After seeing David Gregory ask Andrea Mitchell a question then ask Chuck Todd something I could see they were going to put a negative spin on this so turned it off. I came back here since I am not sure what American station will present this news in a positive light.

I had heard earlier that Congress was going to call for stricter than negotiated sanctions mostly GOP players. Wondered if Congress needed to vote on it and hoped they would not foul it up.
“strong and principled diplomacy” is how things get done. I shut it off after PBO completed his statement; not interested in the haters comments and so-called analysis. PBO was clear and easily understood. He does not need translators, especially from such biased sources.

Those of us who remember the hostage taking in 1979 are so thankful to see this change. No matter what PBO’s detractors try to do and say, the world and the country are going to be different—better—places in 2017. When he said “change” he meant it. People thought it was a cute catch phrase; no, he knew where he was going. There have been obstacles thrown up, mean, evil people trying to stymie him, but whether they realize it or not, the earth has changed beneath their feet, and many of us know it and are thankful. Many will be carried kicking and screaming into this new world where WAR is not the first thought of solution to all problems. I am SO thankful for this president. I must say, this has been a wonderful, historic birthday for me!!!

What a magnificent Secretary of State John Kerry is. His press briefing was excellent. Just one caveat: he said that President Obama was taking enormous risks. I think he meant politically, but you can be sure repubs are going to use this.
