I always notice that Mondays are real slow getting off the ground, not here specifically, but everywhere on the ‘internets’. I think that is especially so today after the time switch. People are drowsy.
Is that why one of my clocks was an hour ahead?
We don’t observe daylight savings so our time stays the same. One of our clocks automatically updated when it shouldn’t of, I guess.
PBO and babies—-the BEST way to start the day. And it’s always instructive to see that natural, happy reaction babies instinctively have with President Obama.
My initial tidbit—–I can’t believe there is no news about the missing plane, everyone calling it an “unprecedented mystery” and describing the disappearance as “into thin air”. All the possible oil slick and debris sightings were not related. U.S. satellite shows no mid-air explosion. No nothing.
Why wouldn’t EVERY plane have a GPS on every major plane part as well as the black box and a GPS connected to a self-opening parachute type of vehicle? Craziness.
I am with you. I’ve noticed the lack of drumbeat news around this mystery. How can a plane vanish without a trace in the 21st Century with all the advances in technology? Moreover, when I think of the relatives of the passengers, my heart gets cold. What a nightmare! Lastly, I don’t like the fact that there were 2 passengers with stolen passports on board. That’s a bad omen. I hope we find out very soon, where the plane (or its remnant) is.
This is a major tragedy and like Chips, I can’t believe with today’s technology, they cannot trace the aircraft. I guess there’s no news interest in the plane because the media (US and BBC World) cannot trace it back to PBO, unfortunately. I’m only half joking.
Hopefruit, you have a point. If the missing aircraft could be tied somehow to the WH, the media and the right wing specs would be all over it… until Benghazi.
Linda, in the future please add a warning in advance of a post like “Darrell-issa-dancing”. I mean, my heart is strong, but with repeated assaults like that on it, it can start showing signs of distress. I hope someone close to Issa would tell him to focus on his fake investigations; dancing should never be an undertaking by him. What a strange and bizarre posture on the floor. The Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, released Monday, found that 15.9 percent of U.S. adults are uninsured thus far in 2014, down from 17.1 percent for the last three months — or calendar quarter— of 2013.
That translates roughly to 3 million to 4 million people getting coverage.
Gallup said the share of Americans who lack coverage is on track to drop to the lowest quarterly level it measured since 2008, before Obama took office.

The government’s use of any data is Pure Evil All The Time to these loons, but it’s completely innocent if the data miners do it.

Gee, imagine if they’d put that energy into selling progressivism as ‘progress’ – steps in the right direction. Or put any of that energy into supporting PBO and moving us in the right direction.

Anyhooooo, agree 100% with this tweet. The set design of Carcosa was amazing and also bone chilling. I’m never going to look at flowers as innocent objects again. Beer cans represent something sinister. Trees are places where evil is committed. Homes are structures where depraved and occult gatherings take place. Birds and their nests are instruments of death. Even the color yellow has sinister meaning behind it.
Bravo to Alex DiGerlando. He was the production designer on Beasts of the Southern Wild (a fantastic and beautiful movie) and was the perfect choice for True Detective. This show like Breaking Bad won’t leave me for a very long time. A+ on every level.
Did anyone hear about the interview the father of the guy who kill those 20 kids and six teachers in Connecticut school. The father did a interview with the New Yorker about his son and what it has been like since what happen.

She should have never been plucked out of Alaska for national consumption—–should have been left there to fade into the wilderness, to just inflict her harm on the native wildlife there (sorry mooses). I’m sure they can blame him because Malaysia didn’t check those stolen passports – probably a failing by the IRS, the FBI or NSA
They will fine out about the missing plane, I believe they will. It may take some time but they will.
