Rand Paul met with Roger Alies and Rupert Murdoch. They were about to groom him for a possible 2016. Hmm? The implosion of Rand Paul is Only just beginning…… 😉 Thank you Dr. Maddow. She took Bob McDonnell down…..destroyed his VP selection in 2012. Wait when she starts to focus on Chris Christie……I can Hope? You bet.
Hmm HF2 has MarkK commented on the FL Golf outing by POTUS yet?
The Golf Course is where Caddyshack the Film was shot? POTUS looks like he is having fun. Good for him. If anyone deserves a break or two, this POTUS does.
What’s just amusing is that Ratigan is complaining that he’ll have to pay more for a non-crappy insurance policy. Moreover, a non-crappy insurance policy which won’t drop him when he gets sick, unlike the catastrophic one he has now. Basically he’s saying that he wants to risk bankruptcy in order to avoid paying a couple hundred dollars more a month.
Basically, Ratigan is saying that his “catastrophic” plan is all right for HIM because he has enough $$$ to insulate himself form the “catastrophic” consequences.
these are the kinds of lines republicans fear! imagine if each one of these turned up to defend their ObamaCare through the vote (against anyone trying to take it away).
I hope Democrats everywhere (especially in the deeply uninsured red states) do not run away from Obamacare but instead make it a central argument of WHY government can do great things for ordinary people (especially if genuine public servants are elected who focus on the needs of John/Jane Doe)
Because, Bob, every soldier fighting in Afghanistan, has a chauffeured limousine, an entourage totally devoted to their comfort and service, a team of security guards protecting them on every outing, designer clothes, a mansion to sleep in and haute cuisine at their fingertips. Who couldn’t see how much this resembles the life of a fighting serviceman? Oh and the compensation is practically the same. A serviceman’s pay versus Cruise’s salary.
“The former head of Israel’s domestic security service in an interview with the Chicago Sun-Times on Friday expressed support for the U.S.-led talks with Iran over its nuclear program, saying, “The American policy is a policy of wisdom.”
“In my eyes, American policy is not coming out of weakness. It comes out of power,” said former Shin Bet chief Carmi Gillon.”
Former Israeli security chief says U.S. Iran policy "is a policy of wisdom" http://t.co/RO6JsCI2VV”
Wow. I guess since they failed at rigging the elections for governor and Lt. governor by kicking registered voters off the list, this is their response. They seriously changed the rules on Friday, AFTER the election?? How is that even legal? As a Virginian myself, I am relieved that the GOP’s efforts at voter suppression didn’t succeed for the 2 biggest elected positions in the state, but disheartened to see how far they will go to try to win the AG seat. Pathetic. But not surprising, unfortunately- that’s the MO of today’s Republican Party.
I hope so. This seems like it would be illegal- how could it possibly be okay to change voting rules AFTER the election, and then apply them retroactively? And for the love of God, why can’t Republicans just play by the rules? And even more importantly, why do people keep voting for a political party that consistently engages in dirty tactics to steal elections?
The man in charge of the vote in Fairfax – who is a republican – is doing all he can to insure the vote is fair. He is listening to those who are finding problems, he is looking to correct any issues and he has just extended the time for people to validate their provisional votes. He seems to have behaved in a way not usually expected from GOPers (and is getting attacked by GOPers for what he is doing)
These are great! Thanks for the laughs 🙂 I only wish these were not so true… but I suppose as long as have a super-dysfunctional Republican party, at least we will always have something/someone to laugh at!
My pleasure, PHW. The sad thing is that these tunes are so cogent to the actualities of our current Congress. I’m glad you got a laugh….. I tried to bring the tradition of a weekend newspaper cartoon section 🙂
Gotta laugh!
Good Saturday Afternoon For East Coaster TODs and Morning for those in the Central zone and beyond.
Hey Nena, we hit the open door together!
Judith the faster TOD got the Gold.
Congratulations. Being in your company a step back is just awesome 😉
Great toons!
Thanks for the toons, LP! I find them much more cogent than much of what is said on t.v. or written in the press.
Whatever happened to the Grant of Asylum by the German Gov’t to/for Edward Leaker Snowden?
Right, Germany said: No.
Doug Mills uses some great composition for his pictures. Very talented.
😯 Those are some strapping male specimens. Yas.
tomorrow is Sunday – so I taking the fifth on this one
Naughty mat time for both of you! 😆

Surprisingly, not just @Maddow (though I love her takedowns of anybody-except-Obama), but RWNJ herself, Jennifer Rubin!!!
Here’s a sample of @Maddow’s takedown from Mon, Nov 4:
Wow, one million since 9/11? Wonder where hubby ranked in ’74? Thank goodness for GI Bill and Veterans!
Hmm HF2 has MarkK commented on the FL Golf outing by POTUS yet?

LOL – for the last couple hrs, that’s all he’s been tweeting about. His last five tweets are all about PBO’s Golf game!
Yes We Can
That’s our President’s plan, let’s hope the DSCC and DCCC are quick enough to catch on:
This week, Dallas and New Orleans, next up will be…
LP — if you’re still around, my reply to Nena above is awaiting moderation. Only two tweet links…
Nevermind… I guess my comment was freed while I replied to BobFr. The ongoing mysteries of WordPress.
Freed it for ya Arapaho, often happens when there are multiple tweets/links in a comment, the spam detector gets nervous!
BooMan has Ratigan as ‘Wanker of the Day’ for very good reasons ….

Yep. LL. That’s why I go with both ‘moron & liar.’
He’s being his dishonest self.
Basically, Ratigan is saying that his “catastrophic” plan is all right for HIM because he has enough $$$ to insulate himself form the “catastrophic” consequences.
Just another version of “I’ve got mine”.
Wow, what is Ratigan up to these days, in addition to whining about the ACA?
Mark Knoller hasn’t reported that POTUS is playing golf for the 200 time. He must be busy eating.
No, he did tweet it.
Thank yooooooou LP, great toons!!!!!
My pleasure, Chips! We’re currently at halftime, Auburn 34 -Tennesse 20…..should be 35-13. One half left to play…fingers XXXX
Fingers and toes crossed for ya, LP – so long as you do the same for United tomorrow!
I don’t like how these crazy Chelsea fans try to gang up on you here………. Man U for life!!! Strength in #’s, Strength in #’s, dear Chiparoo 🙂
Come on Tylenol, do your work.
Was it West Brom gave you the headache? /runs
No, but it did make it worse.
Just wait until tomorrow, missy!
Tomorrow will mark the beginning of another glorious era. For United that is, not Arsenal 😎
This will be you for two hours:
No, no – this’ll be me:
Puffin!!!!
Puffin’ our way to glory!
Bad news for Bibi ….
And he is sulking big time. Hmmmm.
Sure is and he’ll be sulking even more when he is no longer allowed to dodge declaring his Nukes and becoming a signatory of the NPT.
GO CALI!!
Meta, this makes me proud to live in California. Thanks for sharing.
Me, too, COS. I’m so grateful for our state officials so that everyone can get affordable healthcare.
Me too COS!

This is exactly what we’ve always needed, Jovie. Good for her.
Very rude of you Jesus Christ. The partner comes first. 😆
😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
I bet Osteen and Scalia would have a rip roaring good time together.
That guy has some big skeletons in his closet, I bet. Too prissy for me.
Oh myyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Gawd!!!! 😆
YIKES.
They know what needs to be done and they need to get on with it ….
…. no more excuses, JUST DO IT.
Yes We Can
Good afternoon, TOD. Thanks for the laughs LP!
Ol’Mav is being trashed, rightly so, for yet more of his idiocy ….
Because shooting a movie is as brutal as being sniped at in the dark.
Actually, LL, he confirmed his dumbf*^kitude decades ago 🙂
No need to “ask” – everyone has known that for years
Because, Bob, every soldier fighting in Afghanistan, has a chauffeured limousine, an entourage totally devoted to their comfort and service, a team of security guards protecting them on every outing, designer clothes, a mansion to sleep in and haute cuisine at their fingertips. If they are not rigging the votes to win, GOP employs all kinds of ways to cheat.
Witness Rand in his own words:
Oops: Here is Rand:
Ok, I have a cat-themed post ready to go, because it’s Saturday, and pooties rule.
If it’s Sunday, it’s GOP:
Because bullies are always lame and paranoid ….
More bad news for Bibi …. http://thinkprogress.org/security/2013/11/09/2920661/gillon-iran-israel/
Wow, looks like there is some BS going down in VA:
Wow. I guess since they failed at rigging the elections for governor and Lt. governor by kicking registered voters off the list, this is their response. I doubt that Dems in VA are going to let this theft go unchallenged; there will be a law suit and voters may have something to say about this
I hope so. This seems like it would be illegal- how could it possibly be okay to change voting rules AFTER the election, and then apply them retroactively?
