This new retirement account choice is VERY exciting! After having Wall Street raid and ravage 401Ks and the like, and after greedy corporate interests and corrupt politicians have made off with people’s pensions, it is a total game-changer to having such a robust alternative. The federal government winds up having to bail out the banks and the local governments, might as well cut out the middle man and let We The People reap the profits.

President Obama truly means it when he says he is fighting for those who can’t afford lobbyists to pad the palms of politicians and buy their way to a cushy lifestyle at the expense of everyone else.

Isn’t that okay 99ts, from what I heard Chris Hayes couldn’t stop talking about the SOTU speech last night.
That’s sure OK with me – Christie deserves to be spoken of every day until he is gone.
Based on those pics above I can predict that Barack Obama guy is going to look EXCEEDINGLY distinguished in the next decade or two with some spectacles and a little more gray hair. 🙂
I saw a Randi Rhodes tweet earlier re. the alma mater of the Repubs’ star rebuttal artist, Cathy McMorris Rogers. Oh my. I don’t know whether to be horrified or feel sorry for her because her college experience could not have been any fun—-at all. She attended Pensacola (Fl.) Christian College, which must be as ultra rt. wing religious conservative as it gets. There were rules about everything—-only conservative dress allowed, only certain kinds of hair styles (no effeminate styles for guys!), music was restricted, no dancing!, no alcohol and of course no smoking or drugs, no physical contact with members of the opposite sex!, even elevators and stairwells were segregated—to avoid any incidental brushing up against, I guess. Everyone under the age of 23 had to have a chaperone on any get together. Because of the no touching thing, couples who were “dating” were relegated to staring into each other’s eyes for some fun and “intimacy”—–they called this “eye kissing”——and if they were really into each other, really staring, they called it “making eye babies”. And of course—the school was all in on creationism, no evolution or any science type stuff allowed. Etc. This is who the Republicans put forth, one of their stars, and this is absolutely pitiful.

So not only they are brainwashed by their media machine, they are brainwashed in school. And that’s very concerning. There’s a whole generation of people now who have attended these “universities” and many of them are elected officials, teachers, members of school boards.
The radicalization of the republican party has been years in the making. The problem won’t go away anytime soon.

I am a great believer in prayers, and I believe Heaven moves when people come together, on one accord, praying and believing for miracles.

GE, TODville, still reeling at the President’s spectacular SOTU yesterday.
I knew in my heart it would be a kick-ass speech, but it was more than that.
Call me crazy, but I felt like POTUS’ speech was more conversational in nature than any other SOTU which pretty much set targets for Congress to hit (which were rarely acted upon).
Last night’s speech was different. PBO directly challenged Congress to action; he didn’t paint pie-in-the-sky goals (e.g., Reagan Star Wars SDI).
To me, PBO’s SOTU was more far-ranging than any I can recall, a constant series of boom, boom, boom. It was hard to keep up (didn’t help that the “enhanced” whitehouse.gov livestream was at least 5 minutes behind real time, which made reading tweets (from the future) very confusing, LOL.
“Lame duck,” indeed. Hope the MSM learned their lesson last night.
For me, this took the cake for MSM cluelessness. Mrs. Ezra Klein doesn’t have an analytic bone in her body; I don’t normally wish anyone ill, but if anyone deserves to be knocked down a peg or two, it’s these two insufferable snobs.
I was so made when I read this tweet:

PBO clearly illustrated why Dems must not swallow the PUMA and MSM crap they’re been fed right now.
Only someone like Martin O’Malley or Elizabeth Warren would have delivered a SOTU with similar messages/challenges to Congress.
HRC would triangulate to appease her corporate donors and political insiders.
We all know that PBO is a truly historic figure and we will SAVOR every minute we are blessed with his Presidency, wishing it could extend into the new century’s Roaring 20’s:

Gov. and Atlanta mayor really failed on this one. Laughable that the gov. was trying to say in his press conference today that they had no warning. I knew about the weather system heading their way a day ahead (at least)—-and I’m in Illinois and not the Ga. gov.
