VC!!! Skated right in under our noses 😎 …………MUST READ!

From coast to coast, election contests are increasingly being influenced by well-funded nonprofit organizations that disclose little about their donors or how they operate. But new revelations in California provide an unusual look at one national network of such groups that helped move $15 million into ballot-initiative campaigns last fall while working hard to hide the identities of their prominent financial backers.

A pair of conservative nonprofits at the heart of the effort were together fined a record $1 million after a year-long state investigation, while two political committees were ordered to repay the state for $15 million in donations they received. β€œIt is clear that people are willing to use circuitous routes to avoid telling the voters who’s behind campaigns,” said Ann Ravel, a new Democratic appointee to the Federal Election Commission who helped oversee the California inquiry as a state official.

Several of the advocacy groups at the center of the California case have played significant roles in national elections, including Americans for Job Security, Americans for Responsible Leadership and the American Future Fund. Those three groups have reported more than $68 million in campaign-related expenditures during the past two election cycles, according to data from the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics. Because they are set up as nonprofit organizations rather than political committees, the groups are not required to disclose their financial supporters to the FEC……….

Pierce go the juices flowing the way he always does ….

And, had just posted the following before the new thread appeared:

I suppose if I had the stomach for it, I would have been doing what is clearly not an accident β€” i.e., ensuring that Christie wins tomorrow.

Without doubt, his lust for the Presidency is unbounded. And, Cruz and Rand hate him with a passion.

All three are based in failed States. The failure of those three States to create jobs, protect rights of women and minorities, educate and feed children, care for Vets, etc., is already abundantly obvious and will only become more so between in the months/years, ahead.

If you think the 2012 Party of Greed, Koch & Adelson Primary was ugly, having these three trashing each other, month after month for the next 3 years will far eclipse anything we witnessed, ever.

For Christie to be defeated tomorrow would seriously undermine the above dynamics. I fervently hope for a Buono upset – for the sake of the people of NJ, BTW!!

But, if he wins, get ready for the most vicious Presidential primary in the history of US politics which happens to be –> A Machiavellian Dem strategist’s fondest dream.

Unfortunate how many citizens of NJ,TX & KY are going to suffer the EVIL of these three between now and 2017, but fact is elections have consequences and those folk deserve what they get for either voting for these sumbags or for not voting at all.

time to go to the kitchen and prepare some dinner …. bbl …

Hey, that site I shared with Desertflower is good – meaning it has a lot of pics of the Pres. πŸ˜‰
This is the first time I’ve stumbled onto one about the Pete Souza book that actually has the pictures. It’s probably ‘new’ or newly uploaded. Pictures all seem to be black and white. I’m flipping back and forth to view them – can’t wait to have the book in my hands though!

Here’s site again, so you don’t have to go ‘all the way back up’ to get it . πŸ™„ πŸ˜€

Hi vc. The book is a must for your library. I purchased my book and I love it. As you pointed out above, the title is:” The Rise of Barack Obama” Photographs and text by Pete Souza. Photos in black and white. Copyright date: 2008. Photos go back from 2005-2008.

Get it. You will love it and want it to be a part of your collection of this great man, our wonderful President of the United States. And we had a lot to do with that process. Yes We Did. HZ

Second final post of the night:

Good night and happy dreams people. I’m hoping for a dream I had before. Where I was at my wedding…TO DWAYNE “THE ROCK” JOHNSON. I swear the dream went through the ceremony, the reception, and the wedding night, and jsut as it was getting good….MY DAMN ALARM WENT OFF!!!

The good thing tonight is that I’m off tomorrow, so NO ALARM WILL BE SET! WINNING!!! And now I’m hoping for a “double wedding”!!

    Happy Dreams peeps.

“Barack Obama: President of the United States” Knowing this, I sleep soundly every night. I have slept well for the past five years. I had real trouble sleeping the previous eight!
My daughter in law in Texas is in fine shape for voting….all documents in order! She said this weekend that this “messing with Texas women” is going to backfire big time on those Rethugs.

What I just wrote gave me an idea for a tweet…I don’t tweet…but many on this blog do. Texas has this motto: “Don’t mess with Texas” whatever that means, but I think this can be a good phrase for the voter suppression efforts and Cecile Richards and Wendy Davis come to mind: (also my daughter in law!)

Smart of your daughter to go full-prepared. Wish her and all of the women of Texas a resounding victory!

By the way, check out UT’s tweet with your slogan from a while back…

I was going to remind you that I noticed Da Bears did not get “pummeled” by the Packers. In fact, they beat them. Back up QB vs. back up QB. And I’m not buying your “reverse psych” excuse either. Nice try in trying to wiggle out of a Big Mistake tho. πŸ™‚

      Senate advances gay rights bill

The Senate voted 61-30 on Monday to begin debate on legislation that would create workplace protections for gay and transgender people in all 50 states.

The Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) received the 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster, and will now have to move through a series of procedural hurdles before final Senate passage, which is expected later this week.

Seven Republicans joined Democrats in voting to advance the bill: Sens. Susan Collins (Maine), Kelly Ayotte (N.H.), Rob Portman (Ohio), Pat Toomey (Pa.), Dean Heller (Nev.), Mark Kirk (Ill.) and Orrin Hatch (Utah)….

Unfortunately, Bob, I don’t believe Boehner gives two cents for his legacy. He believes his seat is safe and if that fails, he’s been promised some cushy lobbying job and a wealthy retirement. In the meantime, he’s been sent to do as much damage as he can to the president and the country. I think. on some deeply personal level, Boehner would be more comfortable being in the minority. The pressure would be off him, he would still get his payola, and he could drink in peace. My goal is to make sure he gets in the minority and stays there.

A late night laugh for anyone still awake – “over there”

In my world we are sometimes critical of the lack of knowledge by US folks in relation to other world countries – this evening I just found the opposite and really wonder about some folks reality

So there was a question on a quiz show – who replaced Hillary Clinton as US SoS – options for answer

John Kerry, John McCain, Al Gore, Mitt Romney

    Answer given – Mitt Romney

I’m wondering if this contestant knows who is the US President?
