Mad Vlad haz a such sad
Got no clue he’s an evil cad
POTUS showed him how he’s been had
Wants I’m sorry on a writing pad
Better be quick before your banks go bad
Put it in a note that’s ironclad
Now, if you don’t have health insurance…GET COVERED!! Get peace of mind…GET RESPONSIBLE!
If I could send you some of our sunshine and warm weather, I sure would! This, imo. is the best time of year here….temps are moderate and confortable…the windows are all open in my house now, which means no air conditioner on….I hate being closed up, winter or summer. Soon enough it will become unbearable to be outside unless you’re in a pool….and it sure isn’t fun working in the yard when it’s 115 outside. For you, Spring is here and all that rain will bring beautiful flowers…
As glad as I am that those people are signing up to get healthcare, I am even more pissed off that Republicans are out there trying to end Obamacare. Those people aren’t standing in line because they don’t have anything to do a Saturday afternoon; those people are standing in line because they need a goddamn lifeline.
As Donna mentioned yesterday, these photos are reminiscent of the voting lines in 2012. And the GOP is trying to strip voting rights as well. If people don’t wake up and get over themselves in November, we are SCREWED.
As it was in 2012…..
I will never ever forget the long lines and the seniors, students, huddle masses yearning not to allow the Repugs to kill, steal and destroy their votes.
(sorry to interject) but I will never forget those long lines and the hope that held them together.
What’s a family values conservative to do when every effort to protect millions of Americans from the scourge of affordable healthcare fails?
Break out the beer, of course. The latest campaign to kill off Obamacare in its infancy is now playing out on college campuses where a conservative group known as Generation Opportunity (GO), who are funded in part by the billionaire Koch brothers, is using the lure of free beer and “opt out” beer koozies to persuade young students not to buy health insurance – or, at least, not to buy it from the Obamacare exchanges.
Even when I was in my teens and twenties, no one needed to bribe me with beer or any such to get me to not do something I didn’t want to do. If the Kochs have you bribe young people with beer to not sign up for ACA, they’re already losing the battle.
Ugh. This group, generation opportunity, is the one I found out a nephew of mine seems proud to work for, as a training supervisor. I shall continue to pray his brain heals. It sickens me, actually.
I hope the Koch-roaches lose a lot of money. These people just don’t have brains. Most of these kids on college campuses are under 26yrs old and are probably on their parents insurance plans. Many colleges cover medical through tuition. If these kids are working part time and/or can’t be on their folks insurance and they are in states that extend Medicaid….Koch-roaches are paying kids just to get drunk and if they drive and hurt others this opens the Koch-roaches up for law suits in my opinion.
“After a week of travel in the Mideast, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry changed course and arrived in Paris Saturday for talks with his Russian counterpart on the Ukraine crisis.
Halfway home from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Kerry landed in Shannon, Ireland, for a refueling stop, when decided to turn his plane around and headed to Paris. Kerry is to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov Sunday evening at the Russian ambassador’s residence.
Kerry spoke to Lavrov on the flight to Shannon after President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed in a call on Friday to have their foreign ministers meet to discuss a possible diplomatic resolution to the Ukraine situation.
While in Paris, Kerry may also meet separately with the French foreign minister Laurent Fabius.”
Next to the president himself, Kerry has got to be the hardest working person in the administration. What a job–negotiating an agreement with Russia, while at the same time trying to bring peace in the ME. Wonder what he does in his “spare” time.
63 Black Harvard Students Share Their Experiences In A Powerful Photo Project
The “I, Too, Am Harvard” photo campaign explores the diverse experience that black students at Harvard have to face. Here are 21 of the images. posted on March 3, 2014 at 12:06pm EST
A group of black students at Harvard are fed up with the institutional racism they say they have experienced, and are speaking out against it through a commanding photography project on Tumblr.
“Our voices often go unheard on this campus, our experiences are devalued, our presence is questioned,” the website says. “This project is our way of speaking back, of claiming this campus, of standing up to say: We are here.”
The play premieres Friday, March 7, but today a video teaser was released.
These are the stories we need to talk about, and about and about. if Republicans because of their hatred for this President want to continue to pay lots of money for health insurance then let them do so. I honestly think these Republicans could be drowning and Barack Obama could come by with a boat to rescue them and they would rather down.
No surprise how similiar GWB and his base of the ‘haves and have mores’ (e.g., Koch Bro) are with Yanukovych & Putin and their fellow kleptocrats.
One step before default: Yatsenyuk gives presentation on real state of Ukrainian economy
After participating in the TV program “Shuster Live” on March 28, Ukrainian premier-minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has shared his presentation on the Ukrainian economy’s state today. EuromaidanPR has translated this presentation.
CarolMae! Know each day it gets better! Be sure to take care of yourself. We had some spring snow yesterday. Today it rain, but I do feel Spring is here.
What a glorious optimist you are, Marilyn. I took a walk today in freezing cold rain, still bundled in my winter coat with scarves and thick gloves and I sort of decided that Spring was going to skip out on us this year. I would be overjoyed to be proven wrong.
What time is our President scheduled to return and is he going to have to land in this miserable weather? Thunderstorms predicted for the DC area this evening and it’s raining heavily. I hope he lands and gets to the WH safely.
I remember her from doing a #BlackKidsOurKidsOurFuture twitter run a few weeks back! After sharing a few ‘wonder’ kids under the hashtag, I finally realized I should (could) have used #BlackKidsAllKidsOurFuture, because that was the wider truth.
You go sister Dudette! These people don’t know who they are messing with! President Obama’s supporters, like you and many other people here at TOD, are some of the most brilliant people! Just compare the President, in pure overpowering motion, with that champ Putin sitting there in the water, being wet-nursed by the Dolphins. The question is: can Putin gracefully conquer the powerful waves?
Dudette is catching some JOB vibes with that poetry!
😀 😀 😀
Those smiley faces have VERY toothy grins…..a little scary! That was really fine poetry, Dudette…just sayin’
Thanks df! 😎
That was great, Dudette!!

Love it!!!!!!!!!!!
You and Dudette will have to have a poetry slam!
I concede. I am no match for JOB’s talent!
Sounds like rappin` Dudette 🙂
That’s kinda what I was going for! I doubt Jay-Z will be calling me anytime soon though! 🙂
I felt it girl !
LOL! Thanks!
Hi, hope everyone is doing well this cold, rainy Saturday afternoon.
Not cold and rainy here! It’s perfect weather…80’s and sunny:)
Lucky you today, df. Not cold here in east TN, but sure is gloomy, dreary and rainy. I am SOOOOOOOOOO ready for spring!
If I could send you some of our sunshine and warm weather, I sure would! You are so right, meta, those lines do look like voting lines. But this time is a matter of life and death!
As it was in 2012…..

Some people don’t understand that voting is also a matter of life and death.
Ms. Dudette, my point exactly. I know it was for me and most of us here.
Just look at benefits we are reaping, literally.
No. Fucking. Wars.
How are you Ms. Dudette?
Enjoying your beautiful pics of nature. Thank you so much.
Hanging in there LDS. Trying to fight off a cold, but otherwise just fine. Hope you are well. 🙂

LOL – if I were the young people I would take the beer AND still sign up! They’re probably doing just that. Win-win…. 🙂 🙂
Ugh. This group, generation opportunity, is the one I found out a nephew of mine seems proud to work for, as a training supervisor. I shall continue to pray his brain heals. It sickens me, actually.
You’re right Don! Take heart in the knowledge that in this the Repugs will ultimately fail!

Oh my…this is so true! We should devote a TOD “front page” to exposing the MSM’s bull. 🙂
EXCELLENT!
Awesome list!! All true!

Hiya Hopefruit, he’s scheduled to arrive at Andrews at 8:25 PM EST, but you know these trips, they can be a couple of hours either side!
Thanks Chips. Hopefully they will speed up the plane for an earlier arrival to get ahead of the storms. I hope…

#ACASurge weekend! So excited at the success of grassroots efforts.
Congrats to this amazing young lady. May she be successful in her law career or whatever path she chooses.
Terrific news! She must be absolutely brilliant. There will be no stopping this young woman and I hope we hear more about her in the future.
