A Valentine’s Prayer of Gratefulness for The Obama Diary Family and Friends

There are moments when we smile and the whole world smiles back; moments of joy that can’t be contained and we share it with everyone.
There are moments when we are sad because our loads are heavy, and we feel that we are all alone and no one really cares. Then, a spark lights up our day, and a treasure of gratefulness opens the spirit of our soul, and we can smile again, even if it’s just for a little while.

I am grateful on this beautiful Valentine’s Day because the same amount of energy that we use to be unhappy, is the same amount that is required to be happy. I am grateful that Chipsticks created this beautiful community for President Obama’s supporters; believing in a new day and paving the way for a new and more deliberate future. Thank you Chipsticks and HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! Happy Valentine’s Day Danny Boy!

I am grateful for the beautiful souls that supports and lend their intellectual minds to TOD; keeping all of us informed with “real news” that matters, packed with truths, and giving us some of the most beautiful and breath taking pictures that leave many in awe. Thank you Liberal Librarian, Nerdy Wonka, Bobfr and so many others who are supporting Chipsticks and TOD with their work. HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

I pray that Gobrooklyn will recover in full. Dear God, we love Gobrooklyn, please touch her and heal her and give her a full recovery from the cancer that has settled in her body. You are able to do all things, and on this Valentine’s Day, give her a special touch of your healing in Jesus name. Amen

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY Gobrooklyn! Sending healing prayers and energy your way.

Happy Valentine’s Day and continued recovery for No Child Left Behind, Tnmtngirl, Dudette’s brother, CarolMaeWY and MelaTX. I pray for your full recovery in Jesus name. MelaTX, your dark place will soon be a place of beautiful bright lights. Please don’t give up and don’t give in, you will laugh again.

To the TOD family and community, I pray that your challenges, if you have some, will melt away. I pray that all will have a joyful and beautiful day. I pray that no one is feeling lonely, even if you are alone on this special day; someone loves you, someone cares, and someone believes that your best days are ahead of you and not behind you. Now, you must believe.

Happy Valentine’s Day to our four legged family members that give us joy; Vespa, Maggie, Mr. Nickelby, Kasper and Miss pretty girl Pearl and Chanel.

I am grateful because I woke up this morning, and I have an opportunity to pray for all and wish the best for all. HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY TOD FAMILY and FRIENDS!

    Valentine’s Day Blessings,

Wait a minute, this is something for “ME”.

    Dems campaigning on Obamacare

At least two Democrat use the Affordable Care Act as a positive in their campaign, enrollment increases. Joy Reid

    joins Lawrence O’Donnell.

Well, LH, they damned well better campaign on Obamacare in PA. We are lagging far behind other states and Corbett’s version of extending Medicaid is to enrich the pockets of his friends. He’s GOT to go.

Over 1 Million Added to Rolls of Health Plan

“The case for repeal is infinitely harder now that people actually have coverage,” said Dan Pfeiffer, a senior adviser to the president, who added that the increased momentum of enrollment documented in Wednesday’s report gives the advantage to Democrats. “A message of ‘elect me so I can take health care away from my soon-to-be constituents’ is a dead-bang loser.”

Good morning everyone. Have a great Valentine’s Day, even if you treat yourself. We’ve got a busy day of exercise, lunch with a dear friend and then our own special Valentine’s Day celebration. The sun is out today and the white stuff is more blinding than ever, but we’re starting the day with a truly balmy 29 degrees. I do so long for green grass.

The state Department of Environment and Natural Resources and Duke Energy have been ordered by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Raleigh to turn over all relevant emails, memos and reports from 2010 through the Feb. 2 spill.”

Apparently, there is no low CNN won’t sink to for ratings. People are working hard to stop the fight and what does CNN do? Give Trayvon Martin’s killer the spotlight. My heart breaks for Trayvon Martin’s family. Everywhere they turn, they have to be confronted with the monster who killed their child. Chris Cuomo gets to go home and hug his kids at night. Sybrina Fulton and Tracy don’t.

This is heartless and thank goodness people aren’t keeping silent. A monster killed an innocent child because he didn’t like the color of his skin and CNN thinks this is the way to honor Trayvon Martin. There truly are some sick people in this world.

Major Droughts in Drying West; Fracking a Water Hog and Causes Drought…

Almost half (47%) of all U.S. wells are being developed in regions with high to extremely high water stress. This means that more than 80 percent of the annual available water is already allocated to municipal, industrial and agricultural users in these regions.

The irony of fracking: It destroys the natural resource it needs most. The tragedy for those living nearby fracking operations: That natural resource is the fresh—and increasingly scarce—water supply on which they, too, depend.

And not only does fracking—or hydraulic fracturing—demand enormous amounts of fresh water no matter where it takes places, a troubling new study released Wednesday found that a majority of places where the controversial drilling technique is most prevalent are the same regions where less and less water is available.

“Sometime today, we’re expected to find out whether the workers in that Chattanooga, Tenn., Volkswagen plant have decided to unionize. I hope very much that they didn’t let Sen. Bob Corker’s intimidation campaign—which strikes me as a possible violation of the Wagner Act, a point to which I’ll return—scare them out of voting yes.”

Sen Corker lied – Volkswagen is NOT against the union

In the past few weeks, Volkswagen officials have made several statements that the vote will have no bearing on whether the SUV will be made at the Chattanooga plant or at a plant in Puebla, Mexico.

Happy Friday! Happy Valentine’s Day! If you didn’t get to read this yesterday….not too late to read it today:)

political journalists turned their focus away from being the source of information to become analysts of the power game. Voters/citizens are objectified via the assumption that we are merely the field on which these games are played.

This is why Chuck Todd can so blithely claim that its not his job to call out the lies being told about Obamacare. Its not because he is a tool of the GOP. Its because he literally doesn’t think its his job to provide the public with accurate information about policies. He thinks his job is to analyze what works/doesn’t work for the power players in politics.

    As always, worth your time.

I heard an NPR interview with a journalist covering the Olympics today regarding Putin saying the American journalists are acting like we are still in the Cold War Era trying to paint everything in that light. The NPR guy questioned the seasoned journalist. He did not think it was true, but when he told what they did and why I finally found something I agree with Putin on. The journalist said they use what Americans think about Russia as a starting point and find stories that are along that line. Like Chuck Todd said they do not think their job is to educate, but it is to please the viewers (give them what they want and can understand). The journalists feed the stereotype of Russia just as they have been feeding the public here the vision that Fox and RWNJS have created of PBO.

You protect me from terrorists and pathogens and pollution and bigots and foreign armies and racketeers. You enforce a semblance of order in the neighborhood and in the marketplace. You finance stuff that I use all the time, more or less for free: bridges, dams, GPS, federal reserve banks, crash-test dummies (indirectly), and Medicare (soon).

You deliver my mail, plus the odd cruise missile.

You didn’t even have to offer Big Bird or Obamacare. You had me at the Louisiana Purchase.
Not to mention my land-grant-college education and my graphite and titanium golf clubs—dual-use materials researched and developed by you. Stealth fighter shmealth shmighter, we’re talking 30 extra yards off the tee, baby.

Also you invented the Internet, which is soooo great for global communications and last-minute shopping. Meanwhile, you’ve been ticking off items on the ol’ honey-do list. “End slavery,” check. “Eradicate polio,” check. “Clean Lake Erie,” check. “Elvis stamp,” thank you very much.
