      Correction: Bush stole!

And Christie is a bully, and is being shown more so all the time. When he bullied teachers and nurses no one stood up for them, but now, he’s bullying politicians and staff, so he’s getting told.

And yes Bush stole. He did not “win” either 2000 of 2004. He was selected in 2000, and I firmly believe Ohio was stolen in 2004, and Rove thought he had done it again in 2012 which is why he was so surprised election night, and so was Romney (Although, of course,PBO didn’t need Ohio.)

I just played that with “Gator Boys” on in the background on the TV and a toddler running around pretending to be Sheriff Woody of Toy Story in the same space, and it was strangely calming. Ha!

Did Rubio really advise poor women to get married if they wanted to escape poverty??? Thanks for the hot tip, Marco. (Republicans are dumb and crazy)

Competing for the Republican “Stupid of the Year” award is going to be a tough call. Rubio is such a lightweight, I don’t think he even thinks before he talks. If anyone in the Republican Party thinks this idiot is suitable presidential material, they are deluding themselves.

I have fond memories of the “British Invasion” led by the Beatles. They were on the Ed Sullivan show for several weeks in a row and my 9 year-old self was there for everyone. I even watched the Beatles cartoon show that followed a few years later. Another fond memory from my younger Beatle-fan days is singing “Yesterday” with hippie friends as one played an acoustic guitar. Thanks, LL for the trip down memory and Penny Lane.

PS. LL, I loved your brilliant and informative post from the earlier thread today.

All those N.J. Dems who leaped to support Christie must feel kinda foolish about now. Wonder if Christie BFF Cory Booker has had any comments?

    For LibLib:

P.S. Don’t forget that next month marks the 50th anniversary of the Beatles appearance on the Ed Sullivan show, the moment that offset JFK’s assassination less than three months earlier in my 5th grade classroom.

My 5th grade teacher was the absolute best. She engaged the class in a spirited discussion about the Beatles the following day. We also had at least one fun thing to do every month (first month: luau with poi, or field trips — most memorable, Bird Rock in La Jolla). Our history tests were “College Bowl” teams pitted against one another. No one wanted to let his/her teammates down, so pretty much everyone aced US history.

    Hoping Lib_Lib is still here.

Bringing this rant over from the end of the last thread (because it is such a good rant, if I do say so myself, LOL).

    re: Christie #Bridgegate

    * * * * * * * * *
LibLib, maybe you can help me out here.

If this happened in Los Angeles, there would be riots in the streets.

Folks in LA take their traffic very seriously.

FWIW, the worst traffic I was ever in was in DC, August 1998 during the aftermath of a hurricane. The hurricane didn’t make it as far north as DC, but the streets were flooded, and Constitution Avenue, a main drag, was closed.

It took us 3 hours to go 5 miles (from Georgetown to Capitol Hill).

Total gridlock. In CA it’s illegal to enter an intersection if you know you will block traffic by doing so. Not so in DC. Also, in those 3 hours, I saw a total of ZERO traffic control officers.

If this were LA, the mayor would have been impeached/recalled/whatever shortly thereafter.

A few traffic officers would have made a world of difference. This was in the afternoon, and it was summer, so darkness was not a factor.
    End of rant.

Yes, it was TRMS that brought the NJ Bridge-Gate to the national Wilderness. She has done at least 4 lengthy segments on this subject. Now the the story is going to get HUGE! No matter how apologetic the NY/DC Media plead Christie’s case.

A little more Karma for PBO – suddenly the media implodes against someone other than him. It has been years since I have seen the front page of CNN contain doubt about a RW politician. I think it can only happen because NJ is a dem state. The legislatures in Wisconsin, Florida, Texas etc just NEVER ask the questions

Every RWNJ is out and about once more screaming about the “liberal media”. If this were attempted by a democratic administration – state or DC – the resignation would be in. Actually, if it were a democrat involved it would have been found out BEFORE November – not after the election.

Public Corruption is what happened in NJ. Let No one who calls himself a Journalist dare to conflate what happened in NJ to any of the manufactured drummed up “Scandals” by the DC/NY Pundits.

A 91 yrs old woman died. People suffered and a Missing child’s search was delayed. This is not a NOTHING. IT is a BFD.

40-50 calls were made to STOP the insanity and the Corruption in NJ happened.

The NY/DC media are always impugning pres Obama’s Leadership, irrespective of the facts.

Enjoy your demise Christie. For what goes around comes around. This Christie was this way as a US Attorney. Petty and Vindictive.

TODville tweeters have echoed the same sentiments about Gates versus Biden, but here’s a few more:

Max Fisher’s tweet appeared on earlier thread:

I don’t bother giving myself heartburn by tuning into Morning Joe — remember, he’s on the air before 6 am on the west coast, but even Joe would agree with this:
