Great tweet Bob! Your crisp and truthful message is the message Democrats in Congress should be pounding every day. May be I’ve missed the news, but I’ve yet to hear a Democratic member of Congress challenge and shame McCain, Graham, Rubio, etc., for their unpatriotic attacks on President Obama in the midst of a serious, potentially dangerous, international crisis.

      • March 5, 2014 at 2:03 am

Nath, I’ve yet to hear any of them challenge the treachery directed at our President and, thereby, our Nation.

        Thank you!

You are most welcome, Bob! I truly wish and hope that your no nonsense tweets, which spread truthful information, are reaching millions of Americans. It’s really sad to know and listen to right wingers (GOP) who either mis-informed or are programed by the mainstream (corporate) media to believe in sensationalism and outright lies. I truly admire your tenacity at making sure people know the Truth of how the GOP has been so focused on destroying President Obama, irrespective of the harm that would do to all Americans.

BTW, this is what the Ukrainian Navy had to say about Putin’s ‘shop’ comment:

“The Ukrainian Navy warships Ternopil and Slavutych, which are moored in Sevastopol Bay, are currently blocked by warships and vessels of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, and they are all carrying detachments of marines numbering up to a platoon. They are armed with automatic weapons and equipped accordingly.

Bearing in mind the remarks of Mr. Putin that such gear and equipment can be bought in any shop, we would like to seize the moment and ask which shop – as well as where one can purchase automatic weapons, pistols and grenade launchers in violation of Ukrainian legislation? We also would like to recall that no unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces deployed in Crimea gave up even a single inch of the territory of their military bases or the weapons entrusted to them, let alone in such quantity, as all units remained faithful to the call of duty and their oath to the Ukrainian nation.”

    Revolutionizing healthcare:

Poll: Lot of early love for ballot measure capping CEO pay
A while back we told you that while DC TALKS about income equality, Californians are likely going to get the chance to VOTE on it in November. And we just got a peek at what might be in store should one measure that would cap the pay of hospital CEOs make it to the ballot.

Our snap, armchair conclusion: If this poll is the least bit predictive, it will soon be a lot less lucrative to be the CEO of a nonprofit hospital in California.

A poll — commissioned by the SEIU, a principal backer — of 1,160 likely November voters shows that 70 percent of the respondents favored capping hospital CEO pay at $450,000, a number so chosen because that’s what the President of the U.S. is currently paid.

Just unbelievable – the number of CEOs who earn millions – go home each night – blame their staff when something goes wrong – while the man with all the responsibility in the world is paid $450,000.

CEOs are NOT entrepreneurs – they risk nothing of their own – only other folks money. They are the absolute 100% reason why the income gap has become so wide – why the middle class have lost their salaries, their benefits and their pensions.

Since I lived through Stalin (the butcher of Georgia) Beria (head of the KGB) Krushchev (the butcher of the Ukraine) and the Cold War was part of my life for over half of it, that picture of the Red Army Chorus with McCain, etc imposed, brings back horrible memories. Having lived through that era, I do NOT know how any loyal American can align himself with a leader of Russia. And yes, I know it is no longer a Soviet country, but the practices and tenets are not changed. This to me is disloyalty of the worst kind. McCain, Giuliani, and Graham lived through that era too and should know better. Absolutely disgusting.

        Yep. A runoff. DAMN

Great posts and comments. Really, really excellent. It’s late for me and I’m tired. Just wanted to give you a link to a Reuter’s article about the budget. It has a lot of links to articles that look good. I scanned the links, but too tired to read them right now. Looked like some very good explanations.

And of course, the White House has incredible resources as always.

Night everyone. As always, it’s a pleasure, not only to visit, but to know that you are here creating this informative, loving community of Obama appreciators.

Evil only exists in the known universe in one form factor – humans. Our President exposes the evil in humanity because he inspires the vast majority of humanity to strive for ever greater goodness.

Without doubt, he & we will prevail.

Hi Susanne – the job of Sec of State is surely the 2nd most stressing in the US – forever in the crisis areas. I hope the meeting goes well.

Thank you Susanne for sharing this. Lets hope sane people in Russia are telling their belligerent President, V. Putin, to calm down. I also hope they are telling him that it’s senseless to provoke a crisis that will not end well for him or for Russia. Let me also hope that the American people will gain a new appreciation President Obama and his team for refusing to panic, or be pressured into taking irrational and non productive actions just to appease their critics. President Obama does not have to answer to Insecure war mongers, like John McCain, Lindsey Graham and clueless media people like Chuck Todd, David Gregory who think that to be considered a strong President you have to be a warmonger like Putin!

It is so good knowing that President Obama is our president.
Thank you SoS Kerry for all the hard work and sacrifices you have to endure.
We are truly grateful for this Administration in times like this.

When I think about where we would be if McCain and Romney were “playing house” our sons and daughters would still be in a war, packing up to go to another, unnecessary bood shed, lives loss…….I do not take this moment for granted.

Thank you God for hearing our prayers.

New Stonekettle post – brilliant as usual…

Face, prestige, that’s what this is all about.

That’s what these people are really afraid of, that unless we attack, unless we unleash yet another ill-conceived war, unless we charge pell-mell into yet another conflict and leave several thousands more of our best and brightest dead on the battlefield, unless the world fears us, either our military might or our insanity, why, men like John McCain and Lindsey Graham will have to hang their heads in shame.
