On This Day: President Obama stands by a cut-out picture of First Lady Michelle Obama during a visit to Miami Central High School in Miami, Fla., March 4, 2011 (Photo by Pete Souza)
Here is the clip I mentioned yesterday when Christian Armanpour went after Blitzer and Stephen Cohen….Wolf gets all defensive..Katrina’s hubby sides with Russia……..laughs
Right there- Wolf Blitzer BS is why I cannot watch television news.. I would have shot my tv sets repeatedly by now. He’s an idiot.. he repeats what the Russian Ambassador says.. gives ZERO facts to support it. This constant repeating of the Ukraine’s as fascists and Natzi’s by the media via a Russian official’s “report” should be totally suspect at all times.. and yet here is Wolf Blitzer on CNN not questioning it whatsoever.
There are some people I can NOT stand to watch and Wolf is one of them, Chuck Todd, Luke Russert, David Gregory, most of the folks on CNN, Morning joke.
US Ambassador To The UN Samantha Power Just Ripped Into Russia At A Security Council Meeting

Let’s begin with a clear and candid assessment of the facts.
It is a fact that Russian military forces have taken over Ukrainian border posts. It is a fact that Russia has taken over the ferry terminal in Kerch. It is a fact that Russian ships are moving in and around Sevastapol. It is a fact that Russian forces are blocking mobile telephone services in some areas. It is a fact that Russia has surrounded or taken over practically all Ukrainian military facilities in Crimea. It is a fact that today Russian jets entered Ukrainian airspace. It is also a fact that independent journalists continue to report that there is no evidence of violence against Russian or pro-Russian communities.
Russian military action is not a human rights protection mission. It is a violation of international law and a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the independent nation of Ukraine, and a breach of Russia’s Helsinki Commitments and its UN obligations.
Good morning. Had to check out yesterday because I’d reached the limit of fatigue and endurance. After an exhausting weekend of meetings, babysitting, travel and lousy weather, then more meetings on Monday that included an argument with a Hillary supporter, my reserves hit empty. The anti-American press and GOP were the last straw. Weather is still bleak, pundits and the GOP are still both stupid and traitorous and the breathless Hillary predictions still annoy me, but I’ve gotten a good night sleep, so the internal reserve tank is filling up again. Going to take a big breath today, draw strength from my love and support of our president and press on. Spring is getting closer (maybe), we have the best and most brilliant leader in the world and life goes on. Hope everyone has a great day!
Jackie, I believe that we live in the same general geographic area. This weather is making me a little wacky at this point. Most certainly it has sapped my patience. I engaged a cousin of mine on Facebook this morning who was defending Romney (of all people) and she was calling PBO a liar. Don’t have time for any of that…so I called her out. I need an aspirin and some vitamin D……
Grace, I think this winter is intended to try our souls. Since Christmas, we have had one decent day when it was both sunny and over 40. I had to drive to the DC area to see grass because snow covers every inch of ground around here. Like all natural beings, we need sun and light to thrive and gain our strength. The crazies are out in full force this week and we’ll just have to deal with it. I don’t even breathe politics to most of my relatives because I want to go on loving and respecting them. Sad, but that’s what we’ve become in the USA–a nation of partisans. It used to be that an international crisis would bring both sides together in support of their country. But that’s no more.
The words of Pogo cartoonist, Walt Kelly, have never been truer. In the US, we have met the enemy and it is us. Americans shooting at each other is a greater threat than international terrorism in the name of which we fought a costly and stupid war in Iraq and sacrificed the stability of our economy. But for gun terrorism, we do nothing.
Houdini and Copperfield as they are both escape artists running around the yard. We have made the fence higher and it still doesn’t keep them inside the pen.
Jimmy Fallon and The Roots (with classroom instruments) accompany Idina Menzel, or as John Travolta calls her “Adele Hazeem”, singing the Oscar winning song “Let It Go”, which has become a girls’ anthem around the world, by the way. (I still can’t believe Travolta made up a name in his introduction at the Oscars—–shouldn’t he have read thru his intro before the big night???) (now a site where you can have your name Travoltified)
Good Morning Chips, Danny & All.
Mooooooorning Roberta!

Bringing this over.
Good Morning.

So a mild debate, expression of a opposing view, or even a reprimand that “journalistic” integrity should be exercised is termed a civil war?!?!?!?

Good Morning early birds – had to check out TOD to find out the world news – our local news seems to think we are too far away to be bothered.
Our PM is passing legislation that has NO chance of passing the Senate – funny that – wonder if his middle name is Boehner
Good Tuesday Chipsticks…Everyone!!!

Love you Grace for standing up for our President. Peace to you.
On internal gun violence
http://wickershamsconscience.wordpress.com/2014/03/03/firearm-violence-thinking-about-the-butchers-bill/
“The terrorist attacks on on the New York Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 resulted in 2,996 deaths. More than 6,000 were injured. Firearms cause cause death and injury at the rate of about three (3) September 11s each year.”

What did Travolta do? I didn’t see the Oscars.
Introduced Idina as someone else.
Well, that was fun as was Jimmy’s Polar Plunge into Lake Michigan with his suit on, but I still wanted U2 to win to Oscar for their Mandela song.
Good West Coast morning Chipsticks & TOD family.
I’m having to actually work this week 😦
Where’s Jovie??
Morning!! Don’t look now GOPoop….
