Me, I’m keeping my ears open for the Steve Harvey interview. That should be interestingly different.

Did you see Charles Pierce’s title for PBO’s press conference? Go look. Too funny.

UT, wild idea to just show our smiling President at that godawful presser! Thank you, wild one! LOVE IT.

I won’t ruin it for those who haven’t seen it, but I cried like a little tiny baby through part of the Steve Harvey interview. Still choked up. In a good way!

And the pictures that include the wedding ring – the WHPC cannot handle that this President reflects the ideal of the “all American” family. I think of that every time I see the wedding ring.

If he wasn’t President – the family could make a fortune in a “reality sit com”

Not sure if you’ve sampled our “reality sitcoms” (think Duck Dynasty), but they are at a much higher level than that! However, I understand totally what you meant! And I loved the pictures, too.

I was probably thinking of non-real sitcoms from the 1960s-80s where happy families were the name of the game. I do think from 2017 onwards this family could make billions through the media – and I hope they do. I also imagine that 99% of billions will go towards helping those people that the GOP wants to bury.

I like living in the age of Obama, (as I loved the age of Mandela) – one of the better things to happen in the 21st century.

So ABC, CBS and NBC carried the Live press conference that POTUS held today. CNBC, MSNBC, AJAM, CNN, various LIVE streaming and perhaps, Fox, FBN, Fusion, etc?

Let Us hope that a few more people were able to get to hear the POTUS totally schooled the overly paid Non-Journos at the WHPC.

Having read the last 2 threads, I think my computer probably survived the Press Conference because I slept through it.

Many thanks UT for the great tweets (as usual) – that was the best way to hear about it.

Love the pictures above – the President works every single day for the people of the US – shown by the color of his hair.

The question from TeaNN’s Brianna was so superficial……What is pres Obama’s New Year’s resolution?

The press conference was held with such a high standard of decorum and protocol, PBO was most gracious with his parting remarks.

…and the press corps heard him exclaim, as AF1 came in sight,
See ya later, all you haters!!! And to all y’all……..go bite!

At about 4:15 p.m. ET, the AP wire reported that a federal district judge had declared Utah’s ban on gay marriage to be unconstitutional. Within an hour, one gay couple reported on Twitter that they had gotten married.

Seth Anderson, whose Twitter profile says he lives in Salt Lake City, tweeted the below photo of he and his husband holding up their new marriage license.

As usual President Obama, delivered masterfully in that press conference. The @whpresscorps (WHPC) has absolutely devolved into a worthless bunch of unethical, dishonest, pretension snobs. Ed Henry wanted so much to used the word incompetent in his questioning of President Obama.

The predominant white beltway media can not accept the fact that President Obama (A Black Man) is brilliant. So, to mask their shallowness in dealing with President Obama, they colluded in manufacturing a narrative to call President Obama incompetent in unison.

The beltway media has validated their institutionalize racist DNA,

We need a petition set up to demand that the WHPC be more diverse. They tried to get on President Obama’s case about diversity which was an outright lie. I think the WHPC needs to be taken to task about their lack of diversity and also for their lack of brains

They carry water for the GOP – have been doing so since Jan 2009 – there is no “liberal press”, there is no “bi-partisan press” – there is only right wing racist press.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) was released from the hospital Friday afternoon, his office announced.

“Senator Reid has been released from the hospital and is back at home with his wife, Landra. As previously stated, he went to the hospital as a precaution,” Reid spokesman Adam Jentleson said in a statement. “The doctors diagnosed him as exhausted, not anything more serious, and have cleared him to go back to work. He spent today resting, talking to family, friends and colleagues, reading the news and discussing Senate business. He appreciates the kind words and thoughts sent by so many, thanks the doctors at George Washington University Hospital for the excellent care he received, and wishes everyone a Happy Holidays.”

So Thankful that Reid is released from the hospital.

I’m amazed that he continues on under the enormous stress the GOP hands out – all the time. I am younger and could in no way work to keep the senate together as does Sen Reid.

love these photos! our president is so extraordinary, and long after all the small-minded contrarians have been forgotten, pbo will shine as an example of how a president conducts himself or herself, and photos like these stand as evidence.

All negative on press conf. tonight on NBC with Lester Holt, Chuck Todd and Kristen Welker reporting. Todd said PBO was “peppered with questions” about his low poll numbers, about his very bad year, that he had the demeanor of the last day before vacation and “I can’t wait to get out of town.” Welker managed to give a negative report on O-care again. And I heard PBO say today they have signed up 2 million, “maybe more”, Welker said 1 million tonight. These reporters are giving a completely misleading and dishonest report to the American people. One sentence stuck with me from the article recommended earlier written by the former WHPC reporter who left Washington and returned to his home state of KY.—–and what a relief that is—–“In Washington, a divided America is good for business.”

I’ve probably just been oblivious this whole time, but that overhead shot startled me with what a tiny space the speaker has in that WH press-room. No wonder the jackals are so agitated. Having to be THAT close to greatness, the searing burn of inadequacy and jealously must be pure torment.

I think I have read before as to how small the Press room is – I love the shots of the photographers taking shots of the President – Pete Souza should produce a book of pictures of the picture takers – that sorry lot who whinge because they can’t take pictures of the President 24 X 7

Twitter is killing me. They have a countdown as to when the racist woman who is the PR Head of IAC will land. The hashtag is #HasJustineLandedYet. I bet there’s someone on that plane who is capturing her reaction. This is a bad time for her not to have wifi.

Just back from 2 weeks in Hawaii, Maui, and pleased to report Hawaii is as beautiful, warm, relaxing and refreshing as always. No better place for President Obama to spend the holidays with his family. Now when I got off the plane here in Pacific Northwest it was snowing, beautiful snow on the cedars, but……………….. The MSM is truly, unabashedly making stuff up about PBO.

Last year at this time was so ridiculous, followed by January when GOP Senators filibustered a Republican, Chuck Hagel.

With the national MSM dropping any pretense of fairness, Congressional election results will be heavily dependent on local media. More irrelevance for national MSM, hope all their ratings continue to plummet.
