So, let me get this straight: a right-wing, Obama-hating lawyer gets a “victory” from a right-wing, Obama-hating judge, and yet as a good “progressive” I’m supposed to hail this. I need more medication.

I included a tweet by @goodnewsgoddess in the post –

“This is same guy who stood outside the WH and told O to “put the Quran down and come out with his hands up.” MSM Fail #?”

    – and her account is now suspended.

I suspect a whole bunch of spam-blocking is going on by the Greenwald Groupies.

The truth is never acceptable to the US media and the GOP – they like to suspend the truth.

Thank you for the new thread – I thought I was in a new universe when I wake up in the other hemisphere to find you folks are still rise and shining.

Seems I missed important info, and am lost as to what this RW decision is all about. Have pity please, my head is too woozy to follow everything up today – BRIEFLY, what exactly was the decision of the RW-O-Hating judge?

  9. December 16, 2013 at 4:53 pm

Ok, so now that we’ve had Twitter outrage over this Judge and revealed who he’s connected to….what can be done about his “potential decision”?

LOOOVE our President and his Administration:

    Microsoft, Twitter, Google, Facebook…

Just a guess, but I’m thinking that the Silicon Valley types thought that selfie with the Danish PM and UK Cameron was pretty cool.

Our disgusting media is trying to make this a confrontation over the NSA ruling today……..

I am sure the meeting was scheduled before the ruling today……….

  13. 34 99ts
    December 16, 2013 at 5:16 pm

The NSA is the GOP’s new Benghazi!! Proves that Benghazi was a fake outrage and the ACA is now doing what it is supposed to do – provide healthcare to ALL Americans.

The ruling by the Judge proves X 200% why Reid had to remove the filibuster for PBO appointments. The politicizing of the Judiciary is probably the worst offense the GOP has committed against the US constitution. It seems, more and more, that US courts work for the wealthy and the GOP.

Why do I ever expect the US media to have more than 1 talking point at a time. We have a right wing idiot bringing a case between a Bush appointed partisan judge and EVERY media outpost – including the only one I read that sometimes supports the President – are quoting Snowdinski – who only speaks – as permitted – by his minders in Russia.

    😆 From 165 to 185

According to Herring campaign attorney Marc Elias, Herring had seen an increase of 55 votes while state Sen. Mark Obenshain (R) had gotten 35 new votes according to early results. According to the Herring campaign that brings the total from 165 to 185 votes in Herring’s favor.

The results came midway through the day of the recount requested by Obenshain. Herring campaign attorney Marc Elias told reporters on Monday that the campaign was “more confident” than ever that Herring would win the recount.

Hello all! Just dropping in to tell what I’m sure you’ll find an enlightening story you’ll never see on the news. Yesterday, I was feeling harassed with a delay at the Zurich airport when a gentleman from Denmark asked, “traveling from America are you?” I replied. He then asked, “How can you Americans stand to live there with those Republicans?” He went on to talk about how unfortunate it is that so many in a country that claims to be so progressive is so completely racist…Your President is a lot like the honorable Nelson Mandela.” Suddenly, someone hoisted a fist and yelled, “Mandela….Obama” and the place started to rock with a chant…”Mandela…Obama”. There were hundreds of people. Someone asked, “Do you know why we say Americans are so spoiled?”…..”we would be in the streets by the many thousands.”

Groups of us, from everywhere imaginable were able to chat for hours. No one there thought Snowden was a hero, quite the opposite.
Just thought you’d all appreciate that bit of info from “real” people.

Thanks, Faypax, I do appreciate this. There are times when I do wonder if Americans are asleep – particularly when they vote for folks like Christie, etc. Hope your travels continue to put you in touch with ‘sensible’ world citizens.

WOW, Faypax, what a story. Such a gem. We will never hear about that in our media. I do get to sick of our msm and repubs. They have no idea how the world feels.

      • December 16, 2013 at 6:32 pm

They want us to believe President Obama is now held in disfavor. Even when it came to the NSA, most reconciled that someone with America’s technology was necessary to keep folks like Russia in check. Over and over they asked, “what’s wrong with them?” “Why won’t they let him do the job he was elected to do?”

      December 16, 2013 at 6:42 pm

Thank you FayPax! I needed that today, after the right-wing judge’s ruling for the RWNJ plaintiff (funny how all of that judge’s rulings were on the opposite side of so-called “government overreach” when there were right-wing Presidents in charge of the government).

I also speak Italian and sometimes read Italian newspapers and have seen many of the Guardian, etc. NSA-related articles get quoted by L’Unità, etc. Then, after there are the inevitable corrections of the original inaccurate articles, the corrections never seem to get noticed.

I often worry that all the Haters/MSM noise from the USA’s coalition of the privileged and the prejudiced will somehow influence how our fellow humans around the world see our amazing and transformative President Obama. Glad to see that the USMSM noise is not working on the rest of the world and that Snowden and GG’s rightwing Snowjob isn’t working!

      • December 16, 2013 at 11:59 pm

I’m certain there are pockets of disapproval and those will be the ones they are certain to show us. America is so busy touting exceptionalism, we can’t seem to accept that what we lovingly call “news” is nothing more than propaganda…foreigners are forever aware of how information is manipulated.

The other day Chris Hayes said there are NO, NONE, NADA ” elected ” African Americans in the Senate….. ( Tim Scott was appointed )

I guess he missed the ” election ” of Senator Corey Booker…..

A relative said Hayes had said. I didn’t believe her. I thought she didn’t hear him very well. The election of Sen Booker was in Oct and his swearin in was in Nov. How that would have missed The so called SMART on in NY……? After all, NJ is just a neighboring state. Seriously? These presenters are Useless.
