So the presidents pick it the Supreme Court Sotamyor orders that the contraception mandate STOP, they have until Friday to comply.
Talk about a stick in the eye, so that’s done now it’s over with!

Methinks she is also smart enough (and enough into the 21st century) to not let her personal &/ religious beliefs strangle her judicial decisions – decisions that will affect millions who may not share those beliefs.
Happy New Year everyone now that all time zones seem to have come on board. It’s been a heckuva ride and we’ve got a roller coaster ahead of us. Hang on tight and keep the faith–it’s going to be a good year. This is a great day for New York, Vicki. I wish I still lived in the state and could take a train into town to see this. You have no idea how much I long for my home state. I have been wandering in the wilderness for over 40 years and it’s unlikely I’ll be moving back any time soon since it’s farther away from our grandchild. Enjoy today for all of us and bask in your achievement.

Happy new year Anjo!!! I don’t think are ever too many photos from the Obamas’ Hawaii holidays because they’re private, but hopefully we’ll get a few more before they return to DC.
I’m glad there are not that many pictures, because this is a vacation and the First Family need some privacy sometimes. It can’t be easy with the camera in your face 24/7. I hope they are enjoying their time together with each other, with family and friends.
With you on this, ab, the entire family is long overdue for this break and relief from the public eye. The attention has been relentless, and the family have all been unfailingly gracious and graceful in the face of unprecedented publicity! So, we miss seeing them for a few days, big deal. The hold on the contraception mandate is temporary and it was done right before the jan. 1st deadline. I think that some people should calm down and wait for all the facts because time and again people start hyperventilating for no good reason.
We are under siege here in Ill-i-noise. It keeps snowing and snowing and snowing and snowing. Latest round started yesterday afternoon and has not stopped. It’s a sea of white out there, no creature is moving, not even a mouse. Roads are not visible. Good thing most people do not have to venture out today. They can remain cozy inside and enjoy shaved ice photos and the fact that in this new year, 2014, Barack Obama, is still the President of the United States, a most peaceful truth.
