Glad the President is safely on his way before the storm reaches the east coast. He and his girls are going to be on opposite sides of the globe!
I watched the CBS news feed of his landing on Marine One, then boarding Air Force One, and thought, “There goes the hope for the world.” And I believe it, he is the hope for the world.

“And I believe it, he is the hope for the world.”

With all of us firmly behind him, Carolyn.

Carolyn, bobfr, hf2, we are all on the same wavelength. So many of us have been moved on a Heart level by President Obama – by his love for his wife and family, by his honesty, by his ability to hold onto and project Hope. It feels as if it’s more than a belief by now, it feels as if we KNOW that somehow each of us has opened up (there are many here who were already open), responding to PBO, to FLOTUS and to each other in new ways, although we don’t know each other personally, we feel connected, we support and encourage each other, we stand fast for what is right all around the world. This is powerful stuff, this is like a love wave, and no one in their right mind would refuse to get on board! As soon as he said, “I Love You Back” to that member of the audience, he raised himself above the ordinary level of ‘politics’, and earned the trust of millions. When Piglet asked “how do you spell Love?”, Pooh replied, “you don’t spell Love, you feel it!”. I think that is what is happening now, in our lives because we are blessed, so many of us are Feeling Love, and Living each day in that vibration, the effects are being felt around the world. Language barriers fail, because Love supersedes all language. The human race is evolving, the pace quickens. Let us hope and pray we are in time to save what is left of this fragile planet, so we might live on to see a Golden Age of Peace envelope all.

{{{{{{{{{{ Love you so much, MightyPamela}}}}}}}}}}} You comment will carry us through out this journey with our great POTUS. Thank you for the reminder of the Candle Page.

I have mine lit through out the house as well: praying and thinking on good thoughts for our president during this trip and also for our First Lady and First Daughters and Grandmother Robinson.

May the grace of God give PBO the physical strength that he needs on this trip; the calmness to communicate with other world leaders; the firmness to carry out his duties with respect and firmness that he is capable of doing. May wisdom be granted to his brilliant mind, and compassion hold him up to face the serious challenges that are facing our world. Let him spread his joyful heart of grace, intellect, and caring with his staff and advisors on this trip and may they surround him with encouragement and a full support throughout his journey. Bless our pilots of Marine One and AF1 along with the entire crew during this trip with our President.. Give them wisdom, alertness, rest, and a full measure of grace in protection as they deliver our precious president from location to location. Be with the entire detail team for our President and comfort, and support them Almighty with wisdom, and alertness as they carry out their duties. We thank you for each one of them and their sacrifices to our nation. Be gracious to us, Almighty.

May the peace of a gracious spirit be with him daily as he represent his nation and know that there is a group of dedicated citizens who believe in him, trust him, and has his back.

We give thanks for his brilliant mind Almighty God, and are thankful for all graciousness to guide him, and protect him in all things. Our spaces are surrounding him with meditative prayers for all things good to come out of this trip for him and for our First Lady.
We loving pray with gratefulness for our president this evening.

Good night my TOD family. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ Thank you, our beautiful Chips and all of the beautiful contributors on TOD.}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Be gracious with your spirits and precious and loving in your space. I love you all so very much. As MightyPamela stated above in her beautiful way: I concur, we are One here at TOD, and our President gave us this beautiful opportunity to come together and become One with loving knowledge and loving respect. Thank you MightyPamela for reminding. Chips reminds us daily of how blessed we are to be a part of this great journey with such a wonderful and decent man, our 44th President of the United States. Where are the positive stories about Obamacare?
The millions of beneficiaries of the Affordable Care Act seem to be absent from the news media or political ad campaigns.

If there were fairness in this world, Rita Rizzo would be a media star.
Rizzo, 60, owns a management consulting firm for nonprofit groups and government offices in Akron, Ohio, with her husband, Lou Vincent, 64. Vincent, who suffers from Type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure, has gone without health insurance for 10 years. “We got 30 denial letters,” Rizzo told me last week.
Three years ago, Rizzo got a hip replacement. Her own insurance premiums were going to rise by $500 a month, to about $800, so she chose instead to triple her deductible to $6,000 to keep the increase to a mere $150 a month.

The couple used a $5,000 tax-deductible health savings account to cover her out-of-pocket expenses; Vincent’s medication, which ran to $178 a month; and his blood work-ups, at $2,400 a year.
In December, Rizzo signed up for Obamacare. She now has a policy that covers her and Vincent together, including all his meds and lab work, for $379 a month, with a $2,000 family deductible.
“I feel like I died and went to insurance heaven,” she says.

Some tweets from our new Ambassador. What a treat (and nerve-wracking pressure-cooker) to host the President almost immediately upon taking up a new post.

From Wikipedia: “On July 18, 2013, President Obama nominated Timothy M. Broas to become the next ambassador of the Netherlands, succeeding Fay Hartog-Levin, who had resigned in September 2011.[10] Broas, an attorney and philanthropist, was a major donor to President Obama’s campaigns. He was first nominated in April 2012, but withdrew his name in June after being arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. He subsequently plead guilty to the reduced charge of driving while impaired and was placed on probation.[11][12][13] Broas was finally appointed as the ambassador of the Netherlands in March 2014.[14]”

From Wikipedia on the focus of this year’s Nuclear Security Summit

“The 2014 summit will chart the accomplishments of the past two years, identifying which of the objectives set out in the Washington Work Plan and the Seoul Communiqué have not been met and proposing ways to achieve them.
The Netherlands, the organising country, will focus on the following achievable and visible goals:

    1. Optimal security for and, if at all possible, a reduction in the use of highly enriched uranium and plutonium.
    2. Ratification of the amended Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material by more countries to ensure that the amendment enters into force as soon as possible.
    3. More frequent reviews of state security structures by IAEA advisory missions.
    4. National registration and protection of highly radioactive sources (e.g. medical equipment).
    5. Greater role for industry in nuclear security, to enhance the security culture and existing regulations.
    6. States should provide information to their own people and the international community to demonstrate that they are taking appropriate measures to maintain the security of their nuclear material and facilities. These confidence-building measures will increase trust in the international protection system.”

tonight my hubby was watching the wretched Faux News and I almost fell off the bed as I heard Fos actually discussing the Russian invasion of Crimea and the Ukraine. They showed interviews with folks who said that they were against the Russian invasion and the interviewer was clear that this invasion was unprovoked.

I could not believe my ears and had to double check my eyesight. Was hesitant to look outside to see if pigs were in fact flying.
