#Get Covered. #Election Matters. Thank you President Obama and all the democrats in Congress that voted for ObamaCare in 2010.

Bringing my comment over from bottom of last post.

Again, Thank you Nerdy Wonka for another wonderful surge of coverage of OBAMACARE.
Thank you CHIPS for providing this platform that outshines the lazy media coverage any day of the year.

You both are a tremendous blessing.

OMG!!! So much happened today while I was back at work!!

    http://immasmartypants.blogspot.com/2014/03/mondays-dont-always-have-to-get-your.html

Mondays don’t always have to get you down. Today was a GREAT one!

So proud of everyone that talked to friends and family about Obamacare…proud of all the navigators and others that signed up everyone that wanted it….makes my heart happy:) These people will tell their friends and their families and so on and so on….and even if some don’t make it this round, they won’t think twice in November for round 2….it will just perpetuate itself …on and on the safety and security of families having healthcare….it’s a wonderful thing!!! No turning back now… FORWARD! Thank you, President Obama and everyone that helped this come to fruition. Now Dems, STICK UP FOR YOUR HARD WORK! THIS WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO! IF YOU DON’T KNOW IT, DON’T FEEL IT IN YOUR BONES, THEN GET THE HELL OUTTA THE WAY FOR SOMEONE THAT DOES!

      Hi desertflower,

      Here’s what Ed S. reported about the DEMs today;

Ed S. stated that he has been hearing that the DEMS are saying; they don’t want to get burned too early before the election, and they are not ready to come out in full support. They want to wait until they are closer to November.

Here are my questions to the DEMS who are COWARDS.

Who told you that you were promised to win the 2014 election?
Who guaranteed you that you would be here in November 2014?

What I know about life; our yesterdays are gone, tomorrows are not guaranteed or promised, and all you have right now……is TODAY!

Some of these DEMs are taking for granted that they will automatically get the President’s voters, so they can sit back and be safe.

Bush Administration lied us into a war and 4000 plus American lives are lost FOREVER.

***President Obama fought with every thing inside of him to bring America healthcare; possibly SAVING MILLIONS of lives, and they (DEMS) run like chickens with their heads cut off (the elders would say).

However, they expect us to vote for them because let them tell it, we don’t have a choice.

Hey, Cindy:) First of all, let me say that I read your heartbreaking story of your aunt. I can’t imagine what she went through…a proud woman that didn’t want to burden or worry her family….among other things. What a gut wrenching tale that was…but worthy of sharing. You have every right to be enraged by those that would cavalierly blow off the importance of what healthcare means to people and the ones that love them. Harness your white hot passion about this issue, as you are, and write to the newspaper, preach to your friends and others you come in contact with everyday….hugs to you and your family. I love your passion…just make that anger you have work for the good of others.

As far as Ed is concerned, you know what…I don’t really listen to any of those jaw flappers. I don’t care what end of the political spectrum they fall on. Why is their opinion any more informed or better than mine? I read about 18 hours/ day (literally) every day. I really don’t give a rat’s ass what any of them have to say about much….the proof is in the action, the doing. People that run their mouths all day (and get paid for it!) can bite me. Now…that said, I have to give Ed his kudos about his healthcare pushes in NOLA and other cities around the country. Much needed…but if you peel all that back…what that showed all of us is that America has an issue with access to affordable healthcare for its citizens. A right, not a privilege, is being denied and put out of reach for so many of our citizens…and President Obama set out to right that injustice and level the playing field. My heart is full. More to do, tweeks that can be made to make it better/ stronger. But this man, almost single handedly, when the doubters doubted, and the whiners, whined…put his shoulders into this, his heart and soul into this..and got done what others had tried and failed at. So seriously, and excuse my language, I really don’t want to hear what paid pundits have to say, or the rabid nutjobs from any party, the proof of this historic and monumental law and phenomenal peace of mind for its beneficiaries is the proof. Screw them. Screw them all. When I hear stories like yours, and so many others that might have had a different outcome had they had insurance…or the thrill of having insurance for the first time ever…well, that’s what really matters when all is said and done. So proud of this incredible, incredible President. Let’s just say that some could learn a thing or two about doing the right thing even when it’s hard. There are no guarantees in this life, but I believe, like you do, that we do the right thing and speak the truth…the rest will follow. Dems need to be loud and proud! Embrace this like it deserves to be embraced and shout from the rooftops the goodness that is Obamacare. Disprove the lies and tell the truth about this! I hear you, I’m with you:) Trust me though…this is a train going down the track….we’re not turning around, not going back.

Those Dems that want to “pace themselves” better be careful…they wait too long to get in the game and start singing the praises of healthcare, the RW Lie Machine will already have been hard at work for months.

You know what this guy said about a lie:)

“A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.”

        ― Mark Twain

I’m just going to stop and smell the roses today. Celebrate life today. The haters will always be there….but they can’t take this away. Smile and then more work to do:)

The roses are beautiful today, and yes, I am going to fight for this right if I have to, for every family that has received this gift of life.

Cindy, your outrage is fully justified and I share it, but I don’t think Ed can speak for “Dem” candidates in general. Every Dem candidate who runs is going to be looking for our support. So..starting now, we make that support conditional. You (Dem candidate) fight the good fight on health care and we support you. Show cowardice on this issue and forget about asking for money or making phone calls. We have a lot of power and it’s up to us to use it.

JOURNALISM’S FIRST OBLIGATION IS TO TELL THE TRUTH

    Principles of Journalism

    —————————————

    1. Journalism’s first obligation is to the truth

Democracy depends on citizens having reliable, accurate facts put in a meaningful context. Journalism does not pursue truth in an absolute or philosophical sense, but it can–and must–pursue it in a practical sense. This “journalistic truth” is a process that begins with the professional discipline of assembling and verifying facts. Then journalists try to convey a fair and reliable account of their meaning, valid for now, subject to further investigation. Journalists should be as transparent as possible about sources and methods so audiences can make their own assessment of the information. Even in a world of expanding voices, accuracy is the foundation upon which everything else is built–context, interpretation, comment, criticism, analysis and debate. The truth, over time, emerges from this forum. As citizens encounter an ever greater flow of data, they have more need–not less–for identifiable sources dedicated to verifying that information and putting it in context.

The supposed to be ‘One Term President’ outsmarts the GOP again. When will they ever learn not to bet against this man
or try to outsmart him? I guess the answer is never, since they have tried so many times just to come away with egg on their faces.
We will surpass the 7 million by midnight. This President has fought so long and hard for this day and has been handsomely
rewarded with the outpouring of people signing up. He always told us that he is a fourth quarter player, and today he proves it once again.

May you continue to be blessed with divine wisdom and boldness Mr President, as you fight for the American people.
    We will remember in November.

I am so emotional about this final day of sign-up. I can’t adequately describe my feelings at this point. I’ll just say I am very grateful
for this day and for President Obama.

      Okay. I am done….
Ms. Chips, if you only knew how much this has been playing in my mind all week.
I am so grateful to you, my Sister for connecting these two lines of people with still….HOPE.

I refuse to get angry in these last minutes about anything or anybody.
I just get sick thinking about those who have insurance coverage and do not want others to share the experience.
What is really sickens me is you would deny others because you hate one man because of the color of his skin.
That to me is so inhumane.

Even in the animal kingdom they care for the wounded, if at all possible.
They will stop to at least lick the wounds of the wounded.

I just want to stay in the presence of what it feels like when human beings can all have access to affordable health care.
I am so grateful to be alive and I thank God for President Barack. H. Obama for all of his effort, hard work and determination to stay focus.
If there is anyone who is purposely denying health care for those who desires it, entitled to it and need it, well, you can just go to hell!

I have been badgering my son for months to sign up for ACA. Right now at this very moment he is sitting on the phone trying to get into the system. Now part of this is not his fault. He did try to sign up on line a few weeks ago, but got stuck. So he doesn’t know if he’s actually in the system, but doesn’t think so. Maryland’s website was the pits. They had to fire the company who designed the website. So it has not been easy in Maryland for a lot of people. The only thing I can hope for at this point is that time doesn’t run out and my son can get through on the phone. It’s too bad he didn’t persevere when he had the chance 😦

Finally I said, “I know I can’t make you do anything, but I’m really disappointed.” Well that did it and the following week he signed up. No matter how old your children are, they don’t like you to be disappointed in them.

There is also stuff like a group that continually calls me, saying they are from my insurance program, letting me know that I still need to choose a PCP, and they will be happy to help me, etc, etc, etc. They seem not to know that I signed up for a PCP with my REAL program quite a while ago, and that program has been awesome in keeping my records and communicating with me!! So, I let it go to voice mail, and of course I reported them to the care program I’m covered with. They can handle it. Bogus, bogus, bogus.

“Josh Charles…..stopped by Keith Olbermann’s show this weekend, and ran down the highlights in character as Rydell, the wise-cracking sportscaster from Aaron Sorkin’s amazing but short-lived Sports Night. And while Casey, Isaac, and Dana were nowhere to be found, watching Charles wax poetic about urine samples and the Sweet 16 was an incredibly satisfying five minutes of television for those of us who have spent many a night with the CSC team…….”

Funny conversation with Zeke Emmanuel about how, now that Obamacare is now Indisputably a part of our country’s policy and practice health care will go back to being as boring as it used to be.

Been at work all day today. Has anyone posted this already today?

    http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/03/31/obamacare-by-the-numbers.html

Consider these numbers from a Kaiser Foundation poll from last week. Percent who like the ACA’s extension of dependent coverage: 76. Percent supportive of the act’s closing of the Medicare drug “donut hole”: 73. Percent favoring “guaranteed issue” of coverage to people who are already sick: 69. Percent who back the Medicaid expansion: 62.

Oh, wait. Those are the Republican percentages. The overall percentages, respectively, are 80, 79, 70, and 74.

It’s the same old disconnect. Just as majorities of even rank-and-file Republicans support things like restricting the gun-show loophole (indeed a majority of NRA members support that), majorities of Republicans back these and other basic common-sense provisions of the ACA. And yet these same Republicans keep reelecting to Congress a horde of dishonest and ideologically driven harlots who’ve voted 50-whatever times to do away with all these positive changes.

STAND UP, DEMS! DOESN’T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS!!
