Donna, you knocked it out of the park with this video! I’m totally in awe and loved every minute of it. Don’t know how you managed to do this with two tiny, adorable grandbabies to cuddle, but you did it and I’m very grateful. I saw it on my brand new (just opened) net book, but couldn’t get the hang of commenting on the tinier keyboard. Me and technology are not good friends. Hope you are having a fabulous Christmas.

Excellent job on your memories Donna. The inauguration and PBO meeting the 107 year old Vet are 2 of my most
    touching moments.

Congrats on the grandbabes. They are a beautiful Christmas present..

I saw a Healthcare.gov. commercial during the Bulls-Nets basketball game. I want someone to put some ads out to any young person who listen to the Koch Brothers and their ads trying to convince young people not to buy health insurance. And that ad should say, to any young adult who refuse to buy health insurance if you get sick or in a accident call the Koch Brothers and see if they will take care of your doctor bill.

Merry Christmas to my TOD Family!

May the Blessings of the Lord reign down on each and every one of you. I consider it a blessing to be able to come here, posting or lurking, each day. I heart you all.

I just heard a Hawaiian Merry Christmas song from our Christmas around the world CD. I send it from my heart to the President and his family today.

Did all my cooking yesterday so, we are having a relaxed day and then we are meeting friends to see a “A Long Walk to Freedom.” IDRIS!!!

My daughter is getting married in May. They want children…is it much for me to wish beautiful twin babies for them at this point? LOL! I want beautiful grand-babies like Donna Dem!!!!

Merry, Christmas, Dakota! I was planning on seeing the Mandela film today, too, but my cold is still hanging on and I know I’d break out in a coughing fit in the theater. Oooogh. Let us know what you think of the film!

Ho ❗ Ho ❗ Ho ❗ TODable TODville Township.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS To You all and Yours ❗

Snowed last night in my neck of the woods. We have shoveled the snow now and WOW the sky is Clear Blue and Sunny 😉

    Great Story:

AS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) — On this Christmas Eve we have the story of $300,000 cash which was lost, left behind, and literally dropped onto a cabdriver’s backseat.
The money has since made its way back to the rightful owner tonight.
News 3’s John Treanor talked with the Good Samaritan who avoided temptation and did the right thing. He said he did it for his daughter.
This is just one of those unbelievable stories with a genuine man.
It is a story of about cab driver, a bag of money, and there is a great ending.

    Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays.

See you ALL on 12-26-13, the Boxing Day 😉

    Hello TODers!

Didn’t want to let too much more of the day go by without wishing all of you, the tyrants and the lurkers, a very merry Christmas! Thank you for being here! I sent those “golf appreciating” photos to a couple of girlfriends 😉 Hope Dog-a-claus brought Danny some more “indestructible” toys! My kitties get new ones every year but their fave toys still seem to be everyday items like my favorite wool throw (delicious, apparently), plastic water bottle caps, etc. Peace and Goodwill to all!

Donna, that is a classic video. You captured everything I my heart.
Not only do great minds think alike. Humble hearts beat the same beat.
You are truly a gem. It was so nice to meet you and everyone else.

We just must plan something bigger before POB term leaves us. The days are ushering us too swiftly, too fast.
A group of my friends are planning a WH tour next year. Hoping an impromptu visit by POTUS and FLOTUS.

Well, this navigator is an extension of my own and dear to my heart! But, believe me, 99ts, she would be there and be on board if it were at all possible! Forecast is not for calm sailing or good winds, but that makes for a more exciting race, maybe?? Tracking is heaps of fun!

Donna, I loved the video and was teary eyed through it. I just appreciate the President and his family so much. Every day he does something positive for the US. I woke up around 1 am and finally got up. I put some of my tweets at the end of one of the posts and think few people probably saw them. There is good news so I will comment some of them again to make sure everyone hears about it.

….In 2009, President Obama and Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric K. Shinseki announced an initiative to combat veteran homelessness with the goal of housing every veteran in the country by 2015. The most recent nationwide homeless count found 57,849 homeless veterans in the United States, fully 12 percent of the total adult homeless population. Though that number is still unbearably high, it represents a 24 percent decline over the past four years….

Obama girls attend Hawaii Bowl today—–can’t access full story because of firewall—–but our little tidbit of news here is that they arrived by motorcade right before kickoff, without their parents but with other family members, include Craig Robinson, Michelle’s bro. Smiled at Malia’s quote—–“We were raised on basketball—–but football’s solid.”

  45. December 25, 2013 at 7:20 pm

Again, how President Obama’s forward thinking plays out into decisive, positive action. This is an incredible story of how his far thinking and wisdom play out in the real world. The Nobel Peace Prize, well deserved!

The Inside Story Of How The U.S. Acted To Prevent Another Rwanda

The Central African Republic had finally exploded. After months of signs that the country was a powder keg, with dire warnings of impending doom from the United Nations and human rights observers, outright clashes ignited the capital, Bangui, in early December. Hundreds were killed…..

….Two days later, it was like a switch had been thrown. The president of the United States asked for the people of the CAR for calm, speaking to them directly through the Internet and radio. The president shook $100 million loose from the federal budget, to purchase much-needed supplies to the African peacekeepers struggling to stem the killing and airlift in reinforcements. And on Thursday, Samantha Power, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, announced yet another $15 million in humanitarian aid and the pending presence of U.S. military advisers to assist the African Union’s forces in restoring peace.

Activists and U.S. officials alike say that the speed at which the United States has responded is unprecedented and part of it is due to a little heralded document and the bureaucratic tool it created. Presidential Study Directive 10 (PSD-10) came into being in 2011, declaring for the first time that “preventing mass atrocities and genocide is a core national security interest and a core moral responsibility of the United States.” Never before has an official document so bluntly said that the United States’ “security is affected when masses of civilians are slaughtered, refugees flow across borders, and murderers wreak havoc on regional stability and livelihoods. America’s reputation suffers, and our ability to bring about change is constrained, when we are perceived as idle in the face of mass atrocities and genocide.”….

Heh…so Breitbart.com has an article saying that Duck Dynasty is one of the few shows that PBO allows the girls to watch; that PBO told Robertson he’s a big fan and watches the show on AF1 and that PBO said he would rather spend a day with the cast of DD than Kanye or Kim Kardashian. The article then goes on to use PBO to validate the show.

“So it says something about Duck Dynasty that it is a show the Obamas are comfortable with.”

According to Korie Robertson “I know the Obama’s are very particular about what they let their girls watch on TV so if our show is one they find acceptable, that’s really great.”

But I thought Brietbart.com et al thought that PBO stood for everything that’s bad…..why would they now use him to validate their show?

(I will not link but you can find the story on the Google if interested. The site is Breitbart.com)

    • 74 desertflower
      December 25, 2013 at 8:02 pm

Sorry, but I really have a hard time believing that they would allow the girls to watch that show…as I understand they restrict their viewing hours of tv. If I had to pick and choose carefully, that show wouldn’t be one that I would waste my limited time on, that’s for sure. Unless it’s considered anthropology class….

        December 25, 2013 at 8:28 pm

Yes, something about this report is “off.” Not sure what the point is though. The same outlet that is so anti-Obama is now trying to use the same PBO to validate their show – whether or not the story is true. //smh.

    • December 25, 2013 at 8:06 pm

      Merry Christmas, hf.

My ‘BS meter’ is off scale on this one. Smells like ‘click bait’ & an attempt to get the WH to respond.

      • 77 hopefruit2
        December 25, 2013 at 8:22 pm

Bob, you may be right on this. It’s probably click bait. But it’s also a sneaky way of using PBO to validate their silly show and get Robertsonson off the hook with his bigoted remarks.

        December 25, 2013 at 9:09 pm

Mine as well, clothespin on the nose and all that! We ALL know anything with the Obama name on it, SELLS! Don’t touch this one! But wouldn’t the added irony be that all the rednecks would STOP watching it if they thought Those Obamas were!! I personally have less than no interest, and dropped a number of people from my FB page who kept quoting from or linking to this trashy show. Just seeing pics of those ‘actors’, I knew it was not something which might add to Soul Awareness. Therefore, uhuh.
