If Congress would work as hard as our president, we would be so great during these times. But we will continue to support President Obama so he can continue to go to work everyday looking out for the American people.HZ

Let me get this straight: Ezra Klein is pissed that PBO has pissed off the insurance companies. Is that because now he can’t be pissed that PBO caved to the insurance companies? Does Wunder-brat realize how foolish he looks?

    • November 14, 2013 at 4:09 pm

No, he doesn’t. Doesn’t have enough common sense to figure that out.

Gotta say again: Thankful there’s an endless supply of paint. Thanks to whoever reminded us of that.

Of all the reprehensible “pundits”and MSM, I think I loathe Ezra Klein the most (which is saying something, considering all the worthy contenders such as upChuck, Lara Logan, Major Garrett (could not believe what contempt he showed to our President today), Jonathan Karl, etc.).

He has the beltway echo-chamber and young white elites completely snookered:

I don’t care what the MSM mouthpieces have to say, 57andfemale, because they don’t have to offer any solutions to any problem, and it’s been obvious to me for YEARS that many in the MSM work to promote RW interests. I view them as being no more patriotic than the GOPTPers. I still believe that in the very near future, all of the ACA’s detractors will need a heavy duty cleanser to remove the nasty rotten egg from their faces.

So true majiir – the media is quick to attack – like the GOP – but never has any valid solutions to any issues – like the GOP.

No, 57andfemale. He is still growing. Too immature to know. Too privileged to care.
He will get it when Sarah Palin and Michele Bachman gets it. And you know that is not going to happen anytime soon.

He’s got a brain cell or two. He catapulted up because he was supposed to have a functioning brain. He has CHOSEN to jettison any critical, honest thinking, any compassion in favor of craven ambition. It’s one thing when you’re stupid and you’ve always been stupid. It’s reprehensible when you choose the dark side of our own volition.

Hello all. Re-posting as I came in at the end of the last post.

Just to remind any who forgot so you can push back on all the RWNJ claims about PBO who did not lie but thought the projections of 98% could keep and the 2% were grandfathered in were correct.

Ronald Reagan gave a primetime address in March 1997 apologizing for real lies he told in relation to the Iran Contra debacle. And he admitted it was a lie even though he went on to say he did not know at the time blah, blah, blah. His approval dropped from 63% to 47 % in one month and he had a fawning press and MSM and did not have to deal with a rabid , treacherous opposition party.

PBO will do what he always does, keep working and doing what he can to improve America and its citizens and will be rewarded for it.

Yes he will, criquet. Americans are slow on the uptake and are not deep thinkers, but most decent people will recognize how much our president has accomplished and what a truly great president he is. The piling on by the media has become too obvious and most Americans don’t like to see their president disrespected–by anybody. The beltway media and WHPC are playing to Republicans and are unaware of the vast millions of non Republicans who are disgusted by their antics.

Thanks again, UT. Whenever the president hits the road and talks to real people he gets the loud, positive response on health care that he got in Ohio. People who aren’t blinded by politics want good things to get done in this country. The president knows how to get people on his side so they know we are all in this together. With every such event, with every warm response from Americans, he makes the beltway media and their Republican bosses look smaller and smaller.

So I just read on twitter that Randi Rhodes got cancelled/dropped. That’s a shame. I know a lot of people liked her….most of the time.

      November 14, 2013 at 4:32 pm

I posted it yesterday. I’m sad. I didn’t always agree, but she was the smartest/most entertaining liberal radio host on the air. She had it all.

      November 14, 2013 at 5:34 pm

Yes, Randi mentioned that her last day will be at the end of December. She has been saying this for a few months. Yesterday she said that the boycotts for Limbaugh and the other rwnjs affected her. She says that they don’t have problems because they have the Koch Brothers and right wing groups to donate money and replace the ads, therefore they stay on the air. We do not have an equivalent to the Kochs on the left.

    So ABC has this headline:

“Bowing to political pressure, Obama unveils fix on healthcare”

How is that bowing to political pressure when he simply doing something he said he was going to do a week or so ago — right after the brouhaha started about people not being able to keep their policies? [I know I know; our crackpot media pandering to corporate and conservative patrons.]

ABC will always put a negative spin on any story about the president. But the fact is, PBO fixed the problem and there’s nothing left for them to talk about. Start counting the days before they find find another topic to hyperventilate about.

Ed made it “A tale of 2 presidents” two speeches and two sides of President Obama.
Ed doesn’t embrace complexity or nuance.

Ed most Certainly did not care for the compassionate sincere President who is owning an error and setting about fixing what isn’t working.

The president Ed loves is the highly energetic We will See This through delivery in Ohio.

Me? i like all the facets of the brilliant caring gentleman we are blessed to have leading our country.

        • 66 carolyn
          November 14, 2013 at 5:51 pm

Right..Ed just doesn’t get nuance, or complexity. President Obama is a fully actualized complex human being. He is not one-dimensional. Ed has one speed: Full steam ahead. That’s fine for Ed, but it would be bad for a president, as we saw with GWB….one speed: “I’m the decider.”
So, glad he liked Ohio…..both speeches are part and parcel of this man we are fortunate to have.
Like it or not, and slow as it is, PBO is slowly changing the paradigm for leaders. The ignorant, my way or the highway type of GWB and Cheney is really on the way out. People will expect more from their leaders from now on…..these things take time to work through, but they do.
We’re seeing it too with SOS Kerry. Very little is done wide open, but subtly, behind the scenes, and slowly. These two men are of a piece in my mind. They have long term vision, and can work slowly and deliberately toward their goal.
Frankly, I think the president was ill-served by whoever set up the website, but being an adult, he takes the responsibility. We are just not used to that happening in our culture.

            November 14, 2013 at 6:00 pm

It’s like the President said, if it was the website for the campaign, he would have been able to pick and choose among the country’s best programmers, but this was a “Government project” and he was very limited in what he could purchase and from whom. But like he said, he takes the responsibility and it will get tweaked.

I had cut Ed out of my viewing long ago as he appeared to be our Rush to me. Then I was hearing his praises for supporting PBO recently so put him on my TiVo programming. Today as I began to watch his show I hardly got into the first segment ranting about PBO’s press conference before I deleted the program. Not watching that! Ed is old school and not able to understand nuance.

That’s the game that MSNBC plays to keep people coming back….They have the various hosts alternate which one (s) is/are going to bash the President vs defend him on a given day. So Ed has been defending him the last few days, and today it’s his turn to bash PBO. That’s why I’ve simply stopped watching MSNBC.

They are a waste of time.

I didn’t see were Ed bash the President. I started to turn the tv when he started to talk, but then I said I would listen to what he had to say. While I disagree with the two President , I found nothing wrong with the press conference the President gave this morning , for the most part Ed supported the President.

No – he’s always been such a monster – I would think he would be scared to know anything about the donor – and wonder how the donor’s family would react if they knew whose life they were saving. Makes one want to add a rider to any donor authority one gives.
