With Seven Workdays Left, House Committee Holds Hearing On Space Aliens .

I wonder if the subpoenaed ET to testify.

    Useless GOP

    • December 3, 2013 at 5:19 pm

You know, I was going to mock this, but from reading the article on HuffPo, it does seem well-intentioned. But with so much on the plate, it is rather infuriating that the GOP could find time for this, rather than leaving it for the next year and working on, oh, I don’t know, the budget, immigration reform, etc., etc.

Not immigration reform, not the farm bill, not SNAP, not a budget, not a jobs bill, not a minimum wage bill, not a gun violence reduction bill, not ENDA, not the Voting Rights Act reform bill, but space aliens.

WALLPAPER!! Fantastic! Tally, paging Tally!! If you don’t mind having one of the esteemed BT’s send you my email, my daughter is moving to LA this week and will be needing to sign up for Obamacare in pronto fashion! Would you be willing to help her if I can get the two of you into communication?! (I have a feeling you will say Yes! As in Yes We Can!) 🙂 Thanking you in advance!

Yes, thank you for the offer, GGail, whatever it takes to get Tally and the daughter to move the application process forward! She has been in Australia for the past 10 years, with their brilliant national health plan, and is in amazement the US has nothing at all for we the people!

The concept seems inherently problematic, but sometimes it’s hard to put your finger on exactly why.

Well, Australian-based standup comedian, Aamer Rahman, can explain exactly why.

In just a few minutes he covers issues like colonization, imperialism, slavery, inequality, privilege, war, cultural superiority and internalized racism.

Now, if we could just go back in time, make the minority group the dominant group, and change history — That would be reverse racism. BINGO.

    Reverse Racism doesn’t work.

The United States has been, is now and will remain a resident Pacific power – this is the message America’s vice president, Joseph Biden, wants to convey during his trip to East Asia from December 1 to 8. Biden’s visits to Japan, China and South Korea take place amid heightened tensions. China established an air defense identification zone on November 23 and said its military is capable of controlling the zone. Since then, two U.S. B-52 bombers and several South Korean and Japanese flights flew though the zone.

Biden’s visit was planned before the controversy over the zone started to brew. It is intended to make up for U.S. President Barack Obama’s canceled trip to an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in October due to a government shutdown. By sending a top official to the region, Washington wants to signal its allies that its rebalancing to Asia strategy is not an empty promise…..

Caixin: Could you please provide an update on the U.S. rebalancing to Asia policy? And do you think the policy has achieved its intentions?

Joseph Biden: The United States has elevated our diplomatic, economic and strategic engagement in the Asia-Pacific. Our effort is rooted in a positive vision of the region. For the past sixty years, the security we provided has enabled the region’s people to turn their talents and hard work into an economic miracle. Now we want to hasten the emergence of an Asia-Pacific order that delivers security and prosperity for all nations involved and delivers the promise of a better future for all citizens…….

So in 1948 Truman ran against the Do-Nothing Congress and those Lazy Congress had 368 bills to their name. Then came the Newt Gingrich GOP led Congress and they had 88 Bills to their name in History. This John Boehner lead Congress in the House is projected to have the Most at 55 Bills. They are the most paid. We pay for their travel. They work the least. Thus far this year, they have had 239 Days off just in 2013. They are Not Only the Do-Nothing Congress, they have Not worked to even earn on an average $174K annually.

Yep, If We Only still have a News Media that held those in power Accountable?

Okay the National Christmas Tree lighting will be this Friday, December 6th and carried live here:

But the Capitol Christmas Tree lighting is being held tonight (started at 5PM) and is the first one ever.

CSPAN is carrying it and it looks as boring as hell. I suspect the GOP in congress decided that they wanted a separate tree-lighting ceremony for congress since they no longer want to participate in the National Ceremony as PBO is in the WH.

From what I read, this is the first time there has been a “Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting.” I suspect it was planned by Republicans for GOPers who no longer want to participate in the National Christmas Tree Lighting because PBO is President. John Boehner was the only official from congress who spoke at that ceremony and I didn’t see any Dem Senator or Rep present. There were also protesters yelling chants about Immigration Reform.

WASHINGTON — A final deal with Iran could include a capacity for uranium enrichment, the White House said on Tuesday.

‘ “We are prepared to negotiate a strictly limited enrichment program in the end state, but only because the Iranians have indicated for the first time in a public document that they are prepared to accept rigorous monitoring and limits on level, scope, capacity, and stockpiles,” Bernadette Meehan, the National Security Council spokeswoman, said in a statement to JTA, in response to a query arising from a story first reported by the Washington Free Beacon.’

    • December 3, 2013 at 7:11 pm

Entirely consistent with the NPT. And, the justification for it is entirely contingent on Iran demonstrating they will cooperate fully with robust inspections.

Here you can see the video of the Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. The entire show is about 27 minutes long, and you can hear the the immigration reform activists singing while Boehner is speaking, and then chanting towards the end of the ceremony (around 26 minutes in).

Apart from Jim MCDermott who spoke, I’m under the impression that this is just a pack of Republicans, men women and children – all Republicans! No racial/ethnic/cultural/ diversity whatsoever. And they call it the Capitol Lighting, but it’s largely a Teabagger’s Christmas “Statue of Freedom” commemoration. ROTFLMAO!!!
