Not in any way to diminish from Madiba’s funeral, but truly to honor it. I think he’d be thrilled to know that at almost 530a in Kyiv the passion for freedom, dignity and respect is pulsating in the #euromaidan …

Do hope all of you see the art ‘credit’ at the end of Sully’s comment on Ms White Victim, 2013, Megyn Kelly (link in tweet) ….

      December 14, 2013 at 10:40 pm

That art credit was pretty amazing, wasn’t it, Bob?

Chips – Thank you so very much for this livestream link. You help us never miss the important things, around the globe. I will try to stay awake to see it.

      December 14, 2013 at 11:09 pm

Yeah Bob, as Chips and 99ts advised on the last thread, I’d stay away from Sullivan. His opinions and writings on race, intelligence and African-Americans is abominable to say the least. He uses race to justify his warped theory that Whites are more intelligent and Blacks are inferior.

He’s written some very disgusting racist stuff about minorities; especially African-Americans.

      • December 14, 2013 at 11:12 pm

Am fully aware of all of that UT. That’s not the point I was making. Thank you.

Playing catch up, but I think I’m the one responsible for bringing Sully here … got carried away with the incredulous proof that Hitler and people who speak offhandedly like the likes of Megyn Kelly are somehow connected in their thinking, although she wouldn’t know that … I had also put Sully out of my mind and had forgotten why! I apologize.

        • December 14, 2013 at 11:22 pm

Don’t know why you need to apologize, Jacqueline. The deep irony that it was Sully who took down Ms White Victim of 2013, Megyn Kelly, with the young Fuhrer’s very white Jesus and Mary, is something to be leveraged as comprehensively as possible.

          • 24 jacquelineoboomer
            December 14, 2013 at 11:35 pm

Bob – I like to live on the edge (my version), so if both perspectives have graciously told me not to worry/apologize, then I find I’m in the sorry/not sorry stage … because I can see both points! (And your leveraging comprehensively idea nailed that point for me.) Can ya tell I’m a Libra?

Sullivan supports gay people and the catholic religion. Megyn spoke incorrectly of Jesus – that is what Sully no doubt went for. (I haven’t read his article, just saw the religious picture under his heading and left). If she (Megyn) had stayed with white Santa – Sullivan would not have said anything. I appreciate that your link made clear the web address so I did not go there. I clicked on JoB’s cause twitter had hidden where it was from.

I only commented because I like to know where I am going before I click – I love 99.9% of JoB’s links so was not expecting Sullivan.

          December 14, 2013 at 11:22 pm

Not to worry Miss J’OB. I personally, just stay away from Sully. Once he showed what he thought of African-Americans and ever since he went private on his new link, he’s been able to spew bile to his heart’s content.

One would think as a gay person, he’d know what it’s like to be persecuted or condemned by a bunch of bigots for being who you are

One someone has shown me their true colors, I stay away from that person and don’t promote any of their work.

But not to worry, Miss J’OB, I know you meant no harm. 😀

I accept other peoples views JoB (love most of yours) – I just like to recognize the link so I don’t go there – Bob’s was very clear, so I didn’t click – when twitter shortens things the source is often hidden.

I don’t know why McCain fashions himself a diplomat or negotiator. He has admitted in his books that he has a fiery temper. And to my knowledge has never done anything on his little trips overseas to areas of conflict other than international gaffes. I’m sure POTUS is hoping he doesn’t make matters worse. Personally, I don’t think any Senator or Rep of any party should do this type of trip without approval of the State Department. https://twitter.com/nycjim/status/412064166803824642

He has done nothing positive – but on the negative – he increases the world view that the US is a nation of war. He wastes the time of people looking for real solutions to their problems and he promotes political views that the majority of the US are against.

The media should concentrate on how long it has been since McCain has spent a night with his wife.

It’s just shocking that our TMZ/Buzzfeed/CNN infotainment newshounds don’t consider that John and Cindy not sharing the same residence (between their 7 houses!) is not a perfect headline news matter lol.

.What is so sad is how low the media have sunk. You used to expect trash from the tabloids, but now you get it from CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC. These networks has become no better then Fox news. Meaning they will make up lies, and call it facts. These media people do not like our President.

He’s a wretched old man chasing the next photo op … and plenty of folk, Ukrainian and otherwise, have been dissing him big-time for his latest stunt in Kyiv.

I’ve never seen a military event in the hot sun in my experience in this country, without seeing one of the military keel over in a faint. Hope it doesn’t happen here – I’m worrying like their grandma!

  15. December 14, 2013 at 11:50 pm

bbl … time to prepare some dinner …. take care dear friends, we have many challenges ahead and we have the spirit of Madiba, the memories of those Sandy Hook victims (and many others), and the extraordinary privilege to have President Obama to motivate us to move #FORWARD Together.

OMG I finally saw a “get covered” ad for Illinois on NBC during SNL. About time they get with the program. A HUGE Dem state for POTUS without a state exchange is just shameful so the LEAST they can do is spend some of the fed money on ads.

This is such a glorious familial, national, religious, and cultural ceremony. But its simplicity is the real key to why it is so beautiful to watch from afar, and I really wish I were in attendance. These people have come here – and we are all watching – because of one man who started life in simple surroundings, but had the spirit in him to move mountains. The only real tragedy is that Nelson Mandela was separated from his family and culture and life’s work for those 27 years, but nothing could kill his spirit and he went on to even greater things, which left an impact on the world. I’m not meaning to turn religious myself, although I believe he’s certainly in a better place with the angels, and I certainly would not liken this man of earth to Jesus, but I am thinking of the poem “One Solitary Life,” as I go off now to watch this quietly. Rest in peace, Nelson Mandela, even though everyone’s having a terrible time letting you go.
