Christie bite!!! Hopefruit, you always succeed in throwing in horrendous scenarios just before a mind heads off to the land of Nod. Well, you and Christie will not traumatize me tonight – I’m way too tired and sleepy.

Wishing you Sweet Dreams when *you* retire. Bye!

It’s the two teams folks predict would make it to the Super Bowl……Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks.

Thanks for the picture from five years ago. My immediate thought…..he looked so young!!! Now he looks like an elegant, senior statesman. He is a statesman, and many in the world realize this now, and the rest of the world will realize this soon.

Thanks for the pictures NW! My first reaction when I saw them, was he looked so young! Now, he looks like an elegant, senior statesman, which he is. The world recognizes him for the fine statesman he is, and soon more people in this country will too.
I am thankful every day he is our president.

A friend of mine was a school teacher until the superintendent found out that the reason she wore glasses was because she was cross-eyed. He said that he had no choice but to fire her since she couldn’t control her pupils.

    Look what I found ๐Ÿ™‚ http://www.state.nj.us/governor/news/news/552013/pdf/A-61%20AV.pdf

    To the General Assembly:
Pursuant to Article V, Section I, Paragraph 14 of the New
Jersey Constitution, I am returning Assembly Bill No. 61 without
    my approval.
This bill seeks to impose oversight upon Superstorm Sandy
recovery funds even though such oversight is already in place.
While I thank the sponsors for their efforts, and for sharing
in my commitment to the transparent and efficient
administration of Sandy recovery funding, this bill would
produce unnecessary redundancies and waste government

    Read more here….

I knew it was there somewhere df – thank you for finding it – someone in the media mentioned it in dispatches – but I couldn’t find it. Probably an assembly member. Christie’s goose has to be getting burned at this stage.

    • 41 99ts
      January 19, 2014 at 11:55 pm

“Moreover, I am also concerned that the bill tasks the State Treasurer to oversee Sandy recovery funds when I already directed the State Comptroller and the Office of Recovery and Rebuilding to report to me directly on the progress of the independent review process and the transparency website. In my judgment, these teams are better suited to handle that responsibility.”

hahahahahaha – Didn’t he tell us that only 2 people in his administration report to him directly – the lies do catch up with one.

And does it appear to you df that the language in this submission to the assembly is poor. Would Christie have written this himself?

        January 19, 2014 at 11:59 pm

I can’t answer that whether he wrote this himself…who knows. But there’s no mistake in what it says, no matter WHO wrote this up.

I agree 100% – I am just amazed that no-one seemed to check the statement for its format/language/grammar. And I love that he has contradicted yet another part of his “I’m not so sorry” press conference.

99ts, the image of Christie meeting up with PBO stays in my mind. While PBO’s intentions were sincere this greedy bully knew then he was only doing it for the $$$$. I never trusted him because he was going to get as much put of this as he could. Whatever happens to him, let it happen. What a vile human being.

Just finished reading it and it certainly validates Mayor Zimmer’s claims. Christie is not working with a full deck.

        January 20, 2014 at 12:00 am

And it validates the viewpoint that the more the Governor said at that press conference – the more trouble he made for himself – conflicting statements every which way what way

      Good nite DF.

We may have to put you up there with Kornacki and Maddow for this great investigative work. Thank you for posting. Christie is a shyster to his core. Still baffled that NJ Dems voted for this thug. It will certainly give us great pleasure to watch all of this unravel.

As we awaken to the day honoring the most exceptional Dr Martin Luther King Jr, I think it fitting to ponder this fact ….

… and hope the message will reach everyone it should.

The only threats to our National Security are American plutocrats driven by avarice & a lust for global domination. Ike, Dr King, and many others have warned us.

What’s new – MJ is attacking Mayor Zimmer as is Mica – and WOW – Robert Gibbs is actually standing up for the Mayor!

    • January 20, 2014 at 6:35 am

Why are they attacking her? Are they saying she should have spoken up? I don’t get it.

      • 63 99ts
        January 20, 2014 at 6:50 am

You are a late owl & an early bird FayPax ๐Ÿ™‚

        They are saying

        1. She should have spoken up at the time – Mica would have gone right up to Christie and just told him – hahahaha
        2. She sent out texts saying he was a great governor – after this happened

        The points rebuffed
        1. She would have been politically dead – Christie & the Lt Gov would have said she wanted more than her share of the recovery cash
        2. She wanted help – she was never going to say at that time what she knew

Article on CNN saying the Lt gov is going to deny the story today. From what I read – it is not going to be an absolute direct denial. I think the Mayor is telling the truth & I think she probably went into shock – wondering what would happen next.

“The lieutenant governor recalls having a conversation with Zimmer that day, but says she remembers Zimmer arguing that Sandy recovery aid and redevelopment were the same issue, according to the source close to Guadagno, who was not authorized to speak publicly.”

In all the conversations – interesting that the Lt Gov remembers talking about redevelopment!

        • January 20, 2014 at 6:59 am

Oh lord, give me a break! Of course they would say that…and of course we know what Mica would do, we’ve seen her in action…cough!
They’ve got their story ready, but I’m with you…strange he so vividly recalls that conversation.

Well Mayor Zimmer met with the US attorney yesterday……she gave them her diary…..are they claiming she is lying under oath ?

The “everybody does it ” defense is ridiculous…….Everyone uses blackmail or no funding.

      • 66 99ts
        January 20, 2014 at 6:53 am

As I said above – they are doubtful – because she didn’t instantly call in the New Jersey Attorney General – among other things. Imagine that – she didn’t go straight to a Christie man with her story.

But she also didn’t flee to another country. Mayor Zimmer is a real whistle blower. This is what whistle blowers do. They stay and tell the truth and face those who will attack them.

Poor Morning Joe….he is trying to get Steve Kornacki to diss Mayor Zimmer…..but he is failing

    • 69 99ts
      January 20, 2014 at 6:57 am

Steve is good – both as an interviewer and being interviewed. He does not yell at his guests – he lets them talk – he doesn’t overtalk them regardless as to what they say. Yesterday he had a pro Christie member of the assembly and he let him rant – without interruption.

Steve also does his homework – Mica knows virtually nothing about Mayor Zimmer and is ranting against her.

    Mika is pathetic…….

Telling Steve Kornacki to ” Let me finish ” when he was just sitting there listening to her ?
