Having had 6 surgeries in 18 months which included 4 brain surgeries, I learned just to go with the flow when I got to the hospital, actually looking forward to being put to sleep….now the previous day I was apprehensive, but it did not help me in anyway. Just chill tonight, listen to our wonderful POTUS and hang with us!!

I am on top of things today. It’s just past noon and I have already diced up all of the peppers (red and green bell), onion, and garlic. I have measured the spices and the rice. The ingredients are grouped so the stuff that goes in at the same time are in the same bowl. All that and the chicken is thawing. I am gonna have good food AND see the President’s speech tonight!

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the wrist at Roosevelt High School this morning and taken to a hospital in serious condition, according to the city Emergency Medical Services Division.
Police said a suspect is in custody.
The school was put on lockdown around 8:30 a.m. amid reports of gunshots being fired on the campus near Punchbowl. The state Department of Education tweeted that students will be released for the day at 10 a.m.
More than a dozen marked blue-and-white police cars lined Nehoa Street in front of Roosevelt High School and at least one ambulance was sent to the school, which has about 1,400 students.
School officials earlier sent out a text message to parents saying: “The situation at Roosevelt is under control. The Honolulu Police Department is wrapping up their investigation. Again, the situation is under control. Please remain calm.”

A Republican-sponsored bill that would allow elected officials with concealed weapons permits to carry guns in public buildings passed out of a state legislative committee on Tuesday.
The original bill would have permitted anyone with a concealed weapons permit to carry a gun in public buildings. It was then scaled back to include only elected officials and public employees.
The current version, which passed 8-5 in the state House Local Government Committee, applies only to elected officials. As the AP noted, South Dakota state law currently allows judges and law enforcement personnel to carry guns in public buildings.
“This bill was brought to defend those of us in this room and those county officials in the courtrooms,” state Rep. Betty Olson (R), the bill’s sponsor, said in defending the legislation.
According to the Argus Leader, Olson contended that Sen. John Thune (R-SD) should be able to carry his own concealed weapon in the state capitol if he so chooses.
The South Dakota legislature passed legislation last year to allow armed volunteers in schools. Dennis Daugaard, the state’s Republican governor, signed the so-called “school sentinels” bill into law.

Since we cannot stop them AND the media facilitate (instead of curtailing) them (and because I’m kinda weird), I take the GOPs frenzied gallery to “rebut/pre-but” this president as a compliment to PBO. IMO whether they realize it or not they are acknowledging they do not have ONE person to take him on. Consider, each year they increase the number of responses (and that’s not counting the pundits who pile on) and still they come up short. In a way, GOP and media strategy to deal with this president has not grown at all in substance in all these years. They still splash mud on the walls, and as it slides down they peer with magnifying glass to see what sticks, and for how long. Yet, PBHO still has TWO TERMS BABY! 😆 😆 😆

Legislators in South Dakota would feel a lot more comfortable if they could pack heat at the workplace.
A Republican-sponsored bill that would allow elected officials with concealed weapons permits to carry guns in public buildings passed out of a state legislative committee on Tuesday.
The original bill would have permitted anyone with a concealed weapons permit to carry a gun in public buildings. It was then scaled back to include only elected officials and public employees.
The current version, which passed 8-5 in the state House Local Government Committee, applies only to elected officials. As the AP noted, South Dakota state law currently allows judges and law enforcement personnel to carry guns in public buildings.
“This bill was brought to defend those of us in this room and those county officials in the courtrooms,” state Rep. Betty Olson (R), the bill’s sponsor, said in defending the legislation.
According to the Argus Leader, Olson contended that Sen. John Thune (R-SD) should be able to carry his own concealed weapon in the state capitol if he so chooses.
The South Dakota legislature passed legislation last year to allow armed volunteers in schools. Dennis Daugaard, the state’s Republican governor, signed the so-called “school sentinels” bill into law.
