My apologies UT! I wrote that before I realized it wasn’t your post, but Chips-a-roonie’s.
Although, you DO have that blog tyrant privilege thing going on, so I’m giving you the side-eye, just cuz! 😎
((((((((((((((( Loving hugs coming to our wonderful MightyPamela)))))))))))))))) Enjoy your time with your daughter. Thinking of you in my space with good thoughts. Candles for you in my space. HZ
Oh, HZ, thank you dearest, I knew you are close to me, I can feel your energy, and yes, thank you, keep me there in the Light. Daughter has two days in LA, sorting out some things, then home. Her room is all ready, so welcoming and cozy, and soon to be split all into boxes and bags! It will be a poignant time, as she was not quite 2 1/2 when we moved in here, now 27 on Sunday and here to say farewell!! A fascinating journey…. Much love to you, {{{{HZ}}}}
I was walking the indoor track at my local community center last night. There was a guy lying on his back on a mat. He looked just lke effing Chuck Todd. I wanted to stomp on his face as I walked by.
I keep hearing the gender breakdown on the Virginia turnout, and maybe it’s me, but I don’t think anyone should be surprised that white women in Virginia voted for the Cooch despite his views. Clearly, if women’s rights had been a concern, McDonnell would never have won the Governorship. His views toward women and women’s rights were well documented so no one should have been surprised when he became transvaginal.
In truth, my surprise is that media folks make such a repeated to-do about the gender &/ racial breakdown for election wins. What does it matter (as news) once the tally is in and the winner decided? I can see where it matters to the people campaigning or running the campaign, but IMO it seems a bit of potentially divisive info as general news.
I look forward to the day when there will be no need by anyone to differentiate as to skin tone. That is the goal, right? I hope it happens long before circumstances settle the matter, when everyone is some shade of brown, making the skin shade notations unnecessary and extinct.
You’re right FayPax. During the Presidential campaign, I did some canvassing in a certain part of VA – and a nice Republican lady (who was not going to vote for PBO) told me point blank that she was not interested in any *women’s issues* like birth control, equal pay, wellness screening, or any of that. Her biggest concern for the 2012 election was that mortgage brokers were losing money under PBO in ways that they weren’t before.
We bid the nice Republican lady a pleasant afternoon, adieu, and were off to the next person on our list.
…..Two-thirds of voters support giving states the option to expand their Medicaid programs for low-income, uninsured adults. That majority spanned the ideological spectrum on an issue that Texas lawmakers ducked last session, opting not to expand that coverage.
Three-quarters of Texas voters like the idea of tax credits for small businesses that offer health insurance to their employees. Nearly as many — 73 percent — support creation of health care marketplaces where small businesses and people without health coverage can shop for it.
Prohibiting insurance companies from denying coverage because of pre-existing conditions has the support of 76 percent of registered Texas voters, and 61 percent, led by Democratic and independent voters, said they would support increasing the Medicare payroll tax on upper-income Americans…..
Oh well, looks like my day has come to an end. About the only good thing about having company is that I’ve been able to spend so much time with TOD….I’m avoiding “that man”. 🙂 But now I gotta go get some vittles for the little ones. It’s been a blast. See you later.
I remember I remember. I was so happy when the First Family walked out together. Mitt and Ann had us waiting till around 1am because they never though they would lose. Mitt had to get a losing speech together.
Hey, cool. Eddie from Obama Foodorama is following me!
Wait! … She has direct access to FLOTUS, doesn’t she? OMG, I just jumped a bunch of degrees of separation closer to My POTUS!!!
As my grandma used to say “I’m fartin’ in high cotton” now! 😀 😀 😀
No autographs today please. I’m just not in the mood! I have a meeting to attend…
Anyone have a suggestion? This letter was in my Inbox…
Good afternoon,
For decades, many people have reported various unacceptable practices in the debt collection industry. Today, we’re announcing that we would like to hear from the public as we consider what rules are needed. We want to ensure that all players in this industry are working with correct information, that consumers are fully informed, and that consumers are treated fairly and with dignity.
Weigh in now: regulationroom.org
Although you can submit comments formally in response to the notice, we want to make it easier for consumers and small businesses to tell us what they think about debt collection practices. To do that, we’ve partnered with RegulationRoom, operated by the Cornell University’s eRulemaking Initiative, where you can provide your comments in an interactive and intuitive way.
RegulationRoom.org is not a government website. It’s operated by law students and staff at Cornell Law School, with the goal of making it easy for people to submit comments to government agencies. They are working on removing barriers to public participation, and we are excited to be partnering with them again.
I welcome your comments on debt collection practices.
We will read and consider them as we consider consumer protection rules for the debt collection market. Now is your chance to have your voice heard and give us your input at this important step. I hope you’ll share your thoughts.
I can’t think of anything of the top of my head because not to long ago I watched a documentary called “Maxed Out.” I think it’s on YouTube or Netflix. It was an excellent look at the issue of debt, bankruptcy, etc., and how people’s lives are affected. It included how the Bush administration signed a draconian bankruptcy bill that exempted student loans from bankruptcy, among other things. It was riveting. May give you some ideas.
Ok, I’m officially ready for Christmas music. And by Christmas music, I don’t mean Kelly Clarkson penning some god-awful ode to the holiday. I’m talking Christmas songs from the classic American songbook, carols, and sacred music.
Hey LL, I LOVE classic holiday music. That’s my childhood right there. Can you promise that you will have a “Classic Christmas” music thread at some point between Nov 15 and Dec 25? Maybe you could have Part’s I, II and III spread out through the season…Thanks in advance!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
LL I looked at the kids and hubby this morning as I was getting everyone off to school and said… this weekend, we are putting up the Christmas decorations. 🙂 So I get what you are saying. I am with you on the classic songbook, carols, sacred music and all.
From the C-Span TV camera angle, it appeared the President is in the all-purpose room at Temple Emanu-El! Love it. Small crowd, WARM Texas hearts! God bless you, Mr. President. We are loving your dazzling smile, again. Coffee and pie on the side table for ya.
Come on back; this is no known language – can’t you tell? It was simply silliness popping into my head. My grandmother used to say ‘The devil finds work for idle hands to do’, and it would seem he finds silliness for idle minds too. 😉
Ebonics, eh? Hmmmm. I have recently actually been contemplating whether or not I want to try picking up a new language.
Me.
Cheater! 🙂
Whoa…..that came out of left field.
HOW DARE YOU!!!! 😆
My apologies UT! I wrote that before I realized it wasn’t your post, but Chips-a-roonie’s.
Although, you DO have that blog tyrant privilege thing going on, so I’m giving you the side-eye, just cuz! 😎
I hear you, Dudette, and I’m giving a couple of the BTs the side-eye (like the term 😀 ) too – especially when they arrive in pairs, so to speak. 😛
😀 😀 😀
Helloooooooooooooooooo Mrs Mourinho!
Hi there!
Dudette – you tied with UT for FIRST 😉
She beat me by seconds… but I like the way you think, dear! 😀
🙂
Hi!
I was just coming on to ask if the President arrived in Dallas!
Oh, I so wanted to be first…
you are first in my eyes MightyPamela
😳 Garsh, thank you so much, nospin. (Did y’all hear that, did ya?) 😉
((((((((((((((( Loving hugs coming to our wonderful MightyPamela)))))))))))))))) Enjoy your time with your daughter. Thinking of you in my space with good thoughts. Candles for you in my space. HZ

And you are first behind Jackie 4 O…for now anyways. 😉 😀
“first behind”, hmmm, I will need to think that one over!!
😀 😀
In case anyone was wondering
Virginia Attorney General race (100% precincts reported)
(R) Obenshain, Mark 1,100,148 50%
(D) Herring, Mark 1,099,669 50%
Difference: -479
RECOUNT!
It usually takes a week to process provisional ballots, so we’ll see.
“Provisional ballets”… Pffft!Girl, please. Those things are in the incinerator as we speak.
The Virginia Board of Elections shows Herring ahead, 100% precincts reporting. Recount definitely, but I like these odds!
http://electionresults.virginia.gov/resultsSW.aspx?type=SWR&map=CTY
(R) Obenshain 1,100,798 50%
(D) Herring 1,100, 830 50%
I had the percentages wrong. There were almost 5,000 write-in ballots so each had 49.89%
Ohhh, nice! We should check Mark Knoller’s TL for menu details.
Beautiful, zizi, It’s almost the beginning of a poem.
zizi, I like that very much – sweet!
#BAM
Awsomeee….love that
/wailing/ Why couldn’t you guys have waited for me; I was on my way?
Eww, looks like Chuck Todd left a friend in the WH briefing room yesterday!
I was walking the indoor track at my local community center last night. There was a guy lying on his back on a mat. He looked just lke effing Chuck Todd. I wanted to stomp on his face as I walked by.
Glad you didn’t stomp him, D. Might’ve been hard to explain that to a judge! 😀
*** On second thought: It really would depend on the judge!
Dudette!!!! everytime I refresh – it returns to that dad-blasted critter! Uuugghhhhh!!!
Blame WordPress! Curse you, blog-demons! 🙂
ROFLMAO gurrrllllll please!
The WHPC member.
Yep, definitely my soulmate! 🙂
Awwww, look at the baby!
awwhhh what a sweet puppy.
I’m going to dognap Danny! He’s just too adorable…..
Sweet! and no matter what you say, so innocent!
Huh! 😆
Was the game that bad? Chips, you have a precious puppy. It looks like he knows how tune-off boring stuff on TV.
*tight squeeeeze* awwwww!
What a sweet baby Chips!
Oh damn!
Sec Sebilus is being beaten up with mis-quotes by the Repugs in the Senate…
If they have to mis-quote, then she’s not being beaten up. People can only beat you up with the truth. 🙂
Ding, ding, ding!
You are so right hf – those arrows are falling short of their intended target and she’s holding her own – once again!

Hey that’s neat! I can’t think of anything off the top of my head, but I’ll give it some thought.

*because = but
Ahhh… I didn’t see that they had sent out a letter through their mailing list. Here are the proposed rules http://files.consumerfinance.gov/f/201311_cfpb_anpr_debtcollection.pdf ………. that they want public input on before implementing.
Ok, I’m officially ready for Christmas music. And by Christmas music, I don’t mean Kelly Clarkson penning some god-awful ode to the holiday. I’m talking Christmas songs from the classic American songbook, carols, and sacred music.
😕 Aren’t you a *bit* early, LL? November is still young, you know.
The thing is that usually I start listening to Xmas music only a week or two before the holiday, and then I feel cheated. Jumping early this year.
I see…. I think. 😉
Ooooo, good idea. So let it be written, so let it be done.
Amen. 🙂 🙂
I’m with vc on this one:) WAAAAAAAY to early for that yet!
“…And by Christmas music, I don’t mean Kelly Clarkson penning some god-awful ode to the holiday…”
Bwahahahaha! Sho’ you right! 😀
???
It’s 80 degrees where I am now (just northwest of you).
Warm weather puts you in the mood for Christmas music???
Lived in SoCal my entire life, don’t remember any Nov where the nighttime low temps were in the 60s like last night.
I live by LAX, so it was quite nippy last night.
LL I looked at the kids and hubby this morning as I was getting everyone off to school and said… this weekend, we are putting up the Christmas decorations. 🙂 So I get what you are saying. I am with you on the classic songbook, carols, sacred music and all.
