As soon as I get through year end audits and tax season I am going to get more active with OFA again. A lot of my fellow OFA partners are at this event today doing phenomenal grassroots work.

OMG, Joe Conason felt fit to favorite this tweet. And really, now Markos is finally trying to rein in the cray cray.

I’ve been perusing the site the last couple of days. I noticed a lot of high fiving to Greenwald and Snowden and a few creepy conspiracy laden theories against the administration. I didn’t even bother reading them because many of the Kossacks are SO far out there . It was quite funny to see Markos’ diary calling them out and sorta setting them straight . I’m sure they think the NSA made Markos write that though.

    • February 25, 2014 at 6:50 pm

Bills like these will pass the house…but will die in the Senate….

another reason why we must add to our total in the house and increase our margin in the Senate….

do you remember Nancy Pelosi’s plan to increase DEM numbers in the house….do you know where we stand with that plan

Hi All, been so busy have not had time to do much lurking, anything momentous happened while I have been so busy? How is GoB and all those who are not well, still have you all on my prayer list, hope to catch up (maybe, hopefully) on all the happenings, hope everyone is busy getting ready for election season, there is no time to waste we need to help PBO accomplish most if not all of his agenda.

Sometimes I just get truly overwhelmed when I think about how much PBO, his team and all of us together have accomplished over these last 5 years. WOW. Just think about where we were back in 2008, on the brink of destruction with liars and thieves in the WH.

Lovely comment meta – sometimes I get upset that too many have tried too hard to stop PBO achieving – so I need to see it differently and you have so easily seen what I have missed – thank you 🙂

      • February 25, 2014 at 6:52 pm

I guess it’s within the context of this overwhelming, angry, misguided, racist resistance that it feels especially amazing to see what PBO has done. But I do really step back and see so, so, so much has changed, for the better. President Obama is the best person for this job and the best thing to happen to this country in these times. Amazing human being.

The media is so busy trying to make an issue of Clinton’s campaigning in Kentucky for his personal friend Grimes (in order to take a cheap shot at PBO), that they ironically fail to mention that PBO is more popular in Kentucky than the Republican Mitch McConnell is in his own home state.

But seriously, the media needs to give it up and they will come to regret that foolish “Dems-running-away-from-PBO” meme that they are trying to start. I guess when Grimes is trailing McConnell ) at the last moment, and the tried-and-true trio of PBO/FLOTUS/Biden is called in to save the day, the media will go as silent as they did during the McAuliffe campaign?

Meet the man who forced Ukraine’s president to run for his life

“To the dismay of opposition leaders, Parasiuk’s emotional address – he broke down on several occasions as he remembered dead comrades – touched a chord deep within the thousands on Independence Square who roared their approval.

The opposition had failed to sell their achievements to the ‘Maidan’, the name for both the square and the protest movement. An agreement, painstakingly negotiated with EU foreign ministers over a sleepless night, was effectively dead.

The writing was on the wall for Yanukovich.

He flew out of Kiev by helicopter that night, Ukraine’s acting interior minister said, and on Tuesday was on the run somewhere in Ukraine, being sought for “mass murder”.”

If I recall, this is the same fellow who had arrogantly tweeted some nonsense about PBO – when he should have known better. I hope he gets a reality check….

Yup! 🙂 I wish everyone could do their Let’s move video and send it in, and then a nominated network could all air a 2-hr MEGA segment featuring Let’s move videos, which ends with PBO and VP Biden showing America how they move.

Well, my daughter-in-love is Latino and I am teaching her. The younger generation has no clue. They are not interested in dancing old school. I love to dance any dance because of the exercise.
As long as you are having fun and you feel good whoever is looking at you are not dancing themselves. Just get up and do your own thing. Who cares whose moves are the best. The whole objective here is to JUST MOVE.

I have always wanted to ask Mario why his mother collects Aunt Jemimah artifacts? Just curios……
My Aunt did the same and her reason was “Because it was a negative stereotype that gave birth to Black and white alike and she was proud of the person not the image. “

Let me say, A. Mourning gets a A for trying, but he is terrible. Lopez is a good dancer, remember him being on Dancing with he Stars. And FLOTUS is gets a B-, maybe a B+ cause she’s FLOTUS. The kids gets a A 🙂

This is what I can call change to believe in:

The founder of liberation theology, the Latin American-inspired Catholic theology advocating for the poor, has received a hero’s welcome at the Vatican as the once-criticized movement continues its rehabilitation under Pope Francis.

The Rev. Gustavo Gutierrez was the surprise speaker Tuesday at a book launch featuring the head of the Vatican’s orthodoxy office, Cardinal Gerhard Mueller; one of Francis’ top advisers, Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga; and the Vatican spokesman.

For those of you not raised in the Church, liberation theology was something which John Paul II and his enforcer, the future Benedict XVI, went in with the intention to destroy, equating it with communism. In the Catholic ideological wars, this is a BFD.
