No. I’m freezing! Of course, I’m freezing at anything less than 75 degrees….but still 🙂 It’s cold!

Oh, DF, you make me weep. It’s 19 degrees this am and the weather report says it “feels” like 10! In this weather you run to and from your car when you’re going someplace and try to find reasons why you don’t need to go out to the mailbox today. I’m usually prepared for this in January, but before Thanksgiving? No, thanks.

Hey Chips! Check this out:) A little friendly competition between friends??

A couple of weeks ago the legend known as Chipsticks from The Obama Diary took to twitter in order to document the 10 best pictures of the Obama era. Unfortunately, even legends can be wrong. So I thought that my return to the world of blogging would be a good time to set the record straight. After all, its really important that we get this one right, isn’t it? 😉

L.A. Unified’s local food push is healthy for area economy too
School district’s commitment to more local sourcing of the food it serves has boosted business and employment at producers’ plants.

The historic preliminary nuclear deal between Iran and the six world powers — the United States, China, France, Germany, Russia and the United Kingdom — made in Geneva, Switzerland over the weekend was first announced on Twitter.

Within minutes Republicans felt the need to remind people that if there’s one thing they hate more than helping the uninsured, it’s any attempt to make peace in the Middle East.

George W. Bush’s former press secretary Ari Fleischer – who after the 9/11 terrorist attacks warned ”all Americans that they need to watch what they say, watch what they do” — decided people had to know his opinion on the deal before he had even heard what was in it.

Because if anyone needed to weigh in on an historic attempt at diplomacy, it’s the guys who still think the Iraq War was a good idea.

U.S. private sector rebounds in November: Markit

(Reuters) – U.S. private sector activity rebounded in November after slowing the month prior, while new orders grew at their fastest pace since April 2012, according to an industry report released on Monday.

“Businesses have clearly rebounded strongly from any government shutdown worries, but companies report that they are concerned that the ongoing uncertainty regarding the debt ceiling has tempered their outlook for next year,” said Chris Williamson, chief economist at Markit.

Iran will start implementing nuclear agreement in weeks: Zarif

“In the coming weeks – by the end of the Christian year – we will begin the programme for the first phase,” Zarif said in a live interview at the airport.

“At the same time, we are prepared to begin negotiations for a final resolution as of tomorrow.”

Earlier on Sunday, the team was acclaimed by Iran’s most powerful man, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who put the success of the agreement down to the resistance of the nation.

Having faced years of economic sanctions, many Iranians expressed joy at a breakthrough that could ease the pressures facing Iran’s economy, which has been all but isolated from the global banking system through embargoes.

Jackie, I used to live in Western New York….the best present I ever received was an automatic car starter.

I could hit the button from inside the house and it would start and get the car all warmed up before I had to leave for work.

    This is a BFD. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-11-25/auto-and-shipping-firms-among-potential-iran-deal-winners.html

The deal struck yesterday in Geneva among Iran and six world powers, including the U.S. and its European Union partners, will relax restrictions on cars, petrochemicals, aviation parts, gold, and insurance for oil cargoes. In addition, it will let the Persian Gulf state continue exporting oil at current levels instead of forcing further reductions.
Direct commercial benefits from the agreement will be limited because the primary sanctions on oil and banking remain in place. Its significance may be as the first break in a pattern of ever-tighter sanctions on Iran and a potential first step toward its return to the international economy.
“Any indication that we could resume doing business with our partners in Iran goes in the right direction,” Peugeot spokesman Jean-Baptiste Thomas said yesterday. “We’ll of course welcome the re-opening of the Iranian market.”
