What a great picture for today. I was thinking the same thing. I was also thinking of the millions of Americans who now have health insurance. I can’t wait until next November and millions more sign up. Maybe the gop will give the stupid lying commercials a rest and people will get themselves signed up. I want to thank everyone here at TOD for all they have done to make this miracle happen. I simply love our President. We needed him and he needed us. Have a nice evening.

PBO’s mother is smiling down as well. It was her awful experience of fighting the insurance company as she fought for her life that first dedicated him to this fight.

This pic has me in tears of Joy! I remember his 1980 speech at the Democratic convention about the “Dream Shall Never Die.” Teddy definitely saw some thing in President Obama.

    AP article on reaching 7+ million…. http://abcnews.go.com/Health/wireStory/deadline-dash-health-care-sign-ups-amid-glitches-23130500

Though March 31 was the last day officially to sign up, millions of people are potentially eligible for extensions granted by the administration. Those include people who had begun enrolling by the deadline but didn’t finish, perhaps because of errors, missing information or website glitches. The government says it will accept paper applications until April 7 and take as much time as necessary to handle unfinished cases on HealthCare.gov. Rules may vary in states running their own insurance marketplaces. The administration is also offering special extensions to make up for all sorts of problems that might have kept people from getting enrolled on time: Natural disasters. Domestic abuse. Website malfunctions. Errors by insurance companies. Mistakes by application counselors. To seek a special enrollment period, contact the federal call center, at 1-855-889-4325, or the state marketplace and explain what happened. It’s on the honor system. If the extension is approved, that brings another 60 days to enroll.

Gabba, latest revision 7.1 million & counting:

I am so glad that the 7M was reached before the Midnight.

      Those who spin will spin.

But topping 7M is a way to s t f u of those who will always hate. Today 2-31-14, 7M is the lucky number.

We got our taxes figured, and we have to pay. More than I would wish, but I’m not complaining. We have only one deduction: the mortgage on our house.
So…….I told my husband I am glad to pay taxes to help pay for health care for those who cannot. This is a good reason to pay taxes…..NOT paying for the MIC and Cheney and his buddies to make money on WAR! This is a peace dividend!

AND…..no troop deaths this months, for the first time since March 2003!!! Another peace dividend. You know what…….this peace thing might catch on……that would be a change worth working for.

Truth is: I’m also glad to pay higher taxes to support people getting health insurance, regular checkups, free wellness exams, and greater security. The alternative was to have 40 million people continue to lose sleep at the thought of getting sick and not being able to take their kids for regular check-ups or to a doctor when they get sick – or potentially losing everything they own to take care of a loved one. The alternative was also continuing to pay higher insurance rates to pay for those whose only recourse was to seek care at an Emergency Room. And it was also unnerving to live each day wondering if our own insurance would be cancelled or revoked due to an unknown pre-existing condition like acne or being a woman or having a baby… This Obamacare is a Godsend.

AMK, what is up w/ this… Goldman Sachs is bullish on Modi? Is he a RW shill that just has anti-corruption claim as a red herring?

Interesting to see the F.O.B.’s are landing

    …and this

    • 76 amk for obama
      April 1, 2014 at 12:16 am

Yup. Anti-corruption is the public mood now and he is riding it. Despite being in the pockets of big oil and big money. Some of his campaign speeches with cheap personal attacks would put southern gop into shame.

      • April 1, 2014 at 12:48 am

That is what I thought & why I’m confused…. My uncle in Roanoke, is a big local Virginia/DNC donor….yet he has been effusive about Modi for months. Maybe because my mother’s side of the family is from Gujrat, but I don’t get it. Seem to me like there are not really any legit choices for the upcoming election so maybe ‘lesser of 30 evils’…..I don’t know. What outcome party wise/candidate do you think is the best fit right now? Maybe I can talk some sense into him and my other uncle in Bhavnagar!

Any outcome that doesn’t give bjp the run of the place is the best one can hope for. Coalition govt will put a check on his moves. Congress dug its grave deeper and deeper with unparalleled corruption.

May the goodness of our collective efforts to have the wisdom to listen to this wonderful voice who touched out hearts back in 2004, and maybe even before that for some of us. May total sweet peace on this issue dwell in the hearts and lives of those who go to bed tonight knowing that they have Affordable Healthcare to count on from now on.

May the sweet, sweet spirit of our Chips, NerdyW., and all of the wonderful TODers who worked so hard to help so many get insurance always be blessed in your space. We Stand Together As One. Giving peace to hearts and minds tonight is truly a blessing for our TOD family.

May God continue to grant wisdom, grace, and compassion to our beautiful and loving President and Vice President. Goodnight everyone.HZ

Thank you for hearing our prayers.
Bless everyone who can sleep a little bit peacefully tonight knowing they will be able to visit a doctor, ER, hospital if they get sick tonight or any other night.
Thank you for everyone here who really cares and work very hard to bring us the truth when we could not find it elsewhere.

As our President, Vice President their families and Administration sleep tonight give them a sense of peace, well-being and calmness in knowing that We, The People are so grateful for their services and sacrifices they endured to make this day possible.
All things are possible when there is HOPE. We know that now. We believe it. We embrace it.

Good morning, Left TV on NBC long enough to hear the top stories teased. ACA NOT even mentioned. Of course, I wasn’t surprised, but……sigh. Also, saw something on FB that I need to check out before passing on. Looked like a link (proof) that the GOP was deeply involved in the Volkswagen UAW vote here in TN. Be back later with that.

Love the photo—–another baby instinctively reaching out to touch the good guy. Amusing to see some of the conversation this a.m. re. health care achievement—-especially from the Repub types—slowly dancing and twirling away from the former doomsday predictions——not yet willing to offer any full-throated praise—-horrors be!——but choking over saying “maybe it’s not the end of the world” for Dems etc. Spinning, spinning away from former harsh rhetoric.
