PBO has said…that progress is not made in a straight line…that there are bumps…and lumps….It is my hope that those 600+ workers continue the struggle…

no one has done more to stop the complete plutocratic takeover of the american system of government than president barack hussein obama. maybe one of these days, pierce and his white privileged friends will wake up and realize what we’re truly dealing with here, and stop holding america’s first black president to an impossible standard.

the plutocrats completely took over the mainstream “news” some 20-30 years ago, and those workers today who voted against unionizing have quite literally never been exposed to economic and political fact. they don’t have the time or inclination to find alternatives to the mainstream “news,” and think “the news” is a trusted source of information, so they never think to seek out a place such as here.

it’s a slow process, but i think we can win people like this back if we’re able to keep enough control to bring about massive positive change and “the news” can’t possibly spin it negatively toward liberals. As long as president obama is able to pass the torch to someone else who understands this and has the ability to fire up 10s of millions (elizabeth warren in my opinion), we’ll be able to do this. If 2014 doesn’t go as well as we want, or 2016 ushers in another plutocratic mouthpiece such as hillary clinton or any republican, we’ll be set back generations. 2014 and 2016 are fantastically important elections.

Forget the newsstainers. Don’t they have their own miserable life/work experience to guide them on this crucial vote? PBO can only do so much.

This and the effing san diego mayoral election makes me mad.

      Pierce is on the money.

And when politicians lie and lie and lie – and they still vote for them – because – well at $20 an hour they are so above the poor earning only $7.50 an hour. When even the workers vote for the GOP and against their own – there is no place to go.

I’m amazed that they have NO understanding of how much the President and the unions have fought for them – yet they only think of their own small moment in time. pffft

At my college I was talking to an Iranian student and he told me that he likes Obama. He’s not Muslim, Bauhi I believe, not sure how it’s spelled. He’s pretty liberal all around actually. As a matter of fact most Iranians I’ve met so far are really nice people and rather reasonable.

Am grateful to NW for posting Ellen Page’s courageous and inspiring video.

Have been thinking these past several days how to convey a message to Secretary Clinton and Ellen Page’s video coalesced the message:

As those of you know who have read previous tweets and comments from me, I’m determined to urge Ms Clinton (and even her husband) to consider how redemptive it would be to spend from now until 4 Nov 2014 doing everything (which is actually a lot) they can to elect DEMS to the US Senate, House, as well as, State, County and Municipal Governments.

Their legacies would be greatly embellished if they did … they might even be happier with themselves.

Won’t be the last time my meager efforts to prod them will appear on Twitter and here 🙂

I wonder if Pat Buchanan or Michele Bachmann could talk to God to find out why Georgia got hit with a snowstorm and an earthquake in the same week. My money’s on “refusal to expand Medicaid” but they won’t like that answer, so they’ll make up some shit. 😀

But the manager still asked him to leave, and he went outside to wait while his friend finished shopping, completely unprotected! He stood outside in the subzero weather, texting his friends and “telling them that I felt my rights had been violated and asking them about my options.” And look at how he suffered because of the manager’s unreasonable fears:

“The cold had numbed my arms and severely restricted the movement of my hands and fingers. If I had needed to draw my weapon in the Pick ’N Save parking lot, I would have been unsuccessful.”

The term numb nutz is coined for these guyz.

Haven’t played my favorite Sade joint in a while 🙂

I’m still dreaming that one day one of you TOD video gurus will put together a slideshow of our favorite couple to this music. Just a thought.
