Thank you JoB – and then I disappeared cause grandbabe arrived – they grow up too fast – words seem to be coming fast

My oldest granddaughter and her son, the first of my two great grandsons who’ll be 3 in January, will arrive on Dec. 27 for a visit!!!! We’re over the moon.

Wonderful family you have JoB – and a great Christmas present!
I enjoy that my daughter lives close enough that we see them every week – despite I’m exhausted when they leave – the little one is a whirlwind of activity.

Love hearing your stories about your “grandbabe,” too, 99ts! I recognize that exhaustion factor you mentioned. When I was a new grandmother – in my 40s – it was exhausting, then! But so worth it all.

Ha! I used to think I had it all – not becoming a mother until mid 30s (and in my time I was the oldest mother at kindergarten) – now I wonder if that was such a good idea 🙂

No-one could be more shocked than me at discovering how much I love the granddaughter (she is growing so fast the grandbabe is almost no longer) and the joy she brings.

And I can send her home, put away all she has scattered throughout the house – and relax with a glass of wine – and a smile!

And TOD surely has conversations that covers the diversity of our lives – Mandela and grandbabes on the same page 🙂

Yes – Mandela and grandbabes on the same page – we are fortunate, eh?

And your “send her home” and “relax with a glass of wine – and a smile” hit home with me, don’t worry about that! 🙂

In the grand scheme, this is not important. But right before I got annoyed he had entered my peaceful world and changed the channel, I think I heard Chris Matthews say tonight that President Obama had taken “his advice” to hire people at the White House who were experts and not just “supporters.” He was referring to John Podesta. Did anyone else hear Chris say that? If so, I’d like to send him a friendly little tweet about it.

Chris Matthews talks to himself mostly, these days. I’m not sure many people are still watching that show…

I heard that too right before I turned him off. I was so upset that my husband even had him on and then when I heard him say that I came unglued. I hate these pundits. Who are they to give this President any advise. I really have had it with all except Rev Al. He really stands with this President. I feel I do stay with Rev Al.

UT and Chips, you two have been beyond amazing with all these wonderful posts for Mandela and our great President. Thanks to all who post too. We are the best.

He was probably stung by PBO’s “so-called Progressive” comment. Matthews sounds like all the other emoprogs who pat themselves on the back whenever POTUS does something they like. At least, when they take a break from calling him a disappointment pretty much all the rest of the time.

      • 38 jacquelineoboomer
        December 11, 2013 at 1:06 am

I don’t even think Matthews has a category like “emoprog.” He switches by the minute from one side to the other. Just put “so-called” in front of either side, and it’ll work for him!

Hey, Matthews, if President Obama’s a disappointment, then I’m hoping for a lot more disappointment in our lives. I’ll take three more years of that disappointment – and welcome it – thank you very much. Ha!

The whole pundtwitry thingy has to be shut down and the networks should go back to just reporting news. Not gonna happen, of course.

            December 11, 2013 at 1:43 am

Not where there’s money to be had. I remember those “old days” of news reporting … who would have ever thought that would go by the wayside? Instead of news, we now have all of the no-value shows where they ask each other what they think of each other … until the rest of us turn the channel.

Lord, had been beating my head against the wall since Sunday, trying to figure out Cruz’s ulterior motive for attending Madiba’s funeral. Knew damn well it wasn’t to court the AA vote in 2016. Duh… it should have been as plain as the nose on my face — to somehow court the anti-Castro vote!!!!!

See, these assholes in congress are why we can’t have nice things…

Sadly, nobody noticed. He could have stayed at home, and just pretended that he walked out – and it would have had the same effect. What a loser!

      • 46 99ts
        December 11, 2013 at 3:24 am

yep – he had to tell the press he left, nobody knew and nobody cared – the only person from the US that anyone noticed at the memorial was President Barack Obama.

    • 47 jacquelineoboomer
      December 11, 2013 at 1:22 am

I never even fully confirmed for myself that Cruz even attended, much less walked out. But you are right – he would think that some anti-Castro voters would be seeing a walkout as a BFD … instead of just seeing Cruz as a grotesque loser, as – and I think I can safely speak for everybody here – we all do.

saw a group photo earlier this evening of the congressional delegation; looked like they were at their hotel. He was all the way in the back, probably standing on tippy-toes so that the top of his face was visible…

Yes, I saw that, but – to tell you the truth – he looked so fake I thought it was actually a fake photobomb!

This was the question I read from ABC News, What do President Obama and teenagers have in common? They like to appear in selfie at memorial service. I guess they were trying to imply that our President acted like a teenager.

Morning, TODvillage! This early entry is misleading as I’ll be MIA today. Work called 15 mins ago so I’ll be gainfully employed today – at the venue that ends later than the others. Shucks! Anyways, have yourselves a Wonky Wednesday, and do remember to ignore the MSM. It’s Christmastime, after all; they’re probably all drunk. BBMUCHL 😉
