Well, so glad everybody gets to vote. What this shows me is that white men are signing their own death warrants. They need to open up and live in at least the present time, and look to the future. I can say this as a white woman married to a wonderful white man, who does not fit in this vote total!

This information shows that the G-8 leaders appear to support President Obama’s approach to the situation and it’s giving the people of Ukraine and it’s military support.

      Hi Liberal Librarian,

      Happy Sunday to you!

It’s okay, you were just keeping it real; as we are all endowed with an array of emotions that comes out when triggered.

Have a wonderful day; can’t wait to read your post.

Just think how much more of a moral stance the US could take in this issue if we had not had the nightmarish, war-mongering years of Bush/Cheney and the military industrial complex on steroids. Our dear PBO’s work has been made much harder because he has had to clean-up the mess of the previous 8 years. The good thing for us is that he is the man/leader for this particular season. I have felt safer and more hopeful for our and the world’s future because of him. While I am deeply concerned about Putin’s unwarranted aggression in the Ukraine, I am not in despair. We have a great team of smart, strong, committed citizens who have a great understanding of the world and the nuances of diplomacy led by a brilliant courageous leader who many times has crafted a way when there seemed there was not one. Good to see that the UK, Canada, and France are standing in solidarity. I wonder what is the hold up with the other members of the G-8.

Good Morning my Chips and TOD family. Thank you NerdyW for another informative and great post. Your dedication is so precious as all of our brilliant contributors here in our family. TY, TY and TY.

We will get through this season of decisions with our great leader, our wonderful President, Barack Obama. He keeps his compass straight and steady no matter the currents. We will keep him close to our heart space with powerful words of encouragement, prayers for wisdom, and loving words in our meditational moments. Keep you lights firmly burning so others may get a little light of hope during this time. We have weathered many trials as a nation, and I count it a blessing to be alive and knowing that a calm, firm, brilliant, compassionate, and fair leader is in the Oval Office.

Everyone have a wonderful Sunday and enjoy your space and say the words often while in that space, “I thank you for……” ((((Love you all so much.))))))))HZ

Your words are always sooooooooo BEAUTIFUL and CALMING. Couldn’t agree with you more. I have “NO” doubts; President Obama “got this.” The media has gone crazy…as usual, but the storm is calm with President Obama in charge.

Enjoy your space and have a SPLENDID DAY!

With these clowns…..war is always the answer. Everyone wants to tell the President how to do his job. They would be pleased to see another war, and more lives lost, if it guarantees them a new headline, and another reason to blame the President for something.

Correct. And, No part of Ukraine will ‘go easy,’ Vicki. The ONLY reason lots of folk aren’t already dead in Crimea, including Russian soldiers, is because the Ukrainian Government has been exceptionally restrained. That restraint will not last much longer if Putin keeps pushing.

Friends, as many of you know, Charles Gaba (aka Brainwrap: http://acasignups.net/ ) has on his own time put together an ongoing data base and web page to document the enrollments of Americans in Obamacare or ACA both in private insurance and expanded Medicaid, as well as the 3 plus mil young adults enrolled in their parents insurance thanks to the ACA.

An important announcement was made last week from Health and Human Services which makes it possible for persons to enroll directly with insurance companies who offer qualified health plans also offered on state exchanges and to qualify for the same tax credit subsidies they would through the exchanges. (see below) This will enhance enrollment and incentivize the ins. companies to do more outreach and advertisement during the month of March. It is important that these enrollments are captured and documented. So, if any of you have access to state insurance commissioner offices or insurance companies actively participating in this effort you are invited to share any information of this type with Charles Gaba. His personal e-address is: Charles Gaba Charles is doing this effort on his own time. He has a day job and a family. Yet he has become the foremost expert in the country on ACA enrollments through his volunteer efforts, cited by NYTimes, Wash. Post and other publications, and columnists (Paul Krugman). He is helping the Obamacare effort and anything you can do, including donations, and sending information is most important.

    **********************************
“Yes, that’s correct: If this goes through as planned, potentially millions of people who enroll directly through the insurance companies (instead of via the ACA exchanges) will still qualify for tax credits.

This means that tracking down those direct, off-exchange enrollments just became even more vitally important to seeing a full picture of the total number of people covered by private insurance policies.

To that end, I’m looking for people to help out with the following:

Contacting the office of your State Insurance Commissioner (if your state has one) to see if they have this data and whether they’re willing to publicize it, or
Contacting the public/media relations representative of any of the insurance companies operating in your state to see if they have it and are willing to publicize it
The former (insurance commission office) would be more ideal, since I’m really more interested in a state-by-state breakdown than trying to piece together a bunch of companies, but I’ll take either. Also, insurance commission offices are presumably going to be more forthcoming with this data than private insurance companies, who tend to only release it if they’re required to or if doing so would serve their business interests.”

Indeed Bill. Mr. Gaba is doing amazing work aggregating and disseminating ACCURATE, data-driven info on the ACA. We appreciate his efforts and he deserves whatever assistance people are able to give. The MSM can’t compete with the likes of Charles Gaba and other ACA volunteers such as yourself and Tally!! 🙂

Republicans love the military and war, and the money from their friends, military contractors.

Bush and Putin have been friends?
Now Putin wants to start war, or make like he is.
What part do Koch Brothers and their ilk have in this?

    Ukraine: The Haze of Propaganda

    Timothy Snyder

    —————————–

From Moscow to London to New York, the Ukrainian revolution has been seen through a haze of propaganda. Russian leaders and the Russian press have insisted that Ukrainian protesters were right-wing extremists and then that their victory was a coup.
    .
    .
Whatever course the Russian intervention may take, it is not an attempt to stop a fascist coup, since nothing of the kind has taken place. What has taken place is a popular revolution, with all of the messiness, confusion, and opposition that entails. The young leaders of the Maidan, some of them radical leftists, have risked their lives to oppose a regime that represented, at an extreme, the inequalities that we criticize at home. They have an experience of revolution that we do not. Part of that experience, unfortunately, is that Westerners are provincial, gullible, and reactionary.

I think Secretary Kerry’s statement on This Week on ABC via Twitter is very telling: “This is not East-West, #US & Europe versus #Russia. This is about people of #Ukraine fighting against tyranny.” We should all try to keep that in mind, at this early phase. I’m (not ever planning on) looking at you, John McCain.
