Funny. Had the Wordsmith Guru of Dems gone depressingly CRAZY his words, not mine, The Media and the rightie echo chamber would FEAST on this for weeks on calling attention that Frank Luntz said that CONservative ideas are Not a Salable products for the vast many We The People.

Wonder why Jay doesn’t point out that 9M covered figure when doing press conference? Major Garrett just said 2.1M in exchanges but Jay made no mention of those additionally covered through Medicaid expansion, etc. The totality of Americans that now have health care due to the ACA.

Last on Frank Luntz. He was the primary organizer with 19 other TBGOPers who plotted a political Coup d’etat against pres Obama at a DC Stake House on Jan 20, 2009.

No doubt his depression is being treated with medication. Hate has a way of eating people from the inside.

    KARMA? Providence? Fate? Poetic Justice?

    All of the above.

Nena, I can safely say that no other politician could have withstood everything that was thrown at President Obama, all the way from Waterloo to Obamacare and every goddamn thing in between.

Don, this is absolutely the truth. Any one of them on either side would have collapsed under the constant smears and sabotage. But our president’s mind, heart and backbone are too strong for these idiots. They have always underestimated him. And they have always failed.

I’ve only just read the sadness of Luntz – it highlights every last issue related to the “GOP’s right to rule” – despite playing every trick in the republican book the people still rejected what he was selling.

I’d suggest he ships out to Iraq for a few months so he can see the never ending result of the policies of the GWB administration that he seems to think is the American way.

Congrats on your post and on being first. Nice combination.

I have a couple of comments. On the previous post, Layla said that “Jay gets to do what Jay wants”. I agree. But Jay should remember that I am the one that watches him. Not he.

Next, I really believe that Jay is trying to “distract me from Obamacare”.

So the WHPC were interested in FLOTUS’ HI extended vacation? I love Jay’s answers. THose of Us who have children, giving our wives time off, not that we don’t LOVE our children is appreciated……..paraphrasing for I was not paying attention to the exact wordings.

I was waiting for the question and of course it came from Fox news and thankfully at the end. Jay handled it deftly of course, leaving Ed Henry looking silly.

Ed Henry is soulless wicked fool. How would he know? He has No children of his own even though he claims his wife’s 2 kids as his. Perhaps, I am being a tad mean here. But that SOB gets on my last nerve…..especially after he secured that WH seat for Fox. Then he ended up getting the Fox job for himself while he was WHPC president.

A lot of these media pundiots exist in loveless, sterile “business” marriages that are all about show and image and narcissistic advancement, and they know nothing about real substance of LOVE, CARING or RESPECT, or mutual appreciation of one’s spouse.

A LOT of the women I know do “girls nights out” or girl’s trips to the beach or to Vegas, etc. FLOTUS is probably no different, time with no husband, no kids, just girlfriends, good food, good wine, and chitchat.

Majorities support immigration reform with a path to citizenship. While people tell pollsters they don’t like Big Government, they support getting our fiscal house in order through a combination of cuts and tax hikes, as Democrats want, and majorities oppose cuts to Social Security or Medicare. Large majorities support federal spending on infrastructure to create jobs. Majorities backed the core ideas in the American Jobs Act, which included spending on road repair and tax credits for job training, paid for by taxes on the rich.

As Jonathan Chait recently observed, there is probably a majority consensus in both houses of Congress for a broad agenda that includes infrastructure repair, immigration reform, and a long term budget deal. But as Chait notes, this is obscured by the House GOP leadership’s refusal to allow votes on things that could win a House majority but are opposed by the right flank of the party. The recent short term budget deal broke this pattern, but it may continue to assert itself on immigration, a big budget compromise with new revenues, and job creation proposals (such as infrastructure spending) that members of both parties might support. Or on gay issues, where the GOP leadership has yet to allow a vote on a measure ending anti-gay workplace discrimination that already passed the Senate, at a time when the culture is shifting in favor of gay rights.

The National Review published a lengthy piece Monday crowning Rachel Maddow “queen” of MSNBC, claiming the prime time host has more sway over editorial direction and personnel changes at the network than president Phil Griffin. Now, Maddow and MSNBC are disputing the report, which primarily relied on anonymous “insider” sources.

“This is categorically false,” Maddow said through an MSNBC spokesperson. “I have never had any role in any management decision at MSNBC. Any source who says otherwise is wrong.”

In an official statement, MSNBC said:

“The NRO story is absurd and full of inaccuracies from beginning to end. To start, Rachel has absolutely no role in network management decisions. Writing her show every night is more than enough work. She gladly leaves talent management to her bosses. We’re disappointed that the National Review would run a story with more anonymous, uninformed sources than you’d ever find on the gossip pages.”

The right have few values – just want to control what the “others” do. I foolishly went to Jay Carney’s twitter – there are some seriously looney folks out there – perhaps it is such things as twitter that let us see the hate – I can’t imagine that this just happened overnight.

I wondered if I would ever find something positive to say about Romney – and just found it – he didn’t throw out the woman who bore and raised his children – it seems there are too many in the world of money and politics who discard the woman who raises the family and cares for the home – which allows the man to lead the “power” life.

Truly hope the GOP is stupid enough to continue trying to undermine Obamacare throughout 2014 and that they attempt a hostage situation (in late April, early May) regarding paying Congress’s bills.
