Billionaire David Koch, a top financier of the Tea Party movement attached his name to the ballet, professing devotion to “The Nutcracker,” he made a matching grant of $2.5 million in order for it to go on this season.

At their special opening performance at the Brooklyn Academy of Music David Koch appeared to talk about his enormous donation. The Financial Times’ John Gapper of The Financial Times was in the audience while witnessing a crowd of “harried Brooklyn moms and salivating balletomanes” erupting in boos at the sight of the billionaire Tea Party supporter.

Once Mr Koch had left the stage, the booing stopped and the ballet started.”

This isn’t a first or news JonKarl. They’ve been doing things like this for the last few years. Trying to buy their way into every section of society. Heard at least one as a home in the Hampton’s. Does that apostrophe go there, spell-check says it does?

    • March 20, 2014 at 8:56 am

Jon Karl should have been fired (stll should be) for doctoring a Benghazi e-mail in an attempt to detroy President Obama. The mere fact this worthless piece sh#@ still represents ABC at WHPC is absolutely appalling.

Yes, Hf, and in an interview in Rolling Stone, Bill Gates said he had lunch with David Koch and thought he was a “very nice guy.” I almost gagged. Guess Koch has a ‘nice guy’ persona he brings out for fellow billionaires. The rest of us are so much dog meat to him.

        March 20, 2014 at 9:02 am

David Koch once said that his only friend outside family members was Chris Christie.

Just because you have lunch with someone does not mean you know what kind of person they are. You can be fool, I mean did Gates think David Koch was going to come to lunch acting all nasty and ugly, all disrespectful,no he will save that for those lying ads that he have on tv to keep poor, decent Americans from having good health care.

By Jon Karl’s logic, we should accept/ignore Catholic Church abuses/molestation of kids because the church has done some good things over the decades.

Have we heard if FLOTUS and the girls have landed safely in China? Did you know the Chinese kept their peonies a secret from the West because they are so beautiful? Hope they send a few as gifts home with the First Lady if they haven’t been given to the White House before. I’ll see if I can find an example. Happy Spring to all!

People can stop fretting about the possibility of PBO dancing on Ellen. He won’t be in studio with her. He is appearing on a feed from the WH. But still—–I could never figure out the critics of his dancing——–I would like to see their so much more awesome dance style and their dance trophies—–because I very much appreciated his cool moves——and decided he can swing and sway on my dance floor any day. 🙂

You all must see/read this – it will have you all ROTFLMAO-ing!!!

HEADLINE: RNC’s embarrassing new ad campaign: Meet Scott, the cool young Republican!

// Can millennials be convinced to care about job creators? Maybe this guy in a leather jacket and glasses can do it. Everyone knows how hard it can be to market to millennials. Today’s young Americans are wise to the traditional tricks of the pitchman. But one thing this generation responds to is sincerity. The best way to reach them is with an earnest, honest message from someone they can identify with. For a great example of what professional marketers think that means, take a look at this brilliant new ad campaign from the Republican National Committee. Meet Scott Greenberg, totally identifiable millennial guy who also happens to be a Republican: //

      March 20, 2014 at 9:14 am

Well, that convinced me! I’m switching to Repub! I want to be cool like Scott (ewwww) and want the rich to become richer so they can trickle on me!

      March 20, 2014 at 9:33 am

OMG! What a crock’ “I’m a Republican because we should have an all of the above energy policy” Yet their actual policy is “Driill Baby Drill” and the President’s actual words were that we need all of the above.

This is their new version of “Jobs, jobs, jobs!” Once again, their strategy is to lie about what they stand for in order to get votes, then screw over the people who elect them. Ugh, I’m so disgusted by these lying bastards!

I see Fortune did not have PBO on their list of top 50 leaders—–instead had Bill Clinton, Derek Jeter, Bono etc. Unbelievable.

It won’t hurt one way or the other because truth to tell in one week if that long nobody is going to remember it. Not even the people that put together the list.

In line with a NYTimes front page story today concern trolling the future of ACA. Times still pretending that Obamacare may not be the greatest piece of social legislation and a Permanent Positive Legacy for POTUS.

The Times are M—–f—ers addicted to their schadenfreude.

Don’t worry Vicki, I’m sure there were jackasses papers around like the NYT in the days when Social Security and Medicare came out and those papers were saying the exact same thing about Medicare and S.S.

Wow. Fortune is seeking attention….BUZZ….Another of Many Insults engineered by many in the Media since Jan 20, 2009. Once again, very predictable. Vindictive. And other way of their misguided schemes to Remove pres Obama from the History books. He won Twice and with the most Voters ever cast for any president in 2008 and 2012 respectively. The History Books Can’t undo that.

So I woke up yhis morning and said to myself, “Self, it is the first day of Spring. You have survived this miserable Winter.” Then trotted downstairs to let the dog out and lo and behold, it is snowing. Will only be about 1/2 inch which will all melt in a couple hours, but it is the principle of the thing. Have I mentioned yet how much I have hated this Winter?
