A Thanksgiving Rise and Shine: 50 Thank Yous to the President

****

9. Thank you for the drawdown of the war in Afghanistan and putting an end date to combat involvement by troops.

****

10. Thank you for improving America’s image abroad by stretching your hand out to allies and non-allies alike, beginning with your 2009 inaugural address and your historic Cairo speech.

32. Thank you for repeated increases in financial aid and Pell Grants and for reforming the student loan program by making sure banks don’t unfairly profit at the expense of the student.

****

33. Thank you for the first increase in fuel economy standards in over a decade. Thereby ensuring that a gallon of gas takes consumers not from point A – B but from point A – Z.

Wait a minute, Pamela, you are rising and shining much earlier than I expected! I figured you’d be giving the body a little extra rest after moving and before the Thanksgiving festivities start.

Wishing you, Pamela, a ‘Happy, Enjoyable Thanksgiving’, whatever form it takes! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

As If! The thankful part is well and truly activated, but the day of rest part is still a few days out. Today is set up to make several trips between old dwelling and new refuge. I will bring all the small bits which I can mangae to carry or to put into smaller boxes, or which require hand carry, not movers! A I set up and empty boxes inside, there is now a bit more (but not much!) room to get finished up. Essentially, I am downsizing into a place 1/4 the size, and have enjoyed seeing things I put out on the nature strip with a FREE sign, being picked up in disbelief by neighbors and people driving by who stop! Two weeks ago, an embarrassingly enormous load went out to charities, and other re-use type places. Also have had donations trucks stopping by regularly. 25 years is too long a time to stay in once place. Won’t be doing that again! Am gone now, may be able to check in later during the tryptophane lull!! 🙂 Be well, be blessed. Special greetings of Light to you, HZ, and to President Obama, the First Family, and those they love. I hope and pray it is a relaxing day for them all, and that PBO does not have to be called to the office. Bye!

Oh UT, you have brought me to tears. That is the most beautiful lineup of why we love our POTUS. There is so much to be thankful for. This is why we are here.

Thank you to Chips for this wonderful place for all of us to come. And thank you to all the Blog Tyrants for the time spent in keeping us informed. And to all of you who bring information from far and wide to keep us informed on what is really going on in our world. And to the internet that has given us the opportunity to talk to people all over the world. To know what is happening without the msm spin, sometimes its not always good. Especially to all you wonderful people who kept encouraging all of us to get involved in twitter. Last Saturday’s experience of the Geneva Talks was so beyond anything I could ever imagine.

I am so thankful to be alive today. Hope everyone has a beautiful day.

I also want to express my concern for all those who won’t be having a good day, all those who because of our Congress won’t have the food to eat. This will keep us fighting to get our POTUS a congress he needs next year. FORWARD

Dems in 2014…..Minimum Wage, ACA, Income inequality, Voting Rights as a Constitutional issue, Women Not a legislative issue…OUR bodies are ours alone and our Temple, Education and Infratructure as ways to create Jobs…….then Campaign Funding, make TBGOPers defend that……..Those alone should get attention of every voter in USA.

What a beautiful post! Thank you UT for reminding us of what the President has been able to accomplish, in just five years! We have come far. It’s almost difficult to remember the eight year nightmare we lived through.
Thank you Chips for this wonderful spot, and thank you to everyone who contributes…..I learn so much here!
And, personally, I’m so thankful, that today, at this moment, my family is healthy and well. A year ago that wasn’t so, but thanks to good doctors and MEDICARE, my husband is healthy and his old self.
Everyone have a blessed day…..and may we all continue to work for blessed days for those who are desperately in need.
Thank you all for being here.
Had to get the turkey in the oven and myself showered before I could even come here. Now, I have a short time to enjoy this. Dinner’s at two…..y’all come!!!

Just watching? Wow! Thanks Layla, that’s a good find that speaks to me for sure. Instead of following the link, I’ll make a note to start watching …. next week. See, if one waits long enough, research will provide an easier solution to many previous problems, and I don’t mind this kind of waiting. 😀

You give others the opportunity to be trusted to share their brilliant gifts as your wonderful contributors, and I thank you. You raise the bar in such a loving and respectful manner to shed so much wonderful lights on what it means to work with a brilliant POTUS and Not against a nation. We are the people, and you show us daily that we have a loving responsibility to work together to make this space here and in all of our spaces, ones where love, talent, intellect, and respect can dwell peacefully side by side. Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Chanukah to everyone…..I’m thankful that I live in the age of Obama, I ‘m thankful for this blog that helps keep my head on straight and my hair doused from fire, I’m thankful for each and everyone of you who show such love and compassion for each other, I’m especially thankful for Chips and her Merry Band of Worker Bees who keep us up to date and life positive, I also am thankful to my family who decided for the first time in my 71 years to start a new tradition, keeping me out of the kitchen. Cooked turkey breast and small ham and we are having turkey sandwiches and ham biscuits and loading the children up to go to Tanglewood Park to see their beautiful light display, and eat dessert of roasted marshmallows over their big bonfire. Yahoooooo no clean up no stress….Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Of all the days for my system to start acting up it chooses today when more people are free to drop in. My internet has gone off and on – computer told me to check the modem lights which seemed to be lit just fine, but I still couldn’t get on. Now that I’m back, the rate of response seems slower. Honestly, my computer does all kinds of things to get noticed. 🙄

And, if you live somewhere where it’s not Thanksgiving it’s just Thursday – that’s OK. Happy Thursday! 😀

I’m making my sweet potato pies at the moment…my contribution to dinner. I also have been requested to bring green beans, not green bean casserole. My recipe includes fresh green beans, bacon and mushrooms.

I am so thankful that I am on this earth while Barack Obama is our President. No matter how difficult the fights have been and will be, all I have to do is look at him and his beautiful family and I’m uplifted. Then I come to TOD and read 50 Thank Yous to the President, I am further uplifted. God Bless each and everyone of you and Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
