you can’t hang)
But the point is IF just if you had a thought to go back out and see a movie, you will find a lot of other people joining you.
I visited my home town in GA last summer and I suggested to go and see a movie at 10:00 pm. We were the only three people there. I was afraid. Can you believe that?
And the two people I came with fell asleep. I felt sorry for the kids who were at the counter serving us. I just ordered popcorn to give them something to do. But it was fun…..not going unless I have to, though.
Indeed! Children are so amazing! They can sense which adults genuinely loves them and the ones who are just pretending.
Exactly! And they’ll tell you if they don’t like you – sometimes loudly!
So true:) Such a gentle, honest touch. Genuine.
Cutest of the day, Yes 😉
Lovely tribute to HHS Sebelius and great NAN speech. What a pleasure to listen to PBO. He makes you feel alive.
Not that many have the power to “make you feel alive” just by speaking, but they’re the kind of people I want to hang with!
Me too! Just finished listening to FLOTUS. Dynamic couple!
Wonderful people. We’re so lucky.
Yes you are! And I am so grateful to be able to observe and enjoy what they both mean to the wider world, thanks in large part to TOD.
And, thus, you are lucky to – to join us! 🙂
Aw sweet JOB!
I meant “lucky, too” – but you know what I meant – luckily!
i did. I’ve been reading your writing for years. Just realized how long. Wow!
Years? From the OFA days? Wow. It has been years and years, hasn’t it. It is amazing how long many of us have been joined at the hip in this age of Obama!
Time flies….too fast. They’ll soon be gone and that which ties us together will also be gone.(sort of) Sighing in sadness already.
I know what you mean. When I think of that future time, I have to push it out of my head (and heart!).
So nice to see all the nice comments about Secretary Sebelius on Twitter today!
I loved her remarks today. She is a strong woman who knows the battlefield in all directions. She deserves a gold medal for her achievements.
Agree. I just love her! She never disappointed me (and I am the center of the universe, after all).
I went to the dentist today. While sitting in the waiting room (TV was on Fox), Ed Henry was on TV lying about Obamacare and Kathleen Sebillius. Every time he opened his mouth and told a lie, I said out loud, he is lying. I just started talking about the health care law and what it is doing for people and the more than 7 mil people who got care.
I talked about how GOP governors are blocking Medicaid Expansion so that people don’t get care.
Another man was sitting in there. At first he snickered, couldn’t tell if it was at me or at Ed. But I did not care. I kept talking about ACA and its benefits, until I got called in.
I was so mad. If I couldn’t turn that thing off, I was not going to sit there and listen to them lie.
Thank you for your courage in standing for those without health care.
Look at the expressions on Rev Al and Spike Lee’s faces – OBOTS!!! 🙂
They look like any two people in any crowd that forms around the President! And they’ve been within reach of him numerous times, so I guess it never “gets old.” Ha.
🙂 It’s Spike’s face especially that cracks me up, Rev Al is usually so facially expressive, but Spike tends to be a little more restrained/cool. It’s a hoot!
Oh, I forgot about the usual steely look on Spike’s face – and you are so right! Like day and night. Ha.
2014 is NOT 2010 and one of the biggest reasons that is so is because President Obama has OFA focused squarely on delivering a knock out to the #KOCHSTERS on 4 Nov 2014.
Yes We WILL
OOOOOoooooo, very exciting! POTUS, FLOTUS, Valerie Jarrett and Ahmad Rashad are going to see A Raisin in the Sun.
I mean, we are talking Denzel Washington here.
I know, right? 🙂
What a night for them after this big week full of speeches and heavy emotional events. I hope they’ve had a fabulous dinner and enjoy this incredible show. Bliss.
I’m glad POTUS and FLOTUS were able to get out. Fort Hood, then POTUS have to go to Washington St. were the mudslide, and then stabbing of the students in Pa., the school bus which a Fed Ex truck ran into killing 10 people. So I’m glad POTUS and FLOTUS were able to go enjoy a Broadway play with friends.
Love that company!!
They’re fantastic!!’
I knew you will post this here. You rock Lady 😉
Ms. Dudette,
Hey girl……..
Just had to come back and tell you that YOU are top shelf with your bad self!
How is Dad doing?
Hi LDS! Thank you so much!
Dad’s doing great, Mom is too! They’ve dear friends visiting from NC. They’re so giddy if they did backflips I wouldn’t be surprised! They’re so cute! 🙂
How are things with you?
Real good and real busy.
Getting involved in the MTP in Valdosta, GA.
(The Mary Turner Project)
Going to make sure Voters Right is incorporated in the struggle.
This project ripped my soul.
Thank you for all of your information and music. It keeps me balanced and steady.
Thanks! I’m always happy to share. Am grateful to
Chips and the BTs for allowing us to go off on tangents a bit. 🙂
Hey, that’s important work you’re doing. Thank you for serving the country in this way.
Please be sure to write POTUS and FLOTUS about the work y’all are doing, if you haven’t already.
For others who might be curious:

I missed this yesterday
She is a stunning woman and a great role model.
🙂
I mean, come ON! How beautiful is this?
Ooooh, it’s gorgeous Dudette!
Just makes me swoon!
😀
Chat away!

Who’s going to be the first GOP/TP legislator to speak up for the militia?
And this would be that very “well-regulated militia” mentioned in the 2nd Amendment, so dear to their little hearts? Just askin’…
Good Evening Everyone!
I’m so tickled that the First Couple is on a date night! They soooo deserve it. Devastating speech at the NAN today! Rev. Al has been totally loyal to the President and the President respects and appreciates it. Big smiles all around!
Not exactly a date night, but hubby is grilling steaks!
He’s just been asked to moderate a program next month that features a documentary called “The New Blacks.” which addresses how the AA community is dealing with marriage equality within the community.
These people make me sick. After their “performance ratings,” they probably cry all weekend. But okay to throw dirt at our Kathleen.
“These people make me sick.”
JOB, They make me sick too!
You hold ’em, nath, and I’ll slap ’em.
Or not.
#MovingOn 🙂
